In NW press conference he says that we "don't give KB enough credit he is a very good chairman", he also said that KB "clearly backs the managers he has seen the wage budget"

With that coming from NW people need to stop criticising KB we all know NW is a straight talker, he cuts no bull. It's obvious that KB backed SG given what NW has said.

My opinion of Bates has completely changed in the last week. Used to be irritated by the thought of the man, killing our club. Seems he had a plan all along. Mot

Believable6 Unbelievable2

He has no plan except to make money . hes seen the crowd at the stadium was getting smaller and brought in NW on a 18 month contract in the hope that we will get fully packed out. the only thing we can do is hope bates gives money to NW in the summer top prove he means business ,i wont believe it until i see it

Agree2 Disagree6

Youre stating the frighteningly obvious here matey. Any club playing as poorly as we have lately will see the attendances fall, Warnock himself wont boost the crowds but if he can get the team playing good cohesive footy again they will all be back for their slice of the glory believe me.
In the 90s glory years the stadium was chocka for every game. In the slumps of the naughties and the 80s the crowds were sparse. All the part timers will come back if we get a run together.

Agree4 Disagree1

Slumps of the noughties? 2001 wasn't really a slump of a year was it?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Here here Ed. It is about time the Boo Boys got their voices behind the team and spend their energy supporting Leeds not knocking some old giffer up in the executive boxes. Who cares about Bates? If it wasnt him it would only be some other git trying to run a successful company, successfully.

Far be it for me or anyone other than the boss to make decisions but my shout is Snoddy for captain. New role new responsibility new position in the whole where he can see exactly what is happening and control. Snoddy os not shy at being heard and I think is an excellent leader and can lead by example.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Snod should just be left to have his free role with out having the responsibility of being captain.

Agree4 Disagree0

Snoddy should indeed have the free reign and little responsibility. He is our man most likely to cause havoc with other teams, let him fly!!

here we go again maybe if we wont go up this season warnock will go he has said that on yorkshire radio? what do you think leeds fans im angry it only 18 month contract not 3 yeas

Believable0 Unbelievable6

The man is 63, if he has any worries about his own health he should be forgiven for wanting a short contract.

Agree5 Disagree0

Don't think it's worry about health it's just he wants to have a life after football and wants to bow put on top. At least he's bloody honest what a refreshing change

Agree3 Disagree2

Fergie has been retiring at Man U for the last 5 years and is still going strong! Let Warnock take us to the PL and see if he still has the appetite but don't slag him off before he has even started.

23 Feb 2012 21:25:31
I must say I am really excited about the buzz we seem to have around the club at the moment now Warnock has been appointed. It seems like their is some optimism back and that we have a manager we all know can get the best out of our current squad and also sign players who will make a difference rather than simply add to the numbers which regrettably was one of Graysons weak points.

We all need to keep in mind it may take a few games for Warnock to get it right an the team to understand what they are doing under him but I can see next season (supposing we don't go up this season which in fairness is a big ask although not impossible) having the potential to be fantastic for us, particularly if he gets a few quid to spend in the summer. Nice to see a few players like Bruce getting a chance again and also A straight talking manager - Townsend leaving being a prime example - be proud to play for the club or leave and we'll get someone in who will fight for us.

MOT with a huge amount of optimism!

Has anyone else seen the video of Grayson doing a huddersfield interview when he says something along the lines of:

Some of the people inside Leeds have said some nasty and false things about me, some are just complete lies. But yeah, it's nice to be at a club in this position where everyone here is striving for promotion.

KB, owned.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Wrong, KB went on record to thank SG clearly doesnt like the fact that he got sacked after a bad run of form.

