I don't post often but I have to reply to all the people saying cash in in gradel Are you mad. He is total class and he would stay if offered a contract. People are getting caught up in media rubbish. West ham had to put two players on him on sat. Snodgrass is the player who hasn't looked interested so far this season.

I agree Max was the best player last season, but if he is going to stall on transfer talks he's got to go. Nunez is not the answer, but give him a season and he will come on leaps and bounds. Sam isn't the finished article either, but again he will come good. Sell Gradel if he isn't happy and get Watt back on loan. We can then use the Gradel money to strenghen other areas.

Gradel was the difference at West Ham and Doncaster when he came on... He puts the whole defence on the back foot and makes them defend 10 yrds further back thus allowing our midfield to control the game............. sell snodders if we need cash max must stay he will be missed

I agree snodgrass not look interested, gradel puts fear in defenders, nunez will do with more experience, scores at lot as he gos for goal everytime he sees it, did well again with 6 changes

We don't need cash, it's just that Uncle Ken doesn't make any that he has got available. We need to keep our best players, not sell them. Snoddy, Gradel, Nunez, Clayton, Howson, Lees and a few others need to be offered longer term, improved contracts. If we keep these players, we will definitely get promoted over the next few years. Our starting XI is as good and exciting as anybody's in this league. We're just a bit short of cover if any of our best players get suspended or injured.

max should at least wait till january at least to see if were in the promotion let nunez sit behind keogh and mac(ross) while becchio's out max and snoddy on the wings not many teams will keep us from scoring specially after the west ham game they were sensation to watch at times good time ahead me thinks MOT

Why are we talking about cashing in our assets,why are we not talking about wat quality we have in gradel and what quality we have to come off the bench in Nunez to back us up,loose gradel Nunez injured then what loyd Sam (not the best in my opinion)we don't want to be selling we need to be building around our quality.

I see what you are saying but I think when people are saying to cash in on Gradel, they mean to then spend the money on another winger maybe? And a couple of other players?

Err - a league cup appearance would hardly discredit that theory

It was a league cup appearance against LEAGUE 2 team hereford. Only doubt about the deal is that he is now cup tied.

TBH, he isn't in the first team picture at Villa - he hasn't started any league games or been on the bench yet

Sorry just don't agree about gradel.yes prem clubs may want him,I'm sure he like to play there but for some of you to say good riddance is wrong.with him we would be better if we still add a couple more.bit of individual brilliance can win a game.selling him we would get maybe 3million then who would we buy.pen aside he did well on Sunday.ok 6 to7 mill that's different but I say keep him,add a couple more players,play like we did Sunday,bin odea and watch us climb up the table

We refused 3.5 from lie-cester Nunez is better and we've let better players go for nowt If we can get 5 top we want players that want to play for us, nunez gave up a call from his country to battle for a first team place with us Papa smurf is under the cosh to let some money go to sg and will have to let 2 go if we get 5 and sg could do wonders even on loan wages. Don't know if anybody else heard Hawksbee & Jacobs, this afternoon but they where on about arsenal players being left behind for their trip to Italy and Henri lansbury name was mentioned and that he was signing for us next week.

Whether Max goes or stays, it is high time we stopped letting our best payers getting into the last year of their contracts before we start negotiating. It puts the player in the driving seat and means we inevitably let them go for nothing or next to nothing.

All those saying to get £5-£6m for Gradell are right it would be good money, however with less than a year left on his contract will we get that much? Unlikely. Also would KB invest it? Unlikely.

Nunez and Sam are good replacements, but for all those saying Max wont be missed, give your head a shake, Nunez and Sam are nowhere near the players that Gradel is.

Offer Max a decent contract and lets get him attacking Premiership defences with us.

Yep , can't fault a word you say, would say though if sven's lie-cester were to offer 4, think grayson could do wonders, was i the only one that thought clayton was a waste of money last year went he went out on loan, have to admit sg has vision , nunez class too, hope it's not sg's wisdom that's keeping kens wallet in limbo MOT

Ed.. Do you know when Becchio comes back from injury? {Ed001's Note - I don't, sorry, your best bet is probably local papers, the club itself are not good at keeping the fans informed unfortunately.}

I was in the conference suite before the Hull game and they interviewed Jonny Howson. He said that Becchio was doing some light running with the physios and some other work.. I would say that he was 4/5 weeks off at least.

Late september I heard but of course he'd need to get games under his belt so could take longer than that

Becchio was doing light training throughout Pre season after he had his operation...it was a bad one so they will take it slow with him

Won't be long before he's back.
