Don't get me wrong, we need a new defence BUT I'm afraid we've lacked that quality going forward. Need a strong, pacey goal machine on a cheap wage.

WARnock's Whites.

Well that should be easy enough to find

andy keogh would be great to link up with either varney or beckford if either come....

Believable0 Unbelievable8

Is this a joke?

Agree5 Disagree2

Think so I find this post odd as well, who would like to educate this person?

Agree3 Disagree0

We are going to go in a time wachine to work this one out, for reasons we do not know.
Many moons ago, about 6 months to be prasis. We took the option to hire a lean and pratential goal machine, one Andy Keogh step down and be are bullets form what we now know was cannon fodder(Wolves.)
The story goes, Andy was a good linkup play man but was Andy cap when it came to shooting. so he found this was to much for him.
Andy took off and signed up in london for the TA and never looked back.
Hope this will give him some insight into the life of Andy Keogh. mot4life

Agree1 Disagree1

Someone needs to educate you on putting sentences together.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi thank you for that piece of fun.
There is only one Keogh that Leeds should sign, and it is not Andy.
He makes Billy three goals look prolific.

Snodgrass keeping his options open according to SSN.

Wants to see if we sign Premier Class.

That will be a no Snoddy so he will be off then.

Just been looking at sky sports news, i saw qprs retrained and released list, how about danni Shittu because i rate him alit and it looks like clint hill is staying. What do you lot think?

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Shittu is a good player for Championship level. Imposing and strong. However, given that he is a big unit he struggles with mobility and pace. He has had fitness problems.

Milan have said El Shaarawy needs to build experience on loan, should we go for him?

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Would be an unbelievable signing! Not too sure how realistic it is tho

Agree3 Disagree0

Well were always making unbelievable signings. Problem is it unbelievably bad signings

Hes is wayyy too good for championship.

This is never going to happen, El Sharaawy would go out on loan to at least mid-table Premiership/Serie A

there is only 1 way we will bring in a player on a wage of around 20k and thats if we get a fee of around 10 mil for snoddy, mccormack and clayton and receive compo for white .but i wouldn't hold your breath because bates wants our transfer/wage budget to be between 9.5 and 11.5 mil per yr . bates isnt bothered if we have extra available we wont go above 11.5 mil for the new yr on a 23 man squad ,no matter how you try work it out we cant have 20 k per week players in aur squad

Warnock says you aren't wanted - stays at the club to milk wages.

Warock says he wants to build the club around you - rejects contract offer, believes he is worth better.

makes you think of the type of personality Grayson thought was good for our club.

21 May 2012 16:47:00
please lets not have the same as last season, excitement at who could come in then the matt swept away with 2nd class rubbish.i do think that we have to be optimistic as warnock would rather walk than have to settle for garbage.
yes id like to see snodgrass and mccormack stay but are hey really that great?..i mean you take mcanuff from reading, burke from brum and thomas ince from blackpool and snodgrass in my opinion not a patch on them or as consistent.only sell if money is reused on players.we really need some pace in the team and im sure warnock will look for this...shrew leeds

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Well said mate.
M

Agree4 Disagree0

I think we need Snoddy a lot more than he needs us. Ince and Burke have had one good season Snoddy has had 4, maybe if they do it year in and year out you will have a point.

Agree3 Disagree0

I like Snoddy and think he plays well...but he cant do diddly on his own. I would offload and cash in to buy better a better group of players and someone with delivery. STEVE DAVIES of DERBY may be cheaper alternative but left wing.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2012 16:39:31
Just a quick one...Snoddy has said that he wants to see what Warnock does with the team before he makes any decision about his future! He said he was taking a month off after the season ended and will resume talks in June! So hopefully by then Warnock will have a decent picture in place and Snoddy will March On with us all the way to the promises land!! MOT!!

