Have you heard that Monk thinks they didn’t deserve to lose, he says that they deserved at least a point because they were far the better team! Was he watching the same match that I was watching? He lives in cloud cuckoo land! He also reckons that they should of had two penalties and we should of had two players sent off for over the top tackles, Hernandez and Ayling! What a door handle! Not a bit of grace in defeat! MOT

Monk is a moron
Sooo glad we won. I think history will show the team that score more goals deserve to win. Because they take their chances and score. Rather than winge about us. Winge about your finishing.

No need to answer that question Ed as I’ve just listened to a radio interview with Tony Yeboah saying he hasn’t even got a cold never mind being dead! He is overwhelmed at all the messages and even more messages saying how happy they are that it is all a lie! Chuffed to bits he’s still with us! A legend in a league of his own!

Not yet the new dawn but we are walking in the right direction. The team yesterday reminded us that they can do it, just needs belief and commitment

So what did we learn from Middlesbrough game compared to recent form? I think the first is that Eunan O'Kane is a situational player. Best option we have when we know we can dominate the Burton Albions and Barnsley's but not suited to tight close games. That suits a Phillips-Veira midfield. Herhandez must be used sparingly. Had a terrific game vs Middlesbrough, but play him too often and for too long he will tire. Very important at his best. Lacklustre at his worst. Really impressed with Berardi considering his temper could easily have reacted to provocation (how Ayala was not sent off I'll never know) . Lonnergan had a much better game compared to the Brentford calamity. A goalscorer, left back and centre back would see us into the play-offs i think

Alex mate can't agree with OKane comment. He has been one of our better players so far as he has far more creative ability than the other two. i'm a Viera fan but i thought he was poor yesterday. And by the way i hope you are right when it comes to dominating teams "like Barnsley" as usaully they are piece off piss games!

Alex, I understand what your saying, unlike some . Berardi worked hard need to keep it up, only bad thing about the game was the linesman, still onwards and upwards.

Yes we do need a strong left back but for my money January should see us not gamble on an unknown Goalkeeper but go out there, identify the best there is (in our price range) then stretch the budget and go get him.

There's a bloke called Green doing nowt just down the road. He'd fit in nicely!

Personally I think Lonergan just had a 'mare vs Brentford and that he will be alright for the rest of the season. If I turn out to be wrong I'd rather we give Bailey Peacock-Farrell a shot before spending for another GK. After all I understand he is rated well. We have 3 goalkeepers in our club who could be considered, 1 of them should work for the rest of the season. I back Lonners personally for now

Give me a passionate ER atmosphere of the 70's, 80's and to some extent the 90's any day, I suppose it depends what era and age your brought up on tho.

Didn’t get chance to see the game yesterday due to other commitments but heard the lads and the fans did us proud. Hope we can see an upturn in form again now and the bad run for the season is over.

Very good result and performance. TC must have done something during the break . The team were up for it - the pressing and physical side was much improved although we did come off second best a few times in that department. Passing and speed of passing was also improved although again there were a few shaky moments. I haven't been a great fan of Roofe since his arrival but I thought he stepped up a couple of gears yesterday and gave their defence something to think about in a way Lassogga hasn't. Even Phillips was good without being too reckless - still got booked but the referee left a bit to be desired. Alioski was better. Hope he can improve his first touch as the season progresses. Ayling also seems to have come out of his dip in form. All in a good win and hopefully we are on the upward curve.

It’s on Glonews that Tony has died! Ed is it true that this is a hoax? Disgusting if it is although I’d be glad if he hasn’t if you get me!

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe it to be true, it is certainly not from any reputable sources.}

Good win yesterday, fans were at it again. I went to the game and didn't see the penalty incident, but I've been told that if anything it was a foul on ayling. Still 3 points and Garry given nothing to brag about. A few players caught my eye for good and bad reasons. let's start with good, pablo hernandez. I imagine TC has been waiting for that attacking trio of hernandez, saiz, and alioski to play like that all season, and yesterday they did, so fair play TC for sticking to your guns. Pablo deserved man of the match, bu i also think alioski, vieira, and jansson did too. Good to see players working hard and winning the ball first, and if they dont, going and winning it, something okane doesn't do enough of. Phillips shone again, been saying it for weeks he deserves his place week in week out, and i imagine he will start on wednesday. Ayling a good performer too, brilliant first half, we'd be lost without him and i struggle to see why we should change any of that back 4 for the next few games, its brilliant everyone loves a challenge. My worries are roofe, lonergan, and dallas. Roofe has gone right off the pace since signing lasogga, i don't think he's scored and his performances are poor, he seems lazy. Ekuban ahead of him in the pecking order for ST role IMO, i like ekuban he works hard and chases everything, we've nto seen much of him infront of goal but if its good we should consider starting him more. If Lasogga not fit i think ekuban deserves a stat on wednesday. Lonergan can't seem to catch a ball and looks nervous with it on the ground, we are lucky we have such good defenders otheriwse we would concede a lot more i think. Finally I worry for dallas, he hasn't really kick started his season fully for us yet and its a shame because he's a great player, versatile, strong, and a very good shot. With that attacking 3 playing as they were yesterday he won't get a look in, maybe he could come on against woles, or start against barnsley hopefully. I like him and he deserves more game time. Antonsson scored 2 at the weekend, anyone mind bringing him back in january, 6 in 11 appearances for blackburn this season, more than he's scored in a leeds shirt, is league one his level, or did he not get a chance because of wood?

Did you watch the same game, it was one of roofe's best game in a leeds shirt.

I also think Roofe had a good game. Apart from being instrumental in the second goal, he worked hard and did the things PML and Wood don't do. He moves around and gets involved. This team doesn't need a target man waiting for the ball. Roofe may not be the answer long term - and Ekuban did enough to indicate he's going to be a handful - but Roofe did well for us yesterday.

Some good points, that I do agree with Samo, partic re Phillips and the creative 3 linking very well. However, like others, I disagree re Roofe. I thought he ran himself into the ground yesterday, was always available, hassled there defence endlessly, and his play for the second goal was class. I'm hoping he'll keep it up no, so we have some real competition upfront. especially if we do bring nations on back. MOT!

Don't understand what roofe would have to do to impress you, yesterday was one of his best games and he played really well, ran his socks off and created the opening for Hernandez to cross for the second goal. Agree with the other points and ekuban does look a good good handful but roofe deserves another start after yesterday

Top player is young Rooooooooooooofe :) he's not the quickest but he is one of the best close controllers of the ball in the squad.

21 Nov 2017 07:55:54
Issue with Roofe is he will only run if he's on the ball, start of the season I used to think he was great and excellent down the right. If he's off the ball i don't think he closes down enough, ekuban does this all day long. Roofe can score goals, he just didn't get enough opportunity, he took his chance in impressing on Sunday but he is still a fringe player and needs to prove himself.

He's already proved himself, stick him down the middle, interchanging with Saiz and Pablo . it's his position ! !
