Could have been worse with Pontus, he is missing a game that he might not have been starting anyway as he was still with his wife until tonight.

Looks like Ipswich is still going to be a bit of a patchwork side with Pontus out, Douglas still not ready, Ayling having to come straight back in. So Ayling, Cooper, Beradi, Shackleton or Pearce looking like making up the defence. Hernandez back. Clarke on the bench. We should still have the skill with home support to beat them. Priority is finding a way of winning it, ugly or pretty and than hopefully getting back to plan A with team A when needed against Forest on Saturday!

Have to agree tad. I never agreed 100% with the anti Leeds thing with the league, although most times I did, but this is a disgrace. To me this should be a personal fine job not a ban. Let’s not even mention the headbutt. I hope the squad use this as a motivation to show this shower of c**ts that we’ll soon be gone from their league and they can find another goose!

Ain't seen that bright but it really doesn't surprise me from that corrupt bunch of Putin wanabees that claim to be independent and un biased and claim to be equal and fair to every team unless your name starts with leeds and ends in united.

Who are these faceless tw*ts at the FA who have for years taken great pleasure in bashing LUFC at every opportunity. Fair enough Pontus was always potentially in line for a punishment of some kind for his outburst, but for the Brentford player to be let off for his actions in the Dugout shows what a bent and spiteful lot they are at the FA and FL. Come on Leeds let's really p*ss them off and get promoted this season and celebrate our Centenary in the Premier League! MOT.

Joke time,

Young lad walks into a pharmacy and says to the pharmacist I need a pack of 3 condoms. Pharmacist says you going to need 3? Lad replies I've got a meal at my girlfriends tonight and I think her mum and sister both fancy me so I'm going to smash all three of them, they're well fit. pharmacist says lucky you.

That night the young guys sat at the dinner table with his girlfriend and her mum and sister when her dad walks in and joins them. Young lad sinks into his chair and starts to pray for five minutes. His girlfriend says to him I didn't know you was so religious! The young boy replies I didn't know your dad was a Pharmacist.

Big, big game tomorrow night.

3 points are a must, and ideally we need to be winning both home games this week to build some momentum back.

Which we haven't had since the cup defeat.

I didn't see the Blackburn game bur before hand one of the best parts of this season so far. Was not conceding from crosses, a problem we've had for the last decade. I hope this isn't the start of a slide in to that problem again, you will always struggle to win games if you can't defend crosses in this league.

But back to my main point, I look at the last month or so and we've dropped so many points that I worry we'll be 10 points behind the leaders before long. just like last year.

Sheffield Wed - Enough chances to win that game.

Brentford - Enough chances to win that game.

Blackburn - Previously only won one game at home this season.

Birmingham - Hadn't won a game until they came to Elland Road.

It's at least 5/ 6 points which I hate to say it, teams going up would win. I watched Middlesborough on Friday night and they were awful, just like Cardiff last year. But the pattern remains, it's about winning those games and we are not right now.

As we're still only a couple of points off the top it suggests that the other "top" teams are also guilty of throwing points away, I think we're not playing as well as we can but we're also well in touch.

It is a long season and we will have our good runs and poor runs as will every other team challenging for promotion. The important thing is to keep in touch at the top and not get dropped back from the pack. Under difficult circumstances with injuries we have done just that, it is comparable to playing badly and winning.

I agree we need to get back to winning ways and that should start against Ipswich, but being in the mix is important, it doesn't look like anyone is going to run away with this league unless business in January changes things.

Stay on the bus we doing well in a period of change for the players, they will improve under Bielsa I believe.

I agree
If we don’t put Ipswich to the sword then it shows that we are probably playoff hopefuls at best.

If we don't put the likes of Ipswich to the sword should we not consider ourselves a playoff team? Teams destined for the playoffs will beat the likes of Ipswich.

I would say Brentford had more chances than us at elland rd to be honest, Wednesday game apart I don’t think we are creating a huge amount of chances for all our possession, think saiz is totally out of form, always wants too many touches of the ball, maybe pablo back will help take the pressure off him to create, think we need to get Roofe back up front and not play him out wide, we all know he can’t play there.

Saiz's looks to get on the ball all the time, down the middle, the opposition just crowd him out. A few games alternating on the wings, where he can try and get one on ones, on the break, away from home, might do him good . Put Klich at 10 and when Brown is fit, he also plays there. Think our best front 4 with everyone is fit would be Bamford, Browne, Saiz and Hernandez . Lacking a little pace on the wings is the only problem I can see.

Saiz will improve when Hernandez starts games. At the moment, we look mainly to Saiz for our creativity and he gets man marked. When Hernandez plays he takes the pressure off Saiz as he is a great outlet on the wing and has the ability to drift inside, which makes him harder to man mark as he would have to marked by the left back which opens space for Ayling. Our patching form of late can be, in part, not having Hernandez available.

Cud b second if we beat Ipswich . Boro I expect to beat Rotherham Sheffield Utd to drop points with stoke and derby to nick a draw at baggies that's how crazy this league is . ALAW 😄.

I think it's no coincidence this indifferent form has coincided by the team being decimated with injuries/ suspensions. When was last time we been able to play Douglas ayling roofe Hernandez together? Now we missing Harrison who was looking decent . I think we maybe worth replacing Saiz with foreshaw in some games . Saiz can change a game maybe best suited to home games but he seems to carry ball to much at times, I wish he would just play the simple ball but doesn't and gives it away.

23 Oct 2018 08:44:41
I think you are right about having a plan a2 to play without Saiz but we shouldn’t forget what he brings to the team and we need him fresh, energized and confident. He’s not in the team to make simple passes, he is there to create and see and make the plays that others can’t . When it comes off he looks brilliant and when it doesn’t even by mms, he looks bad and last Saturday the goal excepted was one of those days, but he helped create the goal! Having him in the team makes the opposition worry about him, put men on him to mark him, and foul him . Let’s get him back playing alongside A fit Hernandez and see if that brings the fluidity and quality back.

So have we been unlucky with injuries or are we paying the price for not having a big enough / not having enough quality in the squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Oct 2018 14:13:21
I think the former alf, Bub likes a small squad. Having said that I also think we need a bit more quality to come in, there again if the "replacement" players don't get a game who's to know if they're good enough or not? Another thing is that who really forecast we would have so many injuries at the same time?
