Bentley to sign ahead of Newcastle clash.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed is This true? {Ed003's Note - I don't know mate,I'm just covering for 013,did you know he converted me to Yorkshire tea?}

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the way forward ed! Ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope so. Need some creativity.

Just wondering though, why hasn't Diouf been given the chance?

Behind the front 2, we could then move Ross M upfront with Varney.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drop varney and put either poleon or smith up front with ross with diouf in behind

Agree0 Disagree0

At the moment Poleon is not the answer and Smith requires a change in formation as he is only effective when balls are crossed in from the wings. I agree about pushing Ross forward and playing Diouf or obtaining an attacking midfield player on loan (if we are struggling to get wingers and strikers).

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the way it is assumed that Hunt will be dropped.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hunt got dropped saturday and didn't get on at all poleon may not be the finished article but he has the pace that we desperately need

Agree0 Disagree0

Aidy White has the pace we need but he hasn't got anything else! pace is good but there needs to be an end product.

Only 4 teams have conced less goals than Lufc this season in the championship, but only 2 teams have scored less. Seriously I know it's no fault of anyone still at the club but if we still had gradel, snodgrass and becchio we would be well up there, I hope these rumours of Bentley are true and we can get him in shape he would offer so much and would definitely get is plenty of assists!

our club is too big for most of our team, look at the players in the past who freeze in the home games.fact

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This can't be a fact. It needs to be typed in capital letters in order to be a fact. FACT.

Agree0 Disagree0

You no what luke been thinking the same thing last few weeks I don't think our players really no our expectations to be honest a massive club but keep your chin up got thrashed today made my weekend whooo! lol

Quite satisfying seeing Man U getting a drubbing :o)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeh, our own plight aside, but I love seeing Everton higher than them in the league too, hope it's the same end of season!

Agree0 Disagree0

It was brilliant my father-in-law I a fan I don't think Iv ever being so happy looking at a males facial expressions ha

Agree0 Disagree0

I personaly wouldn't watch their lot if you paid me.

What's happened on the investment front? Also the buying back of elland road. Directors have gone very quiet just lateley!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it was that Saudi Prince who has bought into Sheffield United. He said he'd gone as close as due Dilligence with Leeds, but the financial picture wasn't right. I think that's where our previously mentioned investment went.

Agree0 Disagree0

The biased ref who choose to ignore 2 penalty appeals, and not give yellow cards to Burnley player's, had a lot to do with this result! Their manager ran as fast as he could to shake his hand after the whistle. I can't be the only one who saw it.

Playing at Leeds Utd is so much more prestigious than other championship clubs as we all well know, the history, the club, the ground, the fans etc. I have a question for you guys. How many of the Leeds players actually want to go up? I mean how many are good enough to play in the Premier Lge? So if Leeds went up I suspect that the majority would be shipped off to other clubs a lot less glamorous than Leeds Utd. Do you think the players think this? I don't think the youngsters think this. Also with so many foreign players now in the Prem it makes it much harder to be a regular premier player too.
Also if we are on a 2-3 yr plan as is the rumour, c'mon Brian let's blood the young lads now! MOT. PAA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No one wants to play at a club with no prospect of promotion! Leeds fans get deluded - a couple a losses on the bounce puts perspective on things! We simply are not good enough at the minute. Very surprised that when they had us on the back foot BMD resorted to hoof ball! Not good enough we should have mixed it up earlier and slowed it down, held up the ball and made them think and work- they had us by the bo**ox!

The 'People' paper reporting that Reading are prepared to let ALF go out on loan after the arrival of Billy Sharp from Southampton. Could he have made a difference yesterday? I think so. Come on GFH give BMAC the go ahead to get him. MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would give my left plum to see him at Leeds! Sod Hunt! He puts a shift in but goals wins you games!

Correct me If I'm wrong, but Leeds played very well yesterday, we created plenty of chances but were still lacking fire power up front, Marc albrighton would be a fantastic addition to our squad, we were very unlucky yesterday but onwards and upwards

MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I thought Leeds played well, except that despite loads of chances in the goalmouth nobody could score, I also thought they spent too much time building up and not getting forward

Agree0 Disagree0

You're wrong so I'll correct you. We played well for the last 30 minutes. Sadly, a game of football lasts 90 and since we'd already lost it by then the last 30 minutes counted for nothing.

Moreover we were not unlucky. We were inept in front of goal. At the risk of stating the 'bleeding obvious' we need to score more goals than the opposition in order to win games. That's not going to happen without investment.

Onwards maybe, but I'm not so sure there will be much upwards until the manager can clear the squad of Warnock's journeymen. He has a tough job ahead and I just hope Leeds fans will give him some time.