Youngie!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Sadly I think he will see that McCormack and White have done one, we cant sell the deadwood, The Colonel Fried Chicken has kept his powder dry and we have missed out on all our targets. Warnock will probably have the hump as well. Snoddy will return from holiday and negotiate his exit.

Agree3 Disagree1

He will have to work fast if snoddy is to sign a new contract . with mccormack ,clayton and white expected to leave in the next few weeks they must replaced and then he still has to start from there by signing another 4 or 5 top players and then maybe snoddy will sign .personally i think warnock will look at things and realize that without selling snoddy we have no chance of competing for promotion this season coming.we need investment and that will come from these players been sold rather than some Arab coming in. we are unlucky to have a tight ass in charge of our club

I think this is great news for us all. Snodds will commit to the club but only if we are going to have a real push for the Prem. Just read this on bbc

"Being captain of Leeds United in the Premier League would be a dream come true.

"If anyone would have said that when I went down there as a 20-year-old, I wouldn't have believed them, I don't think anyone would have.

"But I am living in the real world. We didn't get there.

"If things change in terms of bringing players in and getting Premier League class and kicking-on then it's a no-brainer. You sign the contract and move on."

I think its simple, if he stays we have shown ambition, if he goes then i dont think we have shown him enough
MOT

We are not going to push for anything so snoddy will leave next month

Went to legends at Grand Theatre in Leeds last night. Interesting what Lorimor said " Snodgrass and McCormack have not signed their improved contracts, we would have expected them to have put mpen to paper by now " interesting to hear from the legend that is Peter Lorimer, some truth at last eh. I know we were all thinking it but at last someone has confirmed what we were worried about, that snoddy is not signing. That's why he was last off the pitch clapping the crowd after the Leicester game at the end of the season. He know he was off !

Believable2 Unbelievable7

If they won't sign, we should sell them NOW. We don't want or need players who aren't 100% right for the cause of Leeds United.

Agree4 Disagree1

Am i the only one who wouldnt mind all three leaving for decent money as long as it come back. ross is ok but could get better snodgrass is great, but slow and can have big dips in form, also dont think he is good with free kicks and corners which he always seems to take and not do much with ross 1.5 snods 2.5 id be happy with that. Same with clayton and white, white is quick but cant defend and not got great skills and shooting is worse than my nan so i would take fifty quid for him. NW will get better replacements if allowed. also dont want beckford back really think better out there in this league we dont want people who flopped at lesciter. MOT in NW we trust

Agree4 Disagree0

Well said number 2 reply just think there is possibly 7 to 10 million for all, even if we spent say 5 and 3 extra on wages we would have a great chance, just look at the quality of players being released! well said o.w

Agree3 Disagree0

But it never does go back into the squad lol

Agree0 Disagree1

SNODDY. MAC and everyone else. WE THE FANS cant leave our club. Either get with the program 100% or bugger off. You think your ambition to play in Prem is any different from ours ? If the team gave 100% last year we would be there. Sign or resign but dont fanny around with small talk cus we are not concerned

Agree0 Disagree1

21 May 2012 12:51:52
why is everybody wanting a realy good new striker when we have pretty much got one come pre season called somma although a new striker with pace would be nice.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

The problem is, now that ross is most likely leaving, we will only have 2 strikers. If warnock wants to play 4-4-2 next season, we will need at least another striker if not two as back up and to swap around and obviously we would like them to be good! I am a big Somma fan, but we have to have some more strikers apart from him and becchio, neither have much pace and we need to mix it up a bit {Ed013's Note - Still have Paynter!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi, Billy three goals is a better player than I, or most of those who post will ever be, strikers are a fragile breed, they all need a run to get confidence, something BTG has not had.
I will go out on a limb here, Becchio, Somma, and Paynter will do some damage next season, and the call will be Ross who? Oh yes, that's right, the bench warmer who had an average season but decided he was bigger than the club that paid his wages.
I say to any player who wants to leave Leeds, and we all know who they are, you may get more money elsewhere, but you will not be playing for the Mighty Whites.

tRip

Agree1 Disagree3

Paynter will only ever do damage to substitutes benches in the Championship due to his large rear end. He's a League One player at best.

