birmingham 1 leeds united 2 i think the score going to be on wednesday night what do you think?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Draw. 2-2. that would be a good result.

Agree1 Disagree0

Draw would be a good result

Agree5 Disagree0

I'd take a point tomorrow and 3 on Sunday

Agree5 Disagree0

A win would be better, be optimistic for a change??

Agree3 Disagree0

Obviously a win would be a better result, and I am sure we would all prefer one. The point being assessing the two teams/ current form, Birmigham's physical & ariel attributes/ our defence/ the fixture congestion etc, people are simply saying that a draw would not be a bad result all told. It's their assessment, their opinion of what would be an acceptable outcome. It has nothing to do with optimism or pessimism.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hope we will win

Agree0 Disagree0

A win would be a bad result for some people.

The situation at Leicester is a good example that you need to be very careful what you wish for. Foreign Owners with lots of money, a famous name manager lots and lots of signings, equals what? It is not long ago that people on this site where holding Leicester and Sven up because of all the players they were getting compared with us. The decision to sack Sven after appointing him and allowing him to spend so much money and bring in so many players smacks of very bad management by the club. Would SG or anyone else really want to go and work there? How long will you get and what do you do with all of Svens players? I think there could be some good players on the way out of Leicester in the next few months.

I also think all this focus on bates forgets about many of the other chairmen and owners out there at other clubs whose business practices are undoubtly as sharp and even crooked!

We still have a long way to go this year and it is important to keep a balanced view, but if we get promoted this year with our current spproach to spending, wages and building a squad economically, i think both bates and SG will get a lot of credit and deservedly so.

I have supported Leeds all my life and have gone through long periods where we were a club hated or disliked by lots of people. Now we have another loveable rogue this time as Chairman rather than manager or Captain, but he is our lovable rogue and as long as both he and SG deliver then good luck to them. Lets get behind the Leeds family and support it, whether its the current goalie, the captain who we all used to love or even papa smurf. I would still prefer him to lots of the other Chairman out there!

If we get three points off Birmingham tomorrow, we really will be on the move. Good luck to Papa and the boys!

Good to see a real supporter posting on here..

Agree1 Disagree0

Good post. Been known for years that Leicester have bad management. They are too flashy by half but under MO they might just find that balance again. If they get him, I expect them to finish in the play-offs.

I see sven has been sacked, they are a terrible club. I for one am glad we have grayson in charge instead of a garbage foreign manager than spends money like its goin outa fashion and still manages to fail.

Sven been sacked so will Leicester go for Grayson? I reckon their first targets will be the likes of Martin Oneil and Mark Hughes, but you never know. I hope not as SG has a good record and will only get better but money speaks and Leicester would allow him freedom in the transfer market. Im gutted Sven has been sacked cos whoever they get now will know what they are doing and move them up the table! Sven was s**t! NR

MOT

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Yeah, gutted that Svengali has gone. He is a joker and if they make a good appointment they could be a force. Hope the Thai owners at Leicester aren't too aware of SG.

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't think there is a price which would prise Grayson away from Leeds at the moment.....

Quite happy for grayson to go.might get someone who knows how to organise defence

Not a Paynter fan myself. I saw him at Hull and thought he was poor. He then had a reasonable season at Swindon but was poor in the play offs. He looked good against us but so did every other striker. He has been poor for us since he came and I know he has been injured. I would be very interested to see how he would perform under Gus Poyet and whether he can get more out of him than Grayson.

My post a couple of days ago in which I state we should stick with this current young back four, if you look at the last few weeks we have never been under serve pressure at all, the small mistakes will be ironed out, you can tell the hard work on the training ground is paying off, grayson has mentioned several times that the work the defence is doing in training is a focus. If this young team stick together, there is not a team in this division who will live with them. And my last point for the critics is when did the last Leeds team pass the ball around from the back, through the midfield onto the front men. Keep with the they will deliver for us. I bet we do not lose 6-1 this season. Kevin

Steve Harper has just joined Brighton on a months loan. That would have been a god one for us, just as an alternative to Rachubka if he continued poorly, at least until Lonners was back.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Agree it's always nice to have extra cover, but what sort of message would that have sent out?

We need to get behind Rachubka, not undermine him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree that we certainly need to stick with Rachubka as 1st choice at moment, just think we need options as Cairns is untried.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some1 who got beaten from 75 yards by Alonso? and also has a reputation for palming shots into his own goal, stick with chubby

Hmmm...

Grayson was already at an advantage to you guys by already being in the football business...But if you know better about the players he sees and works with day in and day out, then why don't you quit your jobs shelf-stacking at the local Asda and forge yourself a career in football management??

And no, I don't mean a couple of hours on a simulation game either. Put your money where your mouth is, get yourself coaching at Football League level and let us all know how it goes

Until I can do that, I won't bother commenting...If Fergie/Mourinho/Revie/Busby/Shankly/ can get it wrong, then I'm sure as hell that Simon Grayson is likely to aswell!

We are fifth, after a very dodgy and shaky start. Take it for what it is and help the rest of us inspire the whole team (LUFC as a whole, right down to the tea lady!) onwards and upwards and back to the PRemiership!!

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Simon Grayson is the best manager Leeds have had since Wilkinson. fact.

Agree9 Disagree1

Maybe since O'leary, but i agree hes a great manager

Agree2 Disagree3

O'Leary did get the best out of an average team, but was guilty of gross mismanagement financially too.

Agree5 Disagree2

No way grayson is the best manager since wilkinson....o'leary all the way....however SG has done really well with the funds he has

Agree3 Disagree4

O'Leary did as much to f*** us up as Ridsdale. Top on New Year's Day, finished 5th, hence no Champions League - game over. He started well but eventually lost it.

Agree3 Disagree1

A great manager would have done more with the money available than what O`Leary did

Agree3 Disagree0

O'Leary was not in the same class as Wilkinsin, and neither is Grayson - yet! But he's fast getting there! MOT!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Nah was risdale and he put all the crap on o'leary