Agree9 Disagree4

Bates has been having a go at him in last couple of match programmes and peter the puppet has used his propoganda column in YEP to slag Grayson off

To be Honest i really think the tables have turned on the 'hate bates' crew. The guy has got us Warock for crying out loud. The feeling around LUFC is already more positiveand who do we have to thank for that? Pappa Smurf. If ure anti Bates still, change the record Ure not thinking and ure damaging our cub. And if saw Lorimers bar Highlights ure also against one of our club legends. MOT, true white.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Yes more hopefully, but alarmed by what nw is saying in his 1st prematch press conference on ss,plus we have lost another player,while no other players have come in, nw said hoped to get 2/3 players in,1 b4 weekend yet no sign,we have to watch bates cos he's a crafty old sod, attendences will be up bates rubbing his hands, {Ed020's Note - have faith!!}

Agree4 Disagree6

On players in out, NW said some out some in, its the only way im affriad because we have gone over budget if i remember rightly, am i right on that fact ed? was it like 12 mill trf fees and wages combined and we went over it? {Ed013's Note - It was said that players need to move on, but everyone also has a clean slate so it may take a few weeks before NW knows who he needs to move on. I could tell him in 5 minutes but that's another story! It wouldn't surprise me if NW an KB have an agreement that there will be loan signings regardless of outgoings}

Agree5 Disagree0

Ok about players in/out, but still anti bates, just cos he got in nw, that in some eyes makes bates the best owner ever, we still have ticket prices that are way to high, we still have a owner/chairman that hates us, we still have an owner/chairman that has not invested anything into our club, god he does 1 thing right and now he's the second coming, you watch bates too crafty for some of you,

Agree1 Disagree5

Dont get me wrong i aint pro-Bates im fairly neutral on that (hes done good things for our club, and hasnt done other things), but i think fans should concentrate on whats important, the club and the players. Rather than always going on a vendetta against one man and spoiling the equilibrium at the club. He doesnt invest but he saved the club, its positives and negatives in my eyes.

Agree6 Disagree1

Thats how he keeps a strangle hold of our club by letting us have scraps of what a good chairman should be like, he's more worried by falling attendences plus less cash going into his pocket, remember, if you want good players and team you will have to pay for it, remember the delph money going on thorpe arch,i could go on and on, why so many are anti bates is cos we need him out of our club so we can finally get our club back, but putting more money into his pockets will only fuel him more,he will lie to us till the day he goes,he's not interested in us/the club and never will be,so yes will be anti bates always, but lufc for life.

Agree1 Disagree4

Just goona put this out there; What Bates has done is make sure we dont 'live beyond our means' ie spend more than we take in, and we know better than most wot that can do to a club. Now, all im saying is; Leicester (where are they in the league) Pompey (Gonna go into administration). I for one dont want to go thru that era at Leeds ever again.

Agree5 Disagree1

Agree, but still say why we pay such high prices to watch loanee's and journeymen,but still we need to keep bates on his toes with protests cos if we don't he will walk all over us {Ed013's Note - I disagree and tonight LUST have confirmed that the 7 minutes of protest outside the ground before the Southampton game is now cancelled so please spread the word. Full support please for Neil Warnocks first home game. Leave the protests and give the new manager a chance to change where we are. I do agree we pay too much though}

Agree5 Disagree1

What about warnocks get out clause,we could be looking for a new manager by summer,plus lust have only said that protest will stop for s'hamton game but still will be looking at how bates and board run this gr8 club, {Ed013's Note - For now, get behind the team.Time will tell}

Agree4 Disagree1

I for one i very proud of the fact that Leeds has been investing in infrastructure and the long term financial stability of the club first and foremost. Football is well overdue for a financial shakeup and Leeds will come out strong

got a feeling sam could play a role not seen a lot this season of him but i thought when he came on against posh he changed it where they looked scared because he ran at there defence thats why we won 3.2 in my opinion hes a nother player thats got a clean slate but it wont be long now brothers only neal knows his side and he knows better than we do so lets just get behind the lads and manager. ive said before it might not happen straight away but we have got the best man now

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Sam's a better player than townsend!

Agree5 Disagree2

I was impressed with Sam at the beginning of last season, looked useful but doesn't seem to have had a run which I think he needs. Hope he can step up and make his mark

Lonergan

Lees
Bruce
O'Dea
White

Brown

Clayton
Pugh

Snodgrass

McCormack

Agree4 Disagree3

Good shout on the 1st suggestion. NW said snoddy to get free role, bit like he did with Tarabt at QPR. Brown would balance that aswell. Come on Leeds MOT!

Agree2 Disagree1

Is smith injured? If he is then Lees RB bruce CB.