Just to let you all know. I looked at the opening 8 games of this season and last season results wise. This season after 8 games we have 11 points under MCD. Last season under NW we had 13 points after 8 games.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bet we didn't face teams as good has reading and qpr last season though did we in the first 8 games

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Sep 2013 15:07:04
Yeah but look who we played so far qpr, reading, brighton, leicester, burnley are on form so we have still started well most disapointing one for me was shef wed

Agree0 Disagree0

What? We have started well last poster. Are u nuts. If we want to go up u beat the likes of burnley and u give urself a chance to win by having a scorer.shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather have BMcD than Colin, at least we try to play FOOTBALL, its not his fault that we have no investment. That Chelsea Bas***D saw to that!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep the faith in brian and the lads i'm sure we will be oright we have a top manager in charge and he deserves all of are backing in mcdermott we trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

All this whingeing aside, Brian will be the man to take us up, whether its this season or the future it will be him. He is reviving the club, every team in the country fears us now, nobody would relish us in the cup unlike in colins tenure and we match upto any championship club.
Frankly if we had the finisher we all crave we would of won every game so far as qpr robbed us, we where better than them in my opinion. passion and hunger goes along way and we have it flowing through every aspect of our club the future is bright the future is bald - MOT

Hmmm can't afford a striker. Well how many of you would take linguard over Hunt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know right? we get hunt and skint brummys get what looks like a beast!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Sep 2013 11:29:11
So there are no players out there to put the ball in the net. Well whilst the likes of Birmingham are signing the likes of jesse linguard then we have no chance. Don't care if he is from as so is wootten. All I care about is getting back in the premier league. Sick of seeing the likes of norwich & now hull who we were once playing now signing quality players & surpassing us whilst we dwindle in the lower leagues.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Sep 2013 11:01:25
63% of possession says we didn't do enough yesterday 22 shots but only 5 on target says we need a finisher. How come we haven't tried young mowatt behind McCormack and varney? Might give us that creativity we need.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ref's middle name is Tinkler. If you don't get it go back to 70's versus WBA. We are Leeds it will always be the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Sep 2013 09:34:26
Andre Mariner was awful yesterday and it is clear to see why he is not doing PL games. Every aerial challenge by a Burnley player preceeded with an elbow to the back of the head. Every 50-50 challenge involved a Burnley player throwing themselves to the floor. When we broke into their final third they tried to bring us down. The final p*ss take was when we had an attacking free kick and the wall set itself 5 yards from the ball, instead of moving the wall back, Mariner decided to move the ball back 5 yards instead. Totally spineless officiating. {Ed013's Note - I agree mate}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree referee was totally inept and inconsistent but it was in fact, Lee Probert and not Marriner

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree the referee was completely clueless. He missed aidy white's penalty, randomly gave 2 corners to burnley for no good reason, made up fouls and at any chance he gave burnley free kicks.
However the squad does still need improving. Based on the fact that we are still under financial constraints I think 1 more player could come in on loan. I think we need a winger to get in the crosses, make passes and take on defenders. I think we're missing someone who can worry defenders as only poleon and mccormack can do that to a certain extent. Varney and hunt are not goal scorers and are too similar with their strengths and weaknesses so only one of them on the pitch with poleon up front with mccormack in the centre attacking midfield position instead of tonge as he is too negative with his passes and his runs.
Possible wingers
Burke loan to buy January
Lua lua loan to buy January
Albrighton loan to buy end of season
Rowe loan to buy January
Hunt desperate times

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe if GFH want to push for playoffs then a striker like leroy lita on loan, he had a good goal to game ratio for wednesday last season or billy Sharp on loan would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Oopps! My mistake Probert not Mariner. To the third poster I feel that Brian will only bring in a loan player if finances allow and if he can sign the player in the Jan transfer window (again if finances will allow). I get the longer term thinking by Brian but I think the short term impact is being ignored. Bringing in a quality player for a short time gives a lift to the team and the crowd, this lift could help build a run that could be maintained when the player has left.

Agree0 Disagree0

That clown in the centre yesterday cost us the game granted the inbreds from lancs were better than us in the first half Pearce tackle for their second goal wasnt a foul Whites penalty which wasnt given a disgrace was in southstand and we could clearly see it was a pen converted that 2-1 down and it would have been a different game.Christ knows how he got the UEFA badge on his shirt he must of found it in a lucky bag.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't blame the ref. We were poor in the first 20 minutes and Paddy let in two that he should have had. After that we looked brighter than I've seen us. We had loads of crosses playing with the two wing backs but no one to get on the end of them.
To the man in the South Stand, you can't see whether it was a penalty or not, it was over 100 metres away from you. Having said that I was about 30 metres away and it did look like a pen.
Keep it positive!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 6th poster I was about 10 yards away for both Burnley goals and it was not all Kennys fault Byram should have stop the second shot and someone should have followed up from Kennys save the marking was as poor as schoolboys.

How can Birmingham afford lingard if they've got no money? And we crnt afford like anyone? {Ed013's Note - They may not be paying any wages}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If that's the case Ed then that makes our scouting contacts with other clubs even worse. We have excellent training facilities, and a goo coach and manager in Brian Mc and his team, plus Elland Rd is a great baptism of fire for any young pro hoping to gain experience so he can forge a career in the Prem League. The fact that we can't sell these virtues stands testiment to the inept way the club is being run in terms of player recruitment. {Ed013's Note - Favours in football can help you out sometimes, lets hope Brian is owed a few}

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Sep 2013 11:28:47
If we are trying to develop then let's play some of the young blood and give poleon and the youngsters a decent crack - ten/ twenty minutes is not enough if we want to develop them.

We all knew this season that it was a consolidation season for a proper go next year, keep up the faith and support the team and we might, just maybe, have a tilt at the play-offs this season!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If they carry on with scoring less than a goal a game, there won't be any premier league promotion push next season as we will be in League One.

Even if I didn't know the result I could tell if we lost or not.
Just look at twitter and inactivity of certain players and u know they are embarrassed. If we win they would be tweeting like mad. No balls. shrew leeds
