For me, you play your best team available to you based upon current form and ability. The Charlie Taylor comments really surprise me. Far and away the best left back in this league and probably one of the top five English left backs in the whole country, if fit how could we ever not consider starting him. Berradi has been exemplary, but any discussion as to whether he starts should solely be in relation to right back. Even Beradis biggest fans recognise on the left as game and professional as he always is, there is no comparison between him and Charlie. Ayling missed a couple through first his new arrival and suspension so for me it's Beradi's position now and it's Aylings job to shift him. Let's not forget, Charlie or his charmingly sweet Agent fell out of negotiation many moons ago, but he's been both open and upfront from the outset based on those private discussions he wants to move on. I don't like it but when he plays he's been brilliant as witnessed against Brighton. Let's not naively think Woody's agent is licking his lips at every goal he scores or that Pontus 'may' have been sorely tempted by an offer of guaranteed premiership football with Southampton. The days of one club loyalty long gone my biggest pet hate is the badge kissers BUT again they are our players until they're no longer ours, they wear the shirt I'll cheer them loudly but always play the best team you have for me anyway.

Come Charle don't pretend to be class of 92 we do understand. You were given a great opportunity by Leeds at a very early age had a very good season or so and now your bigger than the club. I do also appreciate you are a very good player but not good enough to to dislodge those playing until dips in form or injury and I am sure you would also be very difficult to dislodge if you were playing. I love Charlie Taylor but I also expect a little commitment it's a two way Street.

great post Class, I agree, firstly taylor is best in league which is why he is linked with bigger clubs and going prem he is not bigger than the club but is playing at a better level than the club and should be in prem and pushing for england spot. can not believe anyone would say otherwise.

Also Berardi is not good on left (not sure if i mentioned this) had to use many different clips on youtube to prove this on FB but in the end most agreed with what i was saying (i'm nothing if persistent) .

What i don't get is why beckford got different treatment, beckford's goals got us up, hopefully taylor will do same then after that fair play go on and do well son, after looking over highlights you can see beradi cost us our first goal against hudds and therefor arguably the game. Would people want to risk that in playoff finals against same team.

just because he is going to a bigger club in better level on better money? I for one would not, Doug as for commitment i don't think anyone can questions taylor's commitment on the pitch look at Brighton game he didn't look like someone not trying and on the pitch is all i care about leading into and during the playoffs which we have a chance of winning for the first time in years.

Wish I was Charlie Taylor Dougie 😂 Money grabbing badge kissing, oh wait no wait ! Charlie is just better that's all Dougie, that's all I LOVE Beradi but read on Facebook that he's not strong on the left side. Let's say if Pontus had been a complete tool behind the scenes, in days gone by we wouldn't have a clue now with social media we are flooded with conspiracy theories (great for banter sites though) but My key has sorted quietly and effectively and to be fair dodged a bullet against Brighton by playing Pearce. By the same logic, Pontus may have to wait for Pearce to get injured or have a dip in form ? Blooming eck I hope not 🙈

6 of 1 I feel class and that's what we love about opinions. I feel my gripe really is that Charlie was given an opportunity very early on and it only seems 5 minutes before he wants to seek greater royalties I certainly don't doubt his talent though. But we are also on the cusp of the prem so what greater time for him to say " you know what I love this club you are now showing aspirations to move forward I'm going to sign" what a lift that would be for all

Spot on Dougie, what a brilliant and refreshing change for us to be having fun discussing the best team to take us back to the Prem ! Unreal, but fantastic all the same, how far we have come in such a short time. Very shrewd man that Mr Celino wonder what the odds were when he made the season ticket refund promise? Either way we are rapidly building an infrastructure and team to match the most amazing fans ever 👍MOT

Class Mr C is very shrewd because he knew if we were doing well the the gates would rise therefore the club makes more money. I would assume the gate average has risen by 4000 per game over the season compared to last year and times this say by £30 is £120000 so he probably won't be spending a penny when you take this into account plus the projected rise in sales of season tickets next year. He's nearly as clever as me lo;) )

can someone please answer the difference between taylor who is a judas to a greater or lesser extent and some say should be dropped for a far weaker player who costs us a game against a team we might play in playoffs and may cost us again and stop us getting prem football, and beckford who was as bad as taylor but is loved and always cheered when he comes back to chants of one of your own?

in my honest opinion only a loony would say don't play taylor, you have to watch his performance against brighton to see he is 100% while on the pitch (where it matters) and the first Huddersfield goal to see the problems of playing berardi on the left (made a mistake my nan would not of made because he ain't left footed that effectively single handedly cost us the game).

in the playoffs and while we still might get second why not play the best team? why risk dropping points and goals? why play an far lesser player in that position? why is this even a debate when the answer to me seems really obvious.

