I agree with most of the a wins a win comments on here and in general I am satisfied with our start to the season.
But I struggle with the logic of playing Wootton at right back, he was shocking for their goal. Surely yesterday was an opportunity to play Byram at right back and have a midfield of Ad, Cook and Mowatt with Dallas and Botaka wide.
At 2-0 up we showed an alarming lack of nous. You know they are going to come at you and yet we never used Botaka . Pace to exploit them going for it, but we just invited them on with no plan B and when they scored it looked like another draw was on the cards. Even when they had one sent off they still looked a threat something we rarely did.

Got to agree with that, Byram should have gone to full back and Botaka should have come on as soon as they got their goal, Wooton not up to it.

Well even from the start, if he decided not to play Berardi, why not play Sam there? Very strange

We were never in control, even at 0-2 up. your has explained his reasoning for introducing Wooton, but I agree, Byram should have dropped back and the team mentioned by 1LU could have started. Byram and Taylor pushing up both sides would have given them a lot to think about and given the midfield a chance to play. As it was, we were never in control and we couldn't put Botaka on as it wouldn't have been fare - not for a debut! Be interesting to see who he puts out against Middlesbrough- tough game! I cannot go but my niece is going in my stead - she has a right gob on her! choose well Uwe or suffer the Roth of psycho niece πŸ˜‚

Not a great win but a win. Disapointed with midfield really, not quick enough getting ball from defence to attack and not giving Wood much support. If Taylor can get in there why can't Murphy or Mowatt. Hope Botaka is as good as his rep. Byram needs to get back to full back. Bright side is we are improving and when midfield get the confidence to push up think we will hammer someone

worth noting a good performance by the silver vest. he needed that.

we'll need another performance from him like last season's at boro to come away with anything me thinks.

Doesn't matter what anyone says regarding yesterday's win.
At times you need some luck & yesterday was our lucky day πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

This is our team and it will have to do all season
We may add one or two but I doubt it
I think mc has given uwe what he asked for
So. Two questions
Is this team a top 6 team?
And
Is uwe capable of getting us up?
I think we have the players to get top 6 if all in form
Not sure bout uwe though
Not doom and gloom but I believe little cracks appearing in uwes makeup!

I still believe we need a strong experienced midfielder and a cb ,ok sil did well yesterday goal not his fault .
Byram looks to going in jan which should give us the ability to sign a couple of players ,also rumours that clubs will be in for Taylor who has been one of our best players so far .
To early me to call Aus aside from Bristol most of the other sides we have played are putting results together .
I'm still not convinced that we are playing our best 11 ,as Mowatt and Byram have not been as last season .
I still believe we should play 4-4-2 and have Erwin on the bench and use players who perform well in dev games ,this is a reward .

I find the blind support of Silvestri quite worrying when everyone knows a suspect goalkeeper equals a shaky defence.

Great to win
Obviously with 2-5-1 record. We are proving hard to beat. Which is good!

A great 3 points - not a great win (we were lucky and it's about time we got some!) Really need to tighten up and be more threatening - we don't create enough and whilst we look good on the counter - how many times do we see it fizzle out and come to nought. Still lots of work to do. Too many one man shows and not enough team efforts. Just my humble oppinion😜

I thought the 4 3 3 system would of suited Mowatt to the ground. Being the most forward of the three, behind the striker, should be bringing goals from the lad. For some reason he is off his game. My prediction of 12 plus league goals is looking dicey. The man has lots of talent although a wee bit slow, then again that didn't stop Lampard scoring bundles.
Someone else once said that he reminded him of Lampard, BW I think, and I think he is right. Now, just waiting for the inevitable 8 goals in 6 games! Here's hoping. MOT my hopeful friends.

well remembered corky. I do think mowatt when on form is like fat frank, cook reminds me of a young raw gazza and taylor reminds me of the best left back we have had in many a year. although wooten reminds of of bambi on ice and belluschi reminds of me of a complete nut case