Agree3 Disagree1

I think if no one comes in for paynter and he does stay he needs to work hard over the summer, lose some of that excess weight (which warnock will be working on, everyone knows his brutal fitness regimes) has a good pre season builds a bit of confidence he could fly in this league. Still need new strikers for pace but when this boy has a run in the team he knows where the net is

Agree2 Disagree2

Mccormack was one of the best players in our team this season with only snoddy ahead of him . 19 goals in a crap team doesn't equal average somehow . your just spitting your dummy out . if he wants to move clubs and get more money fair enough let him .hes got the right his contract is running out hes not saying he wont Finish his signed contract is he .if he just turned round and said he refused to play for leeds then fair enough get on his back,

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed, isnt paynter most likely being sold as hes on the transfer list? He isnt part of warnocks future plans, and some clubs are looking at him anyway, he shouldnt really be taken into account, its just becchio and somma left, correct me if im wrong {Ed013's Note - I know mate, lets see if someone takes him}

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2012 12:39:16
I'm just wondering before the season has kicked off who has confidence of Warnock getting us minimum of a play-off spot and if not should he be fired if he doesn't achieve it as Grayson had us lying in 7th in the league, 1 point off a play-off spot with the opinion of Warnocks supporters of a very poor team.

So my point is all the Warnock fans are expecting us to go up next season so surely anything less than a play-off spot is a step backwards with an alleged superb manager who now has more than enough time to build the squad he wants and if not even die hard Warnock fans must admit it will be a bad season??

I really hope Warnock proves me wrong and gets us up up but I just can't see it happening unfortunately.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

A bit of optimism will do you good! A manager who has had 7 promotions, promising start to the transfer window and the right players leaving. Maybe see where we are come the start of the season? and you'll probably be moaning about how we're going to come straight back down this time next year!

Agree4 Disagree1

I don't believe we will get promoted and if we are in mid table come Christmas warnock will just walk anyway .

Agree2 Disagree0

Why do you bother supporting a football team if you dont believe in them? What a really strange thing to say.

Ed, are there any strong rumours linking Beckford with Leeds, or has he just become the new Smith on these pages?! Does anyone actually beleive that he'll be in the team at the end of the transfer window? {Ed013's Note - Ken Bates has said Leeds got offered him twice last season, but that chapter is closed. Read in to that what you like mate}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I don't care who we get, as long as there good anothe to wear the white shirt. Just hope they don't wait till the end and end up with everyones left overs. We all know you need to strike while the irons hot to get anywhere in this league.
I hope we have a look in the lower leagues and oversea's trialists because we haven't done to bad down that avenue. Couple more signings before sgt warnock spends time with loved ones and i for one, will start to believe things are looking up.
As for the ones that don't want to stay the course. Move on because if you don't want to die for are club, then atleast have the decency to give us a hand up by sorting your life out and club. We are leeds united and we want to get on that crest of a wave. COME ON SGT!!! ATTACK!! mot4life

Beckford will never be a new Smith. Beckford can still play football.

is it me or is everyone getting worried about the fact that mccormack snodgrass and white wont sign new contracts. Its simple to me if they dont want to play for the club then go at the end of the day it all comes down to money not the fact its leeds united.
Go sign for wigan etc we will get promotion this season and they will going in the championship.
where has player loyalty gone its all about the money these days.
What do you think ed? {Ed013's Note - I would only worry if they are not replaced like the previous players, Howson, Gradel, Johnson, Beckford etc. However, if this was the case Neil would walk away. Behind the scenes Neil will know exactly what he has to play with and he will also know that he can buy in proven players to get us out of this league with player sales. Its early days and people are worrying already. If it gets to pre-season with no signings then I will change my opinion! Aidy and Ross are easily replaceable and although Ross has done well we have a striker coming back that will have a full pre-season to get fit and fingers crossed he can hit the ground running. Snoddy is slightly different, although he started the season very poor, come January he was a different player and scored a lot of important goals in a poor team. I agree with what you say, if they don't want to be here, goodbye!}

