Ed darko isn't stupid he will use redders until he has bedded himself in with squad and first team and he knows if it ain't broke senario! The only part I see needs adjusting is defence we seem to be caught cold in early part of games that then puts us under un needed pressure just my opinion mot!!

I am a bit scared about our new era. I can't knock our new coach because I know nothing about him but we have been spoiled for the last 4 games.
Redders has put us on a huge high which we have not enjoyed for years. Great innit.
MC experienced the legendary LUFC atmosphere on Saturday so surely can't ignore NR's influence and must insist to Darko that he takes his advice on board.
Fingers crossed. MOT

If milanic doesn't play the same kind of fluent football we have been trying to get for years and finally achieved with redders and/or he doesn't play the young talent of Cook and mowatt etc I will personally see his appointment as poor before he gets a fair crack of the wip
Nothing like a vote of confidence Northern. As far as I'm concerned, he can play Mickey Mouse if we keep playing and winning like last saturday.
He won't have any choice but to play a load of young ins, virtually the whole squad are babes

Did you here Adam Pope's interview tonight on Five Live? Does he actually support our Massimo's reign at the helm. He wasn't convincing. And why are him and Phil Hay now shouting about what a great manager Redders would make (for another club)? I thought those two presented themselves as Leeds fans: disgraceful.
{Ed013's Note - Phil Hay isn't a Leeds fan and Popey is trying to be a neutral. We all think Redders has done a great job, but if he was to take over there would be a massive void in the youth set up. I am sure there is a plan in place to overcome this next time. Redders is a Leeds fan and I feel he has a very good shot if Darko doesn't succeed, plus he is one of very few with a good relationship with Massimo that knows the club inside out}
Popey did not say a word in defence of the don. He was not neutral even but just submissive and by implication therefore in agreement with the likes of Neville and the drinking man's football genius, Klutz 'I'll have a fiver on the green frog' Claridge. Hay presents himself as a fan of the team using the royal Leeds 'we' when referring to us. If these are mates of yours Ed then so be it but this is a Leeds fans site and the way Mr Pope is presenting the public face of Leeds in the national media. Public opinion, albeit poorly informed, can be a powerful tool and, with some potential battles to come for our beloved owner we need to put a strong united message out in the public arena that this man has done and will do a power of good for our club.
{Ed013's Note - Mate, both Popey and Phil are both desperate for Leeds to do well}
I agree Norman, popey & Hay have no opinion or backbone, never have done. It's all basic reporting and nothing more. When asked for opinion they're more like politicians, both temperate men not wanting to upset anyone in case it affects their chances of future jobs. Too many lufc fans up their backsides & can't see we have the worst reporters of any championship side. These are the ones we rely on to put our news to the footballing world but when someone comes at them with an opinion of us they just nod in agreement or say sod all in our defence or put them right in no uncertain terms. They quite happily get flippant with lufc supporters on twitter but when on TV or radio no bottle. If lufc OS worked well we wouldn't even need them or miss them. They rely on twitter feeds from ITK fans or foriegn reporters such as Emanuele to start the ball rolling then jump on bandwagon. Hay is the worst of the two, just a small time newspaper hack watching out for his own career advancement instead of having a real opinion like many top reporters. Useless for lufc but try telling their little posse of arse kissers that.

Welcome to Leeds Donnie Darko are you bringing Frank with you? MOT

Mc and Milanic can only mean one thing.
The Donnie Darko experiment.
MOT upwards and onwards.
22 Sep 2014 17:45:26
Can anyone explain what they know about milanic's play style and etc. i'm trying to find what I can but I thought it'd be easier to ask directly. So what do you guys know about him on a managerial front? Is he good? What's his style?is he proven?
Not entirely sure tbh but I've heard a lot about how he wants to play flashy passing football on twitter and that was the aim at sturm graz, also he is known for giving youth a chance
Funny that as I've heard its the complete opposite. Black and white on NN.
Doesn't like playing youth or fancy football, likes a defensive 442
22 Sep 2014 14:00:35
Why hasn't there been an official announcement on the official LUFC website yet?
OS is always slow at putting stuff up.
MC paid them all off in the summer
22 Sep 2014 13:41:57
Well now that Darko has arrived, I think now more than ever it's a time we need to get behind him and the lads. Of course it will take him time to settle, so we need to be patient. But I'm more than happy with his appointment and Sturm were clearly gutted to see him go.
Redders has done an amazing job, but let's not kid ourselves that every game was going to be like last Saturday (which was truly fantastic).
My hope at the start of the season was to finish in the top ten. I'd still settle for that, but believe we have the potential to aim for playoffs.
So GOOD LUCK DARKO, and WELCOME TO LEEDS!!!
I wish you a long stay here (cos let's face it, it won't be a long stay if you don't do well)

Still counting Andy MOT?
Tom Lees pick of a defence again on Saturday - a defence that's now kept 7 clean sheets from 10 games.
It's obvious to all at SW6 that this lad has got terrific potential, and looked a class act alongside Loovens .
Clearly, someone, somewhere, drained his confidence. We have an idea who, but wouldn't presume on your site!
Shame you cannot recognise that you had a jewel, and chose to GIVE him away!!
Got any more freebies?
Sleaford Owl
I am pleased he's playing well for you, he is a nice lad. We all know who knocked the confidence from him so I wish him well. A fresh start is clearly what he needed and it has paid off.
Thankyou for your post.
Tom Lees is a good player, but he was a liability for LUFC.
Yes his confidence was drained away by certain owners/coaches, but drained away it was - a better player would have knuckled down & got on with it!!He'd be still at ER if he just got on with it!!
Yeah Noel Hunt!

