Had a bet with a mate of mine about 7/8 years ago that Lucas Radebe would be Leeds mgr one day. Anyone think this would be a good idea?

I'm going to get so shot down for this. Make the man happy. bring back the prodigal son. He would be no worse than what we have atm. I am talking about none other than Beckford. I watched his goal against Notts Co. and yes I know News now has beat it up a bit, but I have always loved Beckford (not in a sexual way of course) but he would be a great target man playing alongside Sharp. Don't go too hard on me guy's but you all love him as much as I do you just won't admit it. MOT

Lets see. I'll remind you if you want. Beckford has scored 10 in 24 matches, Sharp has scored 5 in 26, and as I said in my post. no worse that what we have this year. If you are going to mention our Italian hero, at least Beckford wouldn't pick up his ball and go home. This is a banter page ausman. don't be so serious. Of course we aren't going to see Beckford back, he's not Italian. Never the less, I would rather him than Morison.

in league below, beckford was good for league one but flatered to decive and was never any good at higher level. if he is good why did he fail at so many clubs? he never got a game at hudderfield and they ain't world beaters. becks is best left where he is in league one

sounds a good shout but you never know good players who are leeds through and thorugh don't always make you a good coach, look at grey,and bremner for example were they both a bit dissapointing, not sure as before my time as i'm a young pup

I presume you mean Eddie Gray BW? Is this the same Eddie Gray that took over as player coach after we were relegated from the old first division? The same Eddie Gray who brought young 'ins like Sheridan, Sellars and Irwin through the ranks as he had little money to spend?
I think Eddie did reasonably well under the circumstances of his stewardship and only just missed out on promotion in his second or third season as manager I believe.

Bremner did well bw. Took us to first fa cup semi in over a decade. Would've gone to final but for Ormsby. He also took us to within 8 minutes of what is now premier League.

fiar enough. i'm only 31 and didn't support leeds until I was 6 (l989) so anything before then is all just hear say and what I have read, so will respect what people say as not to sure. I heard from step dad they were both useless and never should of ruined the good they did as players, but then my step dad is an idoit apart form making me a leeds fan. Still stand by Grayson as 3rd best. not sure who took us down (thought it was bremner) but only wilko, revie and grayson have ever took us up. hopefully our 3rd best manager will be whoever takes over from redders it will mean we will be back in prem. Still stand by larry did a great job with bates as chairman
