Ok mates, question,? We all know woods ain't cutting it at moment yet his work rate is pretty good, so does anyone think lafferty will do any better or be the answer to our goal problem? I'm not convinced?

PW I think he is more clinical than woods certainly from an international point of view TBH and he would link up very well of course with Dallas is who is playing so well at the moment, my only concern is how long would it take him to get up to speed having missed so much league football lack of minutes etc, think he would fit into our way and system very well though regards dj.

He is fit enough and good enough to score against top international defenders. He just needs to do it every week. He can improve fitness while scoring goals for us.

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new player profile about, James Milner

Yes I know, idiot that I am. It would help if I gave his name - Adam Armstrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - was extremely highly rated as a kid, but has dropped off the radar recently, hence the loan out to a League One side. Lots of potential still.}

21 Dec 2015 17:18:37
Just noticed the leading League 1 goalscorer (with 13) is an 18 year old Newcastle player. Currently on loan at Coventry until 1 Jan 2016. He is reputedly worth 600k so: price, age, goals all look attractive. Does anyone know anymore about him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Armstrong is that?}

21 Dec 2015 17:02:14
Just read Evans explanation of the omission of Lee Irwin from the recent matchday squads. He says that he is not match fit (as he was at Motherwell) WHAT? He came in June, 6 months ago. Do we not have a fitness coach? Do we not monitor condition daily/weekly? Whose fault is it if he is still not fit enough to play 90mins? There is no mention of injury on the OS so no excuse there. It does point out the miserley 6 goals on 38 appearances so not quite looking to him as our saviour just yet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I would be more bothered by the way he said that Erwin can go back to Scotland if he doesn't get fit quickly. Seemed a bit harsh to say that publicly. Not a way to build team spirit.}

21 Dec 2015 20:51:49
Ed I have seen the sort of stuff they eat in Scotland. That's no place to get fit.

{Ed001's Note - good point.}

Anyone seen the latest charge against our ex MD of cyber-crimes, apparently slagging off GFH,

Shame the fl fpp rules don't apply to individuals or institutions with 25% or less stakes in a club, they would/should be down the road in no time.

While I'm not necessarily defending DH's running of lufc I do feel of the chap who has been incarcerated from early mid 2014 without any charges being brought against him, and no signs of anything going to a trial.

looks like GFH are well connected in Dubai and if they say jump, the justice system there (contradiction in terms) jumps.

{Ed001's Note - it is actually very common here to get locked up for this. Usually no one cares because the people getting locked up are low paid workers that are locked up in a hole for a year then thrown out of the country. The laws here are extremely strict regarding insulting people on social media. It is very western in many ways, but not in that one.}

21 Dec 2015 18:55:03
I've really no sympathy for him. Live by the sword, die by the sword as the old saying goes. Steel from LUFC? You can rot forever. No compassion for him. Apologies if that upsets anyo of my fellow fans on here, but it's my rather definite opinion.

Not so soft Southern. Your opinion a tad harsh. DH greedy, naive and stupid and deserves some time for his criminal conduct but in a UK cell not over there. GFH not exactly a beacon of exemplary shining light either.

Somebody somewhere has a doll of David Haigh that resembles a pin cushion. Talk about twisting the knife, according to the mirror after finishing one sentence he is now threatened with another spell in jail for slander. The stinking fingers of GFH seem to be involved here. Whether he sent it or not if it was derogatory - it is probably true.

Leodis

It is negligence of the highest order from his legal representatives not to have utterly destroyed his social media accounts. I saw it coming a mile off. He was set up before. He was always going to be set up again. First thing you get taught in this field is prevent the second sting. Feel sorry for DH but he has not thought his processes through correctly and is hardly an innocent party. If his lawyers fail early next year which is likely I don't see a way back for him. Shame.

Leeds fan living in Leicester, all foxes fans glad to see the back of woods, started for them just like at Leeds scoring and doing well. Then absolultly nothing. Rumour has it he was sent to New zealand to sort out recreational problem then sold asap.

we went to leicester for Vardy and bought Wood by mistake?

Wood may come good especially if he gets fitter and someone he idolizes can teach him how to play and shoot.

I could probably teach him thing or two but alas I believe JFH would be a superior teacher. That's JFH not GFH.

Yes Wood is doing a job yardy yardy yah but he is not a patch on Becchio when at Leeds. Becchio held the ball up and scored goals which is what we need and to pay 3 million and not have that is the real sticking point. How much did Vardy cost from non-league? Just curious but I doubt he cost 3 million and is a better player. My point is that for that price in the championship I expect at the very least he can score when one on one. I have never cursed a leeds player as much as I did when he had the chance to make it 4-1 at Wolves. He was shocking and couldn't believe how much time he had on the ball too. I hope for us he does come good. If the players were a tad tired after the 3 day turn around why replace him with Ant? It's supposed to be a team game and we have a 2 day turn around after Forest so Evans can't expect the same team to keep up the consistency. I'm sick of signing players that either aren't fit enough or aren't up to championship standard, it's a waste of the clubs resources and time!

Wood must be brilliant in training because I cannot see any other reason to keep picking him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Dec 2015 21:50:22
Dropping him from Antenucci means deprivation of option of bringing on Antenucci from bench. Don't think Antenucci can play on his own. He operates deeper. There's currently no one else to replace Wood until January that is.

Wood is not doing much if any better than morison but he has better players around him. Morison ran the line well but was never in a position to score many goals. Wood leads the line well and has had quite a few chances and missed most of them. The bottom line is at present not much difference between the two 'strikers' but the club is £3 million pounds worse off. I hope people who say if he gets one he will get a lot more. Unfortunately this hasn't proved to be the case so far. Good result against Preston but without Silvestre and Belusci we would have dropped two points possibly three.

Some people are never satisfied 10 points from last 4 games. If someone had offered us 13 position by Christmas with 5 points off the play offs and 11 points off relegation, a month ago, a lot of people on here wouldn't have thought it possible. Yesterday we played a team who had 5 days rest while we only had 3. I'll take another 5-6 like that even if Wood doesn't score.

You're spot on Deda. I didn't go to the game yesterday due to work commitments but according to big Stevie's interview we were tired and had to grind a result out. Winning ugly is part and parcel of being a successful team and sometimes we'll play better and lose! I'd take a scrappy win every day of the week if we keep getting 10 points out of a possible 12.
I hope we can keep within touching distance by the January sales and we'll see if Cellino invests in the team.