Please people watch the first Huddersfield goal, now replace berardi and see cooper making the same mistake he would of been slaughtered yet no one mentions this? yes berardi is far better than cooper, yes berardi is great (on the right) but on the left he is no better than cooper in the middle (decent but with mistakes in him) yet some say drop taylor for doing what beckford did but is still loved for?

I respect everyone on here and your opinions which is why i am baffled because to me it seems as easy as going back to year we come up and say drop beckford for kandol as beckford won't sign? i am genuinely baffled?

Berm I agree with a lot that you are saying but beradi has being brilliantly wherever he is put all season and to analyse one mistake is not fair on him, there is no doubt to Charlie's ability. All my point is that the team without him have produced results this season beyond where we thought we might be and I for one would not want to de-harmonise the team by playing someone who is not committed after only a short time as regular player. You are right he is a great player but I always remember Wallace going to Rangers what a season he had that year before going on a bosman. MOT

Re Charlie Taylor! if he is that great what happened to all the so called bigger clubs interest in January, before you all scream he was injured, that didn't stop West Ham with Byram, (and where is he now? ) so I have to ask the question is CT attracting all this "bigger club" attention or is it press speculation? yes he is a good young player and will only improve as he gets older, though that's not always guaranteed, but and heres the rub in all this.

let's all be honest there is not one of you on here that would not change your employer to double/ treble your wage for doing exactly what you are doing now, so he leaves

the club will still move onwards and upwards. Football to a fan is about tribalism/ belonging, to a professional footballer its about making as much money as they can in the shortest possible time, its about making a living not playing football, money not loyalty, and we the fans in this day and age sadly need to accept this.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2017 17:48:05
BW you're right, don't play Berardi because he may have cost us a goal against Huddersfield but why stop there? ! ? ! ? Drop Green as he cost us a goal against Newcastle, don't let Ayling play again as he was at fault for one of the goals against Cardiff, Viera was at fault for the other so he shouldn't get a game in future, Philips cost us a goal against Brighton giving that penalty away as did Cooper too against Villa so they shouldn't be risked in the play offs too.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2017 19:56:13
LUFCPFL, if you read my posts you will see that mistake is one of many that come from being wrong footed. we all cry don't let cooper play, he makes mistakes, but seem blind to the many berardi 'wrong footed' mistakes when this can be corrected by playing him on the right side.

We moan when players are played out of position yet call for him to play ahead of taylor over contract nonsense when he is committed when on the pitch. again i like berardi but anyone who says play him over talyor don't understand football or is hurt by contract and saying this out of spite to taylor.

I also hear monk is saying he won't sign a contract yet! bit worrying, monk clearly ain't leeds. let Luke Madge pick the team from here on in. i know he is just a youth team physio and not the best man for the job, but at least he is under contract.

You pick your best team in playoffs Berardi is not our best left back, I would argue he is our best right back although ayling is also great. taylor was our player of the season lat year and still 1st choice left back. also funny you didn't say drop taylor? he don't make mistakes (although he probably would on the right).

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2017 21:03:34
Agree Taylor is our best LB (best in the league by far) just wanting to make the point that all players make mistakes at some point.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2017 00:43:09
i do agree but when they make a few you try and cut them out, hence not playing cooper and not playing berardi at left back. green was ajoke and now he is very good, wood has got better and better i can't think of any taylor mistakes but he may of made one once, but i'm lost that so many think berardi should play left?

to me it is like saying play wood in goal and green in defensive mid, literally that stupid a statement and many leeds fans are saying it, i do like berardi and hope he gets a run but if he plays left back over taylor i might burn monk and er down to the ground with anger

honestly Dougie, top one is out and i think second is out but on recent form i would not bet my house that we won't do top to, as for top three i think we have a good chance and at 50-1 that is great odds, look at what the odds are now and that will tell you what bookies think, bet it is about 5-1 if that top three. well done mate good shout and hope it comes in mate.

Just been looking at the run ins for the top four, and even with my best Leeds tinted spectacles on I can only see us getting third. I reckon the final points will be Newcastle 91, Brighton 89, Leeds 86 and Hudds 83.
It will take a couple of major upsets (always possible) for us to grab an automatic spot. Not given up hope yet but realistically think it is the play offs for us. (would happily have took that in 6th place at start of season) anyone else had a look and worked out their finishing totals yet? MOT and heres to the upsets happening.

