Does anyone know much about this new signing?

22 Jan 2016 21:27:58
He's got 2 legs, can run in the direction his head points and can talk in some form of language. Therefore he's already more talented than half of our recent signings!

I agree totally ben.

22 Jan 2016 17:46:43
Actually I agree we should keep our business quiet. I hope all this talk is a smokescreen. Discussing Lafferty but signing Messi! Yes I know he is not a CentreBack but you take what you can.

Nice one leo 😜.

Has anyone else noticed? We the all knowing ones debate the merits of every potential LUFC target only for a name no one ever mentioned (or even heard of) to be confirmed as the new addition. What's that all about? Mr Evans please give us a clue beforehand so we at least can guide your decisions and add our two penneth.

No I like it this way! Proper way to do business i'm humble o.

I think if Evan's did say players names then we might ruin the chance of signing that player. So I agree with Speedy we should do it this way IMO.

22 Jan 2016 16:47:48
WEhat would be nice is that we are all talking about Lafferty and Watt and we go and sign Yaya Sonogo.

We could do with a Yaya at our club.

Confirms my view that vast majority of rumours are more based on guesswork rather than insight.

22 Jan 2016 14:46:30
Why are we signing another DMF? I know nothing about the lad and I'm sure he is half decent if big Steve has been involved, but we are lacking goals and already have 3 DMFs in the squad.

I hate to see all the fans already jumping on backs of potential signing. just because he is in league one everyone just thinks he is rubbish. couldn't be more wrong, from what I've seen he is a class player. look at the players over the last few years who have come from lower leagues and made it to the top.
Also I went on the west ham fan page to see what the thoughts were of bryam, and all there fans were over the moon and delighted to have him at there club. He is a player who is not proven in the premier league but they know his potential is there so they will support him. where as we see a lower league player as a failure! think its a disgrace really. nobody knows them or even watched them, only way to judge is after 5-10 games. i'm 100% behind evans and think he is building a solid squad which doesn't happen in one transfer window!

Agree Phillg 111, well said mate.

22 Jan 2016 13:18:47
I agree Phill. Let's be honest nobody was over enamored with the signing of Birdcage and look how he's turned out.

I put my trust in big bones Stevie but I won't be getting the new lad's name Diagouraga on the back of my shell suit, I'm too tight. I'll stick to MM

MM.

Agree Phil. Give the lad a chance. Getting good reports by some people in the know.

22 Jan 2016 14:06:41
I kind of get this signing. Bridcutt needs support in that midfield therefore with two providing cover to the back four means that the other midfield players i. e. Cook, Dallas, Carayol can play 10 yards further up the pitch and support the lone striker more. Think this signing probably spells the end for Adayimi.

Agree8 Disagree0

22 Jan 2016 16:16:00
I agree with you Phillg about not getting on players back's before they have played. I always give players chances. But do we really need another midfielder? IMO we don't and I would rather sign proven championship players but I was'nt exactly excited when we brought in Bridcutt and Carayol either so hopefully they can prove me wrong as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2016 16:18:16
Also Notts it hopefully doesn't spell the end for Adyemi because I think he is decent player for us especially from set pieces, IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2016 17:24:16
Stan, think Adyemi will stay until the end of the season but I can't see Cellino shelling at £1m for a player whose form has been indifferent. I think he has the attributes to be a very good player but needs to be a bit more aggressive. He is still young with time to develop.

22 Jan 2016 10:58:47
Why are we signing another midfielder. Surely CB and striker are our weakest areas. Puzzled.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

22 Jan 2016 11:42:56
Can't agree more.
Sloth, bianchi, mowett, Cook, bridcutt, adayemi, Murphy,
all vying for 2 centre midfield spots, why another?
We need a new keeper, centre back and a striker surely a priority.

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Jan 2016 12:13:11
Don't agree. The defence is under too much pressure and the forward (s) doesn't get any quality ball . Result Conceding at the back when pressurised for too long and we don't score enough because we don't create enough chances. Answer strengthen mid field and generate more creativity and more chances. That's step one. Beradi comes back. Coyle and Wooton back ups. Step two. Decent Goal scorer. Step three: A commanding centre back who is at least as comfortable on the ball as Belusci and is quick and nimble when the ball is on the deck. Another Bamba/ Cooper type is the last thing we want. A better (ie more reliable) Belusci to complement Cooper would be good. Replace Cooper, who is neither quick nor nimble, at some stage in the future would be a further development. Another goal keeper anytime soon to compete for the shirt with Silvestre who will be a very good keeper in time.

Agree2 Disagree2

22 Jan 2016 12:14:21
Those mid fielders are not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Jan 2016 12:40:55
Most of those midfielders are not that good, this guy from Brentford will add steel which we don't have apart from Bridcut.

Only midfielders who I rate are Cook (but needs help) Bridcut, Dallas, Muzy and Mowett (but he needs help as well as he is just not mobile/ quick and can't tackle) , maybe Phillips but again another youngster.

Our midfield needs some steel/ mobility and the likes of Murph/ Ade/ Sloth/ Bianch are not up to it so SE right to add in this area, why the hell would you not?

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2016 12:45:23
TBH Hess I don't think any of the current team will be playing for us when we get promoted as 1) none of them are good enough and 2) they will have retired by then. :-)

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Jan 2016 12:53:25
We need to stop hoarding midfielders and offload though ones not good enough then.

Just to prove that anyone can edit Wikipedia. Check out rumoured target Kyle Lafferty. Not only has his goalscoring record improved to levels never heard of before, the Spanish Galacticos are an admirer of him. This probably means we will sign him tomorrow! Lol.

Ok this may be unrealistic but,
Sell/ release sloth, bianci, mowatt, wood. Sell cook to Bournemouth with Tomlin coming to us.
Should raise 10 mil plus Byram money
Get Murry, Rhodes up top
Decent proven keeper (any ideas? )
Vidic. (Unrealistic)
New keeper
Beards. Vidic. Cooper. Taylor
Dallas. Birdcage. Tomlin. Carayol.
Rhodes. Murray

Sylvestri
Wooten and belluci. Coyle. Bamba
Adeyemi. Murphy. Phillips.
Antenucci. Irwin. + other?

If we need 5 in middle play Murray as loan striker.

What do you think. Looks decent to me?

What about Robinson in goal, he is training with Forest and is looking for a club, I really feel he could do a job for us until the end of the season, when we can scout and look at other goalkeepers ready for the summer. I have seen some non league games and Enfield have a very good young keeper who is a England C international.

I have my phone poised ready to keep checking today in hope that these so called signings do actually happen for once. This Tomlin fella from Bournmouth sounds promising, but this is Leeds I'm talking about, so we'll probably end up with the poundland equivalent.

Out of interest, can anyone tell me what year it was when we last best Liverpool? I think it was the day Mr Viduka destroyed their defence but can't quite remember. There's an annoying Liverpool fan st work who needs reminding.

The answer you are looking for is April 01. Same season as the epic 4 3 win at our place in November 2000. We went to Anfield and won 2 1 I believe.

I got into lots of trouble for going to the game at ER. I should've been somewhere else!

Don't make it worse than it already is!

In other news, looks like we are signing Diagouraga. Quality addition. I see our bench strengthening. Cook may sit there awhile.
