Can all you nasty, scary Leeds fans who attended last night's match at Burnley please hang your heads in shame. You scared poor Charlie Taylor and Chris Wood that much the nice police men asked for the penalties to be taken in front of the nice gently Burnley fans. And shame on you Ladbrokes, Hahaha, love the pitch to be our next sponsor.

So, view from the stand last night. rode out luck first half, but dug in and showed great desire and team spirit, klich was exceptional first half, shaunassey looks a real find, Taylor got a lot of joy first half down the left, once we brought sacko on 2nd half it stopped Taylor going fwd as he was wary of sackos pace, got to say it's as well as I have seen hadiki play in a long time, Taylor looked scared of him. bringing Pablo on as a 10 with 20 to go was the key sub, he got his foot on the ball and we started playing. some top performances with klich being our mom by a mile for me. great to see the fans come over at the end, sacko beradi and alioski giving their shirts to the fans was a nice touch. alaw. mot!

Thanks Leeeeds really appreciate the post match update for those of us unable to make the the game your feedback is very much appreciated. Klich has been THE player I've been very excited to see the potential. Was he our first signing? Clearly the recruitment team realised there was something we needed to cash in on πŸ‘

I see a bit of a discussion going on here about, Griot, CBJ and the keeper. A bit like the discussions about Sacko. Managing a team of 30 plus personalities and egos is never easy in any job, but I think we have a very good manager who knows how to handle players. He doesn't seem to give up on people until he is absolutely sure and he gives chances but the emphasis is on performance. If any of the above players don't convince him, they won't stay here long! He has shown with CBJ that he won't play him just because of who he is or where he is from. Likewise Sacko got a break and another chance. Not saying TC doesn't make mistakes, probably could have tried a few diff faces for Millwall but pretty sure he will learn from them. Let's have confidence in him and let him manage.

I know he's only 19 and hasn't had much game time but can anyone tell me what's so special about Grot? Every time I've seen him near the ball I thought he was tripe.

Saw CBJ's face when he was on he bench in an earlier fixture this season and thought then that there was an attitude problem . He needs to learn the old motto " Side Before Self" or he will find his career going down hill quite fast . Its all about attitude and how hard you work, if you cannot prove it at our current level you sure as hell can't prove it at a higher level . Someone needs to have a kind word in his ear, he then needs to take that on board very quickly or he won't get to many more opportunities .

20 Sep 2017 19:58:37
Yes, I saw his face, on the bench, and hoped that he was pissed off with himself because if he thought he was too good to be here or too good to be subbed then the lad is in deep trouble and needs a counsellor before a trainer.

I thought it funny that our penalty was given for shirt pulling. I thought these new shirts were supposed to be that tight they were just about impossible to grab hold of! I've heard from next season the players a going to play naked and be sprayed white/black (delete as appropriate) to stop it altogether! πŸ˜ƒ

This shirt pulling (and grappling) in the box needs to be sorted out. Certainly it should stop. Certainly it needs to be punished but If you did that then there would be 3 or 4 penalties (minimum) per game? Maybe not the way to go but what if the punishment was a 15 minute sin bin with the corner/free kick taken again? As with all new rules there would be a flurry of sin bins initially. "Pundits" would discuss it for hours but after a while things would settle down. The game would go on and hopefully more attackers would score more goals, which after all is what we pay to see. As with all fair play initiatives it can only come in at, at least, Eufa level to make it even for all defenders home and abroad.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

20 Sep 2017 14:03:20
even if more penalties were given initially players would soon learn not to do it and it would settle down but the game would become fairer and like you say definitely more goals from set pieces. It has to be in all leagues otherwise in Europe British teams would be at a severe disadvantage.

What was Borthwick Jackson doing last night? He was either playing with a heavy flu, Malaria or something, or both, OR he just did not want to be there. Everything he tried went wrong and pretty soon Burnley sussed it out and played down his side. Tc was right in subbing him (maybe earlier? ) and embarrasing to say he was outplayed in the position by a winger. Hopefully the look on his face, when he sat back on the bench, was anger at himself for letting himself down, for if he thinks he's degrading himself by turning out last night and not at Old Trafford then the boy is going nowhere. Maybe we should wrap him up, stick a stamp on him and post him back to Manchester asap. Sad, because I had high hopes for the lad when he joined, but maybe we have just seen why TC does not pick him anymore especially if he takes that attitude onto the training pitch.

What a diamond we have unearthed in Shaughnessy. Positional play, interceptions, bringing the ball out and passes setting up attacks. All first class last night and belied the lad's age. On that form you can't drop him but how do you dislodge Coops and Pontus? that's a (good) headache to give TC. The lad must be proud of his nights work and to cap it off he could probably still get half price on the bus home.

20 Sep 2017 14:06:27
I was thinking about this and maybe Shaughnessy would flourish as a defensive midfielder? He was supposed to be a midfielder apparently and i think he would have been more useful there (if we had the defensive cover, which we didn't) against Millwall than Phillips.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Sep 2017 11:50:03
Barcelona manager Dyche, crying about the Leeds fans treatment of Taylor and wood last night. He is upset that we should be grateful these 2 brought 20 million into our club, and they did nothing but serve us well. Think he needs a reality check, did he forget Taylor went on strike . Wonder if one of his players did simular before moving on would be not say fans have a right to their opinion. Me personally I don't give a rat's arse as maybe in 12 months time our new crop of stars will be strutting their stuff in the prem with Leeds. They already playing in front of bigger crowds.

Another 3 - 5am stint. Fell asleep at 2-2. Sorta content with that score. And then woke up at 6.15 and started chanting! Well done boys. Some questions for those that saw it! How did cblicki and grot and klich do? Are they quality? Do they work hard enough? Dallas was a strange substitution, was he ok in defence? Looked by stats as mainly backs to wall? Did we improve on millwall game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Sep 2017 08:02:16
Cibicki didn't really do much but worked hard. Grot struggled to make an impact but did a lot of closing down their defenders. Klich looked quality, good reading of the game and really calm and composed on the ball. It was pretty backs to wall but opened up in the second half and we had a few chances. On a different day burnley could have put away a few of their chances and the game could have been very different but we played well and should have had the victory in normal time but the free kick was excellent at the end. Definitely better than the millwall game.
