I don't know much about Carbone and would welcome him to join Naylor and Redfearn but not to replace them.

I say change the whole lot mate, we have been stagnant too long, they may be doing an OK job but the new owner needs to make major changes throughout.

Agree0 Disagree0

Marco think that's where Moyes tripped up at Manchester United mate, changes on a big scale as ALL the backroom staff need time and patience I think but that's only my opinion ;)

Mr C turned up at the players sponsors' lunch yesterday. Two great quotes from the man:

1. To Dom Poleon "Next year I going to put your wage on the back of the shirt instead of the squad number" after hearing from him that he had scored just 2 goals in 23 outings.

2. To Ross McCormack, on asking him if he was going to be at Leeds next year and being told by Ross "That's up to you" Mr C replied "Sure, why not, why own a fridge and not put any beer in it"

A great man indeed!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I take it this is called sarcasm?
I am sure Massino is not back in the country till Monday Evening!
On another note, If McDonut tries to sign us that has been Yeovil player, I want Him(McDonut) sacked!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Mr C popped in at the end of the lunch and chatted to us all for 15 minutes. He is in Leeds full time at the moment and is effectively hands on running the club. On a serious note this was a great touch from him. He came to chat to us and the players and took time out of his very busy schedule (a massive understatement!). I don't think KB would have done this. Good on him.

You have obviously been reading wpedia crap?

Has Poleon seriously played 23 games this season? I must have missed a few of them?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2014 07:07:09
Leeds along time. He means 23 in total not this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw Webster play on sky on Friday, I tell u he is a million miles better than any centre half we have. He is a v good football playing centre half, at one point he sold 2 players a dummy an carried the ball up to half way and passed it yes I said pass not hooooffff. Who gets him for free will get a v good deal mark my words. Ps Tom Lees the most over rated player I have ever seen he's garbage,

'I can't explain the dramatic dip in form' (I paraphrase) attributed to Mr McD

Without resorting to the well known McEnroe 'you can't be serious' what planet is he on, he is the manager, the person who decides what team to play, what tactics to play, what players the club needs, need I go on. He is paid far more than most of us could hope to earn and for what to admit us something that is becoming evermore apparent, that he doesn't have a clue why a well performing team dipped so badly in form that we started to think about life back in Lg1. OK so life has been difficult, we all knew that the finances of our great club were 'complicated', I want to say as dense as Mr McD response. where does personal responsibility come in here, if I went to my boss and said Sorry I can't explain the serious discrepancy between my teams performance between the start of the financial year and now I would likely be placed under competency procedures. Man up Mr McD take some personal responsibility, acknowledge your own part in what has happened you may get some sympathy from others if you do, otherwise it will be a case of 'exit stage left and please turn the lights out as you go we need to be careful with money you know'.

Sorry rant over but what a limp response to a very disappointing season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha ha, I agree, that is a very very poor response to how the season has gone, if he can't explain it then he is basically saying he has no clue about football IMO, and in which case should be shown the door.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with BOTH of you he's not even blaming the take over like he was last month, hey don't listen to me though I change my mind about BmD everday

My brain says get rid my gut says give him till xmas but its edging 60/40 towards a NEW manager i'm afraid ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Another comedy gold comment from our inept manager. He has been spouting for months on post match radio interviews that he knows what needs to be done to get out of this division and then comes out with this contradictory nonsense. The art of a good manager is being able being able to manage events when they do not go to plan. His belief that he knows how to get out of the division is through his time at Reading (You do know that he got Reading promoted!), where granted he achieved promotion but with a team that was built by someone else and with little or no issues i.e. injuries.

I don't understand this statement "dip in form"
we have been rubbish all year.
we just got lucky in the first half of the season until we got sussed by other teams.

dont forget our great performances in the cup.the writing was on the wall early doors, but as usual we buried our heads in the sand.

Agree0 Disagree0

BM? oh dear oh dear fancy not having a clue, well here are some tips why it went so bad.

1) Playing players out of position

2) Going back and forth with different formations, then deciding that ones that don't work will give them another go later in the year and expecting different results.