Believable9 Unbelievable0

My biggest concern about this possibility is that our team for next year then effectively consists of Lonergan + 10 new players. Not a problem if we get them in early enough for pre-season, but the team is going to look so different, it's going to make it a very interesting season as new players learn to play together.

Dear moaners,
Its only May. Stop all this panicking. All these players rumoured to be linked with us is ridiculous. We have three months to get a team together. Fans are not being fed on bullsh*t like most posts seem to say. For the last few years KB has stated so many times that he does his bidding and business in PRIVATE, he doesnt want loads of media speculation giving away his targets. Do you really think NW and KB are just twiddling their thumbs doing nothing? They know who they want and are currently doing battle with many parasitic 'agents' all day every day. If we, the fans, had any say in who we buy we'd have a squad of FIFTY already!! Let them do the hard work, we will know soon enough who's going to wear the shirt and who's not.
I for one cant wait for the season to start. Its going to be a fantastic league next term and i have the faith that we will be putting the BEST team out that we've had in many a year, whoever the personnel may finally be.

who would you say was sg's worst signing.for me id say fede bessoni.no idea what he saw in him.he was even terrible in his first pre season(think it was against wolves).he dropped him after being consistently poor for about 6 or 7 games.surely he must have been that bad at trials.but he signed him.
TS
{Ed013's Note - Good shout, I am sure Paul Rachubka will be among the worst signings}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is this permanenet signings or the never ending cycle of loan spells? We were like a revolving door for players under sg

Agree2 Disagree0

Young managers make mistakes, get over it! he did what he could under Bates' retraints and was sacked for saying what most of us were thinking

Agree3 Disagree3

I dont understand why people think it is ok for our best players like Snodgrass/McCormackto go, we cannot afford to loose them because we will not get the same quality player as a replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look how many mistakes Grayson made:
Mistakes: Lee Trundle, Liam Dickinson fedde bessone, Paul Ruhubka, Mikael Forsell, Billy Paynter, Mika Vyranen, Paul Connolly, Jason Crowe, George McCartney, Darren O'Dea, Jake Livermore, Hogan Epheram, Neil Collins, Paul Dickov, Darryl Flahavan, Frank Fielding, Sam Vokes, Shane Lowry, Tony Capaldi, David Martin, Gary McSheffery, Jason Brown, Amdy Faye, Tony Warner, David Gonzarlez,Ramon Nunez
These players were either: Rubbish, waste of money, or made little impact.
Please add more if you can think of any.
Also the wages and agents fees etc from these must be a couple of mill easily.

Agree2 Disagree4

Hi, a realistic post, a rogues gallery, if you look up useless in the dictionary, all the above will be there. But I think the biggest waste of money for me have to be Parlane, Brolin, Deane, and Sharpe and that Man City player who was so good, I have forgotten his name, no sorry, just remembered, Barnes, Grayson was just continuing an age old legacy of Leeds wasting money on useless players, do not be too hard on him.

tRip

Agree1 Disagree0

Hang on big grason fan, he did what he had to with no money look at his decent signings, ill give you a tenner and get me a good suit and shoes, you cant do it and niether could grayson, he didnt like loans he had no choice and when given the chance some of his players came good, good luck grayson and like to see him and his teams do well. Bates is the problem not him, he is so tight even on champ manager you have to sell the whole team to chealsea before you can afford to buy anyone

Agree3 Disagree0

Itll be the same for NW if Bates doesn't come up with the funds needed, if you can only buy sh*t thats all u'll get despite what managers at the helm lad!