Glad you're happy for now Sleaford and never anything personal against young Tom. Majority of folks opinions was not good enough for us, we wish him well as we generally don't like to dis lads who came up through our academy but would we want him back at Leeds? No
See how well he does in two weekwhen we batter ya wendy
Sleaford
BIG shame you never replied to my last comment on the Lees subject??
Sky-sports-centre min by min run down on the game and after 99 mins Lees got mentioned 0 times (BRILLIANT)
Typical windy fan bleat when your winning lol
Sorry Andy MOT, but got a bit bored with your comments!
When statistics dictate that key defenders or the keeper have not had much possession in a game, surely that tells you something about the team's overall performance.
The facts are that alongside Loovens, and 2 good fullbacks, and a midfield that has offered terrific defensive support when needed, Tom's reading of the game has been such that we have not yet been under the cosh . None of the defence have been heavily involved enough to rack up lots of " defensive stats " - and long may it last. However,
boy, they have looked cool, composed and rock solid - and Tom has played his part to the full.
Sorry you wanted to keep this banter going, but I suggest for now you see how the season pans out for both clubs, and focus and worry about losing a good care caretaker manager in Redders instead of looking at ridiculous stats - bit like the drunk using the lamp post ( for support rather than enlightenment! )
Sleaford Owl
Sleaford bored??
When you state he was EXCELLENT and ssn centre mentioned him ZERO times in a min by min report its hard to believe ANYTHING you say isn't it!!
If you took time to read the report (which you obviously didnt) his partner made 3 times more blocks and tackles than Lees in the same game ummmm
Sleaford your spending quite a bit of time on the leeds banter page I've got a SPARE shirt if you want it?
SECRET LEEDS SUPPORTER lol
Oh Andy MOT,
Let me try to explain why the SS stats are unreliable, and YES, why I choose not to read them.
Goalkeeper 1 makes a smart save from a pile-driver, holding on to the ball.
Goalkeeper 2 can't catch it and drops it at the feet of a forward. Likewise, he drops the follow up shot, fortunate enough to see the next shot rebound off his legs and go out for a corner!
Your statistical analysis shows keeper 1 only making 1 save . Keeper 2, however, racks up 3 saves.
Who is the best keeper?
Similarly, a good centre-back who reads the game well, has good positional sense, and passes out of defence clinically will rack up less clearance points than a donkey who keeps hoofing it up field only to get it back, and repeat this again.
Get it? A well oiled machine runs effortlessly - a craftsman makes it look easy. Statistical analysis does not take account of the finer points of our wonderful game.
That's why I choose to watch the team each week, and assess the players myself - not resorting to armchair football and stats that are pointless. That's also why I wouldn't presume to pass comment on your players unless I had seen the game myself.
Sleaford owl
Sleaford oh Sleaford back on the mighty whites site, what size shirt do you want??
LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS

Was at the game Saturday with family in East Stand. After the final whistle Massimo walked across the pitch from the west stand to the East stand, he was mobbed by selfie taking fans.
It was a bit strange after the game, everyone seemed to be in a trance like state. We had witnessed a set of players playing for us with so much potential.
I was there too Morley, wished I'd whipped my phone out as he passed me. Was very surreal
Did ya give mc a quick kiss morley?
22 Sep 2014 11:44:13
Think mc should appoint redders darkos assistant and he can still look after acadamy would be ideal especially since redders has so much respect from the first team mot
I think redfearn should stay at the academy, naming him assistant would undermine milanic, who needs to assert himself now
22 Sep 2014 11:34:00
As we may be about to take a walk on the darko side how about a rendition of darth vaders theme tune for the mans entrance onto the set.
Da da da dadada da dada 😀
Or: Always look on the Darko side of life, da da, da da da da da da . etc
22 Sep 2014 09:11:55
I cannot understand why people give Sam Byram a hard time. What has he done wrong? There was a rumour he might be transferred. Is that his fault?
He is a young man with massive potential and did a fantastic job for us when he came on after Berardi's sending off. I have met him once and he was very understated and modest lad.
We need to nurture and encourage young talent at Leeds, not drive them away with over the top criticism.
Agree Norm, he's one of my fave players and as I have posted before, I'm really glad he is still here - because i'm sure he would have had offers to go over the summer. But as someone else said, will probably be good for him to have more competition for places
Well said Norm, no one should be critical of any of our squad, we are a team evolving and improving, the lads need all our support to continue that
22 Sep 2014 00:22:24
Also meant to say that it's very interesting that while we thought he was doing nowt, MC was quietly interviewing Steve Clarke, Simon Grayson and others, but found them unsuitable for various reasons.
Good for him!!

Can't wait to see Darko's team selection once he has settled in. I'm guessing it will be a little bit more Italian/Brazilian, and I think we might have a change of captain, whose name will begin with a B (but don't get me wrong, very happy with JP's improvement in last few games)
If he has ANY common sense he would pick a simular team to Redders.
They ALL deserve a start after sat performance, he can then take stock and gently adapt his techniques and selections as and when required IMO
Agree Andy. I'm meaning further down the line, after he has had time to assess all players etc - say after half a dozen games (hopefully when we are in top 6)
If Darko has any sense he will leave Redders to take training this week and let him pick the next team by keeping a watching brief, he can see what has been happening and then ease his way in to the role without upsetting the apple cart too much. Heres hoping he isn't one of the my way or highway types eg Magath
Wilsosd . Good point, and all I'm reading about him suggests he's intelligent and not a prima donna, so I'm sure he will do just that
