Just been reading about the Everton lad that dived to get a penalty being looked at by the FA, wonder if they'll give that ref at ER on Sunday the same treatment

Na, we will probably lose points and get fined for failing to control the ref and linesman and 4th official

Can the incident involving Ayala and ayling not be looked at. ?

Way I understand it FA will not look at assault on Beradi because ref saw it not worthy of action, but as he did not see Ayala's attack on Ayling they can and should review this. Doubt it happening though.

Lassaga is an excellent finisher, probably the best we've had in the club for a long time. However, he needs to be in a good side that can create chances for him without the usual 'get it to the front man, he controls it, brings players in and then find himself a goal scoring position to take full advantage' type of play. That's our, and lots of teams, norm and expectation. Add to that the responsibility of tracking back and you have our good traditional centre forward. If you want that you don't want Lassoga. Whilst I'm not saying Lassoga is another Ronaldo they do have one thing in common neither do much until it's time to score then they show what they're good at. Difference is that Lassoga is at Leeds where creating chances is not a strong point and where we need a commanding front man to relieve some of the pressure. Ronaldo is at Real Madrid where it's the job of his team is to make chances for him. I'm not sure how Ronaldo would fare at Leeds. We've had a few good players at Leeds who could do nothing due to our playing style and quality and have gone on to do well elsewhere.

Agree Hesslian. PML needs to play with a partner who will more likely do the lion's share of work i. e. holding ball up etc.

I didn't write an essay but I said more or less the same thing in reply to an earlier post, he's a top, top goalscorer but the system we play has to be adapted to accommodate him :)

Personally I would start with the same system we had Sat, however Grot would not be either in the team or on bench .

I would argue that Ronaldo does a heck of a lot more than that. He doesn’t just put chances away he makes them as well. That’s why he has been the best in the world more than once.

Really think people are being a bit harsh on Lassoga he's scored some great goals since he joined, not every system suits his style of play but I think he can be a very valuable player for Leeds as the season progresses and different formations are needed. All good sides need to vary their play during a season also injuries and suspensions mean all players will have a part to play. If we can nick a win at Wolves we can really start to belive again MOT.

Well said, he's a player that needs a system that suits him.

I just don't think he offers enough. No tracking back. Next to no tacking. He is slow and has little first touch control. He has scored goals but i think when he plays we get lazy and punt up to him rather than playing the passing appeoach up field!

I agree with aus that when we play with a roofe or ekuban type player we play it to feet, and knock the ball about more, if we did this with lasogga up front we might get some more goals out of him, he's the best striker we have at the end of the day.

Lassoga has no first touch ? Do not agree.

I do not agree on that one Notts, however I do agree that he does not track back enough and my real bug bear with him is how easy he gets bullied off the ball .

Yes, a fella with his build should be bullying centre backs

Watched it mon night instead of sun night. So batty mate. My thoughts are. Chuffed we beat monk and got back to winning ways. Fantastic hard working commitement. And i believe this is the diff between win or lose. When we play an attacking flair formation like that. Saiz alioski and hern have got to get stuck in. And they did. Positives. Ayling. Roofe. Herna. Janson. Alioski. Brill interlinking second goal. Excelent performance. Better without lass. I agree. Send him back. Too lazy and no control. At least woods worked hard. Negatives. Alioski falling over. Inability to pass to our own player beyond 15 metres. Ayala should have been sent off. He walloped janson in first half. If we work hard we have the skill and speed to worry anybody. Happy batty. Want more like that.
