if you cannot read your url it says Leeds 'Rumours'. Just speculating as Warnock said he will wait till the prem teams announce their squads and these would be two decent loan signings.

Paul Rachubka has urged Neil Warnock to sell him to Liverpool as a replacement for Pepe Reina who says he no longer wants to play there.Leeds wont buy a replacement as they see Cairns as a hot prospect.

Wolves sold jarvis + fletcher. Great for leeds, but on the other hand if warnock had 22 million i belive he'd respend on better players than the 2 who have left if allowed to, so if this wolves manager who is personally unknown to my self is any good we should be worried

Even if they spend half of that cash they can get some good players in and become a real threat. Yes we've beaten them once but they are going to get stronger and at the moment it looks like were not.

Bates says pub speculation because of NDA non disclosure agreement which is understandable but he can give an indication to progress without breaking confidentiality are any journalists asking him the question like mr bates we are led to believe you are holding contract talks up why is that or is it true..............normally if journalists want to know something their in your face this is a massive story where is the good old paparatsi tactics when you need them. camp out on his door step bother the life out of him til he gets fed up and signs

People are entitled to their opinion and Neils team selection/substituitions last match were not clever.
Agree8
Disagree0
I don't think his squad building has been that clever either. Do we have a better squad than last year? I don't think we do. We may have some better defenders & defensive mids but the backup is thin on the ground and of a much lower standard.
Most worryingly, I can't see our current midfield breaking down the better teams in this league. This time last year we had Snoddy, Howson, Clayton and Gradel (until deadline day) all of whom could split a defence open on a good day.
Still, there's always the loan market. Sounds familiar somehow...

Why do people keep saying that Uncle Ken isn't signing the deal out of spite. How rediculous and stupid can people be. I'm just going to get lawyers etc involved, spend months in talks and then........ah I'm not gonna sign to spite the fans!!
get real people, Bates is a buisiness man as I've said before and it's the money he wants not some childish revenge mission, because of comments 20 yrs ago.

Bates hates leeds fans end of story. he will do anything to wind us up to the point of protesting too much then when it falls through its all us morons fault for putting the potential investors off. we have heard it all before and it doesnt wash. We need to put money into the team to progress and take us to the next level but he seems reluctant to do it - why?
Agree4
Disagree3
Because on here, there are people who although knowing F-ck all about whats going on,just post utter garbage,as far as I can see,KB,NW,and Lust,ALL believe the takeover is going through, obviously LUST has been told to shut the f-ck up hence no news from them,so just get behind the team and wait for the good news whenever it happens.
Agree3

L fully agree with your last comment, one very famous quote sticks in my head that sums up uncle Ken...Business is more exciting than any game “ Lord Beaverbrook. M.O.T
Agree2

In reply to 2nd poster, I know the same as you, F... all. But no one would waste their money to the tune of millions to wind Leeds fans up. And as I remember ,Bates only called a minority of supporters "morons", but it suits Bates haters to sugest he hates us all.
Let me make myself clear, I`m not a Bates lover, but I like to be realistic. Bates wants to make money from the sale and I understand that and hope he makes the right choices for LUFC..
Just wish everyone would unite behind NW and the team, come what may.
Hoping to bosh the posh tomorrow.

And in truth we weren't as good as some people are making out against Wolves either. 10/10 for effort, 4/10 at best for creativity. We're pretty solid but we really need at leads couple of game changers.

I am sick of people goin on about how Warnock has assembled a team that will get promotion,he hasn't,he has built the foundations for a good competitive squad but it still needs them 3 or 4 class players to push us on,there is no way that squad will get us promoted, come mid season with injuries and suspensions we will really struggle and end up mid table lower than last season,we really do need that takeover to happen.

R. Nunez. Z. Thompson M. Brown R. Rogers

Got a friend who works for one of the big papers and he said that they usually get told when a takeover will be complete about 4-5 days before the announcement (with a confidentuallity clause in there that would cost the paper millions if they ran the story early) so that they can get there best reporters to the conference. The new owners will obviously want to get there mission statement for the club out to as much of the press as possible so want to give the press as much notice as they can to get to the conference. This was the warning they got for conferences at Watford and Notts Forest this year. He said there sports desk has heard nothing yet from Leeds beyond the normal everyday stuff like pre match conferences and transfer news.
He did also say that normally they have a source at most clubs who would give them inside info but everyone at Leeds is being very tight lipped about the takeover (given them some of the transfer details but no takeover news) as they know what is at stake and also the new owners will get a massive payoff if anyone breaks the confidentuallity clause as the fee agreed is larger than usual which would explain why nothing has leaked out.