3) Not getting the best out of what you have (which isn't great but better than 16th in this league)

4) Not knowing your best team.

5) Not making pro-active decisions in games until we are behind, he is Mr Reactive.

6)Motivational skills clearly lacks

So he should have had ideas why it went so wrong, to me if you don't know the problems how can you address them? He has to go I'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you missed the most important one:

'a team wins twice on the trot without conceding a goal and you change it'

happened quite recently actually, so not hard to remember?

Agree0 Disagree0

Add to DR'S list:

7) Buying defenders that can't defend

8) Bringing in Hunt - a striker who can't score

9) Bringing in wingers that can't run at a defence, can't beat a defender or cross the ball

10) Not playing Byron or Diouf - two of our better players last year

11) Picking Tom Lees - who can't defend, can't pass and who hoofs the ball straight to the opposition

Agree0 Disagree0

Take my hat off to Ian Holloway with palace at the bottom of the pile he put his hand up and said I need to go.

They are now 11th if only BMD had the balls to do the same.

Sorry if i'm out of order ED mentioning another site.

(lee chapmans sofa page) only his opinion but depressing to read.

1. No promotion in next few years.
2. Zola or any Italian manager won't work with MC.
3. BmD WONT be chief scout.
4. MC Wont spend millions on ANY player.
5. We won't own TA or ER this year or next year.
6. We won't be any happier at this time NEXT season.

Hope he's totally wrong FFS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As you say Andy, only his opinion. On what these views are based I have no idea, also he is hardly complimentary about other Leeds fans, "children of 18-70"!? Lovely, thanks mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

I know VID to say we paid him a decent wage for a good few years you'd think he'd have something decent to say about the club/fans ;(

On the subject of a new manager, I agree we need stability but do not think Bmcd is the right manager for us. Problem is that we are such a big club that it is too much for managers like Bmcd and the Warlock who have managed smaller clubs successfully.
IMO we need a manager who has experience of a top half prem or foreign top league, that will not be overshadowed by the club, history, fans and opposition all wanting Leeds scalp as it is the biggest game for most of them.

Not sure who, but feel that will need the experience gained at a top club to hack it at ER. let's hope that Cellino's plans and money are able to attract such a manger for us. MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with what you said, Mac has stated he hasn't a clue as to what went wrong with our season, says everything that, if he hasn't a clue how is he expected to put it right, bye Brian thanks for your efforts but they were sadly lacking, I think as has been rumoured, Massimo will pick the players and get someone in to coach them, Mac has a worse record than Warnock and the same dire football, it is a massive job to sort this mess out, so going to take an experienced and ruthless coach to sort it, can't be any worse than the last few years whatever, to finish 40 points behind Leicester shows how much work needs doing, let's hope Massimo is up to the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree and think dimateo would do a brilliant fr us, ha the experince o europe and top half of the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Apr 2014 07:19:03
McDermott has quoted that Cellino's plan to have LEEDS back in the Prem by 2016 is a realistic target.
On present form with him as manager Div 2 is looking more achievable.

Good morning Massimo. Gooda mornin Brian, you got to da team alla ready for Saturday. Yes, I am starting Smith. In goal. Well, he is very tall and I can't play him up front, I got Murphy there. Well, you did say to give him an advanced role, so, if anything goes wrong, its your fault. He is playing alongside Rudy, well, he is tall and I can't play him in goal because I got Smiffy there. Anyway, he didn't like it on the wing. Ross is on the bench, he will be our secret weapon. I did that at Reading. Did I tell you about Reading. I was there, at Reading. Did that with Lafondre, at Reading. Worked a treat, when I was at Reading. Won a title at Reading I did. I have solved the problem at left back. Sam is injured and that Peltier chap has not turned up for weeks, so I am going with Paddy Kenny. Well, he keeps complaining he does not get a game and he can't half hoof it. I was hoping you could help me a bit with the rest of the team Massimo, see, I have put the rest of the squad names in a hat, so, if you could just pull a few out, that way, if anything goes wrong, its your fault.

What about giving Kop Kat a stint in goal.