I doubt he'll play Clayton as a wide man :L

I'd expect

4-2-3-1

Lonergan
Smith (as above)
Lees
O'Brien
Pugh

Brown
Varynen

Clayton
Snodgrass
McCormack

Becchio

Agree2 Disagree1

Is clayton not out wide in that team and formation though mate?

Agree1 Disagree0

No he's more of a cAM

Agree1 Disagree0

When you play this formation you have 2 of the 3 behind the striker out wide so there is some width

i never wanted warnock but now i have had time to take it in and seen wot other managers was out there im pleased as punch we got him and confident we could still make play off,s and wot he said about townsend was spot on and that goes for any other player out there

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Agree he is the right man no doubt, but top 6?, well maybe provided we can get a couple in soon, i rekon need a solid MF and solid CB. I mean Pugh in MF?

So Mr Rodgers herese your chance to shine. From little saw of him on Saturday he's certainly willing, and I think Eddy Lewis no.2 is on the cards. As for Mr Townsend when he scored the goal I thought he was well up for helping the cause, dashing back to the centre to get kicked off.... Really disappointed but like the boss says, we don't want anyone at Leeds who doesn't want to be...........play for the shirt.....wonder how many games he'll get at Spurs?

23 Feb 2012 13:46:25
if townsend doesn't want to graft to get a regular place in the leeds team then let him go back to spurs (or birmingham). i am sure warnock will have someone in mind to replace him

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Dont really need to bring anyone in ,we have players at the club that can already fill the left wing and play better than he did

Agree3 Disagree2

Ta ta andros, see u at good luck in league 2 in a few years. Not happy at a huge club like leeds? Gets dropped and goes in a strop lol.

Agree4 Disagree0

I must be in a minority because I saw every game he played and thought he was a decent winger. At last someone who beat players, got to the byline and actually put a good cross in. I am sure that in the near future he will be in a top team. Just a shame it won't be us. Saying all that, though we want someone who wants to play for us and not disappear at the first chance.

Agree1 Disagree2

Rogers will get an chance

Agree4 Disagree0

To the post above your are certainly in the minority because all I saw was a greedy winger who couldn't pass and did very little with the ball and even less when he didn't have it. Glad he's gone total rubbish. Not sure Bale will lose sleep over him returning to spurs

Agree2 Disagree2

How refreshing to have a manager who tells it straight, Townsend has opted to leave Leeds as he's not happy and hasn't settled.... Neil Warnock says 'good ridance if he doesn't want to be here' ...priceless!

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Grayson would have had some false story, another reason why i like Warnock

Agree6 Disagree2

Grayson would have said, we still have a lot of quality players at this club!

23 Feb 2012 12:31:16
So Townsend's gone eh?! I suppose he did come in under a different manager, but to not give it a go and step up when the new one comes in shows a real lack of ambition.

And saying you haven't settled when you're on loan is nonsense. It's nearly March already... you're talking about a couple of months.

if I were another club, I'd be seriously wondering whether bringing a bottler in is the way to go. See you later Andros... {Ed013's Note - I heard he has always had a bad attitude. good riddance}

Believable9 Unbelievable0

He was to "big" for Leeds .....least that what he seemed to think anyone else remember the way he "pouted" in his first outing when he was allowed to take a free kick?

In front of North stand Nunez took it on and was a bloody good effort forced a save, in fairness he did applaud it afterwards but before ?? I thought his mum must have bought the ball! ;-P

Leeds TID

Agree7 Disagree0

Mick Jones said on LUTV on Tuesday if there not prepared to give blood then it’s good bye, well bye Townsend no commitment to the course!

Agree6 Disagree0

Heard from an ex Spurs scout that he is a seriously bad apple - massive character and behaviour issues. Not to mention he also added "he hasnt got it!"
Look forward to seeing him ever end up at a bigger club than LUFC!
Good riddance indeed!

Something that gives you a lot of pride as a fan, is when another player who doesn't play for your club copliments the club that you love, when he doesn't have to. Fair play to Derry saying he had immense pride pulling on the White shirt. Hope all our players will feel like that soon and show us they're not just here to pick up their wage packet. MOT