If this drawn out takeover is gonna happen its got to be in the buyers interests to force this deal through b4 deadline day, thus insuring the best possible chance to use any funds to improve squad,no point sitting on money till jan with loads of points dropped and prob mid table treading water, they must know this! I'm praying this is announced totally out of the blue on o/s sight sly sports in next few days,
Last point why when short of quick winger would n.w allow Rodgers to leave if he didn't think he could buy a replacement s next wk.

this is not a rumour or anything to do with the present Leeds team. We were talking last over a beer before the match and were thinking when it was the most fun to watch leeds(not neccessary when we were a top team) I loved it in the 80's following them up and down the country all right were were crap had a few ups and downs but it was good could turn up at Elland Road no need for tickets stand in the kop (thats the North Stand for you young ones) away matches were good could nearly always get a ticket or even pay at the turnstile. Just thought other people might say when they thought there best times were just a bit different then same old posts of when we are going to take over etc mot {Ed013's Note - Fair point mate and makes a change to editing moans and groans! If you're old enough, the Revie teams were the most fun to follow. Okay, it's obvious but that's the answer. Fun like the first game I ever saw in London - slaughtering Chelsea 5-0 at Stamford Bridge. As much fun as you can have with your clothes on.

Late 70s/early 80s for me, first time I was allowed to go Elland Rd on me own at the age of 12/13. First game was against Watford I think, though could be wrong, my memory aint what it was.
Anyway I could afford to get a return on the bus from Crossgates, get into the kop and still have enough left from my pocket money to get some chips at the chippy down by the Corn Exchange.
Not sure many 12/13 year olds get enough pocket money to do that today, I know mine didnt/dont
Anyway those days made me a Leeds fan, always will be. Not sure where the next generation of fans are gonna come from
Anyway

1987 onwards, thats the first season i started going home and away on my own, going to semi at hillsbourough play off finals at birmingham v charlton, and despite being beaten we were leeds and proud of it. then 1989-90 the final day at bournemouth celebrating at the end on the pitch. 1992 winning the league, the early ko at sheffield united going mad on terraces at final whistle racing home to watch the pool beat manu to win the league then go out and celebrate pretty much every night for the rest of the week, then the night of the norwich game asking my girlfriend to marry me!!(she did!) what a few weeks that was!!

People need to stop being so negative about what's happening off the pitch, if we don't get taken over we don't get taken over, Warnock has got a team together that he wanted, money came from somewhere to buy a few of those players, and before anyone says it, NO it wasn't the Snodgrass fund, as they were all signed before he went! So somewhere someone has put money into and NW has made a team, we beat a good Wolves side on Saturday and kept a clean sheet, but just because we lost to Blackpool (Play Off Finalists) everyone is blaming the take over and saying were rubbish etc, think about the good times, we had a good pre-season, we look solid at the back for the first time in years, just need that one more goalscorer and with Warnock we will have a chance, look at the teams he's taken up, they were nothing but he gets a team of players together, not class individuals and his tactic works! Were 2 games in, 44 to go, if someone has said 3 points from opening 2 games we would have snatched their hand off due to the level of opponent we were facing, have some faith remember were Leeds United we never do it the easy way, bring on Peterborough and let's move forward, Leeds Leeds Leeds!! It obviously was from snodgrass. Despite all the rubbish we've been fed about not wanting to sell him and etc no signings have been made since. Clearly we have been played as per usual and the qhole summer spending was based on him going, hence no real replacement. Just because the money was spent in advance doesn't mean the source was any different.

It seems to be common knowledge now that all the legal teams including (bafflingly) Mr Bates personal lawyer are agreed on every single aspect and yet Mr Bates refuses to sign the agreed contract. This raises a number of questions. Why does Mr Bates need his own lawyer, surely his interests are the same as the clubs and why is he refusing to sign? It must be either spite or there's something he's afraid will raise its head when he loses control. Fortunately it seems that the buyers have the patience to wait out Mr Bates, They have seen the books so I suspect they know if they cant buy from Mr Bates they can simply wait and buy from the clubs administrator. All the clues are there that LUFC are once again in deep financial trouble and its a shame this paper doesn't have the inclination to dig into this rather than simply toeing Mr Bates line.
