I was at the game on Saturday and the first half was poor why is varney playing up front when mc cormack is far better in that position. Bring back Becchio he will get us what we are severely lacking GOALS get your finger out BM

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sure BM would have got his finger out by now if right player/funds was available

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, becchio used to pop up with some vital goals!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasnt Varney scored more in that position?

Ed - just wondering if we could have a poll on who people feel has being our best/most influential player so far this season, or is it too early at the moment? {Ed013's Note - Good idea mate, the results will be good to look at at the end of the season. I will get on it mate}

Cheers pal

listen gfh or gfh "no capital" you better find some funds for brian from somewhere otherwise with no out and out striker? no wingers any good anyway we are in for a bad season which is a shame because there was a lot of optimistic fans at the start of this season that's not feeling so optimistic now pull the finger out get a loanee or two that will do a job till january and your going to have to get a few million too for january or I can see us falling down that table and the loyal fans that go to watch the boys week in week out will begin to sit at home watching tele text for the results, getting ridiculous after such a great start pity! by the way I was very optimistic and still have faith in the boys just missing some spark up front and on the wings

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You'd think we have had the worse start in or history! We're a few points off the playoffs with over 30 games to go under a completely different strategy and a good few youth players that are coming up, it's not an ideal start but far from bad, besides I think this is the hugest investment since Richard cresswell! Give the boys a chance and goals will definitely come we're so strong at the back it's only a matter of time Before the goals start flowing. Stay positive!!

I for one will be happy if becchio came back.
Who cares why he went and after all the premier league is dream for us all.
All I want is the bloody ball in the net. He can do it better than anyone we have. shrew leeds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Matt fryatt is the striker mcdermott is wanting on loan not becchio I for one would be happy if we ended up getting fryatt

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate, and he may come back desperate to restore his reputation which will be even better for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the stupid greedy man rot in the Norwich reserves.

Agree0 Disagree0

The trouble is Fryatt has done nowt since his move to the Cod-eds so the question must be is he past his best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from help hull get promoted last season no he hasn't done owt has he oh yeah and he was there top scorer

Agree0 Disagree0

Fryatt has had a bad Achilles injury since his goalscoring fest and broke down on two occasions during recovery, my point is would we be buying into another injury prone player.

Not a rumour - just a wish list really.

2 of either Steven Dobbie, Aaron wilbrahim, or Billy sharp.

Both palace players left out of 25, so will go on loan - and I find it hard to look past sharps scoring record.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mcdermott at the hull vs huddersfield game tonight according to tv radio leeds he's been watching fryatt what's everyones opinion of him remember him doing well against us for leicster

My mum lives right across the road from T.A. She says she has seen Becchio sat outside T.A enterance for a good 20 mins. Was on his phone and eating quite a big messy ice cream apparently! Can't think of any reason he would be back at T.A unless he was re-signing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seeing as he's sat on the bench at Vicarage Road, I find that pretty unlikely

Maybe he just missed the ice cream at TA and fancied a drive - nothing else to do!

I think we will get told that the right player couldn't be found for the club at the end of the loan window.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep, sadly I agree. I do have to question the decision of rejecting david Bentley, he is a top quality winger who may not be the fastest but he can improve our style and put in some crosses and goals. I don't know what winger brian is waiting for but I can't see him being better than bentley. I just hope brian can bring in a striker and a winger

Agree0 Disagree0

There is one reason only that Bentley won't be coming. we can't afford him!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we do its because it's true. McD won't sign a player just to appease the whingers.

McD scotches the Bentley rumours.

people that saying alfie is coming on loan. Do you really think Reading would let there main striker leave on loan to a championship rival?

harrisy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does a main striker stay on the bench most weeks and if Adkins didn't want him he wouldn't sign another striker on loan

i think the striker could be vaz te belly the white

Calling all Leeds fans to support the petition to have our Yorkshire King, Richard III buried at York Minster and not Leicester Cathedral. All Leicester City fans have supported his burial in Leicester - had T shirts printed etc . Richard was a true white rose and would certainly have been a Leeds fan - give your support by signing petition which closes today by clicking the link. The current submissions are very close with Leicester having around 27,000 and Yorkshire around 30,000.

leeds looked into signing a striker on loan but they didn't want to let him go. i'm guessing it will of been ALF

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or Vaz te as they are short on options up front

i think a winger is the most important position we need to sign at the moment so we can change things up a bit . if we sign Bentley and get him on top form we will get a lot better ball into the box and I think smith could benefit from this more than any other player . we have strikers that can score

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said, I think you're spot on, our problems are a lack of good balls into the box - we need a good winger and possibly Byram also in that role on the other wing. All strikers need good service on which to feed, ours are not getting any - with better balls into the box i'm sure our existing squad would improve. A quality goal scorer would be the icing!

Agree0 Disagree0

But apart from poelon we have no pace Varney has got a good burst but he's a 5 good chances to one converted player. Poelon is too young for starting every week. That's why IMO we do need both a winger (not Bentley ) and a striker. Bentley would play 2 to 3 games maybe play well but it would = injured for 5to 10 games

Agree0 Disagree0

No point putting balls into an empty box. and no that's not a euphemism!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not convinced by bentley at all injuries have ruined his career and I just don't think he is what we need past it me thinks

Call me stupid But if alf not good enough for reading, why do we want him? i'd prefer a player on fringe of premier team but not beccio ( rusty ) fryatt. Maynard. Vaz te
Also think whoever we bring in should be up front with mcc or varney. With poleon and smith as impact
Do we reckon diouf still got it. Another one to go in january.
Be pleased to know your thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Long and Bentley would be the dream scenario.

however Maynard for me would be also a quality addition.

got a PL calibre for scoring goals, gets in the right place at the right time, I said when he was at Rotherham in L2 he would be in the PL and I was right, believe me, he will be back there, he's a class act

Agree0 Disagree0

A few years ago at Elland Road in the cup game against Spurs I can remember that Bentley tore us to shreds any one else remember?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 goals for reading in the prem tells me he is good enough got to remember he never really started many games either top striker in my opinion

mentioned a few weeks ago about the idea of fryatt coming in, and was somewhat ridiculed. Now it seems there's a change in heart in some leeds fans. Always thought he would be a great player for us, and if we could get him in on loan, feel that he has enough to escalate us into the play offs, or there abouts.
Would also like to see mowatt given a start, if what I've heard is right, he's a more promising prospect than byram, would give McCormack a rest and see what he can do behind the front two, who in my opinion should be fryatt and varney.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes a promising prospect not more promising that Byram though that's just ridiculous haha.