Pontus's response to the Southampton question doesn't fill me with confidence

Believable0 Unbelievable7

21 Mar 2017 08:23:16
Is it just me or are there fickle people on here. Portus has been great before and after he signed and yet some are likening him to Bamba after he signed, ie went off the boil. For me he wears a magic hat and I don't believe we would be where we are today without him. The four at the back for me are Ayling and Baradi Janson and Kyle Bartley. Charlie Taylor although good hasn't signed hasn't committed to Leeds and for that reason and the fact the four mentioned are awesome should warm the bench. Thought's guys. MOT

Believable2 Unbelievable1

21 Mar 2017 09:33:28
Hi Dougie, There's fickle people everywhere, not just on here buddy. However, I must admit I agree with you about this. Pontus was dropped and I don't think it had much to do with him or any 'attitude'. He tweeted about the togetherness of the team before he shot off for international duty. Why do that if you're p*ssed off with everyone? Even the mighty Pontus is allowed a bad day or two. He's not a machine (although pretty close) !

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 09:46:40
Agree. Simple as . Nothing against Charlie at all, but he's decided he's going long ago and the others have more than deserved their places

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Mar 2017 09:53:52
Agree Pontus has give his all in every game and it is fickle to say we are better off without him, ie play Ayling at CB. Taylor not sure about, have a sneaky feeling if we go up we may keep him. And no doubt he is class left back so would keep playing him.

Agree3 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 10:28:13
The four at the back should be the four in form. Pontus ain't and he has been average since signing. Not fickle. Fact Thoughts guys?

Agree0 Disagree2

21 Mar 2017 10:31:43
Well put Dougie. Pontus has a couple of below par games and he is criticised for not trying. What utter nonsense. A below par game for Pontus is far better than the dross we have had to endure in our centre defence for the past few years. Criticism comes from the same people who will have watched the game on TV on Saturday and felt that Cooper is the way forward but forget that if not for Green he would have scored an own goal.

Agree7 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 10:37:23
Spot on Dougie. Pontus has reinvigorated our club almost single handedly, there's no doubt in my mind we'd be mid table without him. It's not just the performances but how he's lifted the whole club and with it turned ER into a fortress. Some fans need to get a grip.

Agree4 Disagree1

21 Mar 2017 10:58:12
Agree Notts we were all over the place defensively on Saturday. Murray was left free to have a shot on goal about 4 times. If it weren't for two outstanding Green saves we probably would've lost that. We got away with it, but probably won't next time.

Agree2 Disagree1

21 Mar 2017 11:29:10
Aus I know we all see things differently but for me as I said earlier Janson has inspired our team to try and win every ball. He is what I call a true leader on the pitch, maybe his ergo has got big but we are all like that when things are going good. Cooper I feel gives his all for the club which is all you can ask, but a little off the pace when you compare the two.

Agree3 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 11:27:46
Agree, hopefully some of Garry's time is being spent searching out a good, strong, ball playing CB so that we cannot (possibly) be held to ransome by a player. Either you play 100% for the team (every game) or you are benched. Simple as. Right now Pontus is part of the rock I just cannot see that with Cooper. Right now we do not have a replacement that can do a reliable job without giving each fan a heartattack.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 13:46:51
PJ has got to be in the team for me if he is fit unless for a tactical reason he needs to be left out. Monk's job is all about man management and if he needed to drop PJ for a tactical reason or to teach him a lesson about how the team comes first then fair enough and I'm sure it will be for the benefit of the team and the individual in the end. Hopefully PJ will be back, raring to go and back to his brilliant best in the next game.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 00:07:32
When you see the teams around us are either parachute payments or sugar daddy teams and then Hudds have loanees from Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, it just shows what a great job Monk has done and doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2017 09:58:31
And it tells you what a big job udders would have rebuilding if they go up and players have to go back to their clubs. Monk worked wonders with squad. can't see many clubs around us with parachute payments though, Norwich, Villa have not exactly set the league alight.

i think we would have a fair bit of building to do ourselves if we went up. a fair number of our current squad are on loan (Bartley, Sacko, Ped, Barrow (who? ) and of course the irrepressible Grimes) , Taylor is probably off so there are a few crucial positions that we would need to strengthen. That said, who of the current loanees would we want to keep if we went up? I think we need better than Sacko but i would probably sign Bartley and maybe Ped if he keeps improving.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Mar 2017 14:25:19
If we went up I'd keep Pedraza and maybe Sacko as he has potential. Not sure about Bartley as he was poor for Swansea in the PL and you'd need a proven PL CB alongside Jansson. Grimes and Barrow definite no.
