News flash radz sees sense and car cancelled Myanmar tour. He said he now realises it would be dangerous so he's pencilled in a couple of games in Syria instead starting with Damascus raiders

This tour thing all a misunderstanding anyway. Just found this out from Radz. It all started when Kinnear asked Radz where we going pre-season? To which Radz replied "I don't know depends how much money we got. " Kinnear answered and said we were pretty much skint so Radz said "in that case, it's a real bummer! " Rest is history guys. Radz just trying to save Kinnear embarassment at this point. So guys that's the story of how we booked the "real Burma". Would be funny if weren't for all the genocidal maniacs running around.

With any luck the reason that we are doing this pre season tour is due to someone like this. Maybe a new owner? Wikipedia - Tay Za – $6.8 billion net worth. Tay Za's airline Air Bagan is the main sponsor of Yangon United Football Club, one of the nine professional football clubs in Myanmar competing for the Myanmar National League (MNL) title. His son is chairman of the club. Bit out there but who knows? MoT

EFL find wolves have done nothing wrong with their links to football super agent GM. I for one say good on Wolves and their owner for having such good contacts and well done for this season, they deserved the title. Egg on your face again Radz, stop bleating now, get your head out of Ortas bottom and maybe get some better contacts.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

25 Apr 2018 18:14:13
Better contacts to sell on the club to someone with a greater investment and let a manager pick players he wants. Not ones he has too work with. Radz slowly but surely making the club a laughing stock. Firstly orta. Then the badge. Then this mendes saga again st wolves and now this bloody trio to Myanmar. Holy shoot man. Whet are you going to do next. ?

Agree with all these views. He made the right noises early on and bought the ground back, putting the Club up for sale should be his next move. Maybe Monk's meeting with Radz last year gave him a glimpse of what was to come and he thought, "I'm out".

If the FL reckon they've done nowt wrong they should have a look at the rule that says that clubs should not have shares in agencies

As far as I am aware wolves doesn't have shares in a agency, just their owner has a good friendship with GM.

Wonder how the club would react to a player making themselves unavailable to go to Myanmar as they didn't want to be associated with the human rights atrocities that have been committed out there. I am sure some will have grave misgivings about going. More to the point how would the fans react if a player did pull themselves out of the tour.

I will second that Martyn and more to the point, why on Earth are we going there stirring up feelings and upset when there are many many other countries to choose! It is ludicrous and I can’t believe Radz pays for people to make these decisions! If I was a player at Leeds I wouldn’t go!

They shouldn't go, make a stand for the little people. Make it a tour of Bangladesh with any profit going to the refugees from Myanmar

25 Apr 2018 13:39:35
Whilst I agree that maybe there are many far less controversial venues for a post season tour I can maybe see the owners desire to go. Financial reasons! So long as the supporters (how many of them can afford the air fare even tho the beer is cheap) and the players safety is paramount then I can see no reason to cancel. Amnesty International decry the tour but then they would. Ang San Su Ky is trying to stabilise and bring it to Western standards, but this takes time. Western tourists have been happily visiting the country for a few years now and many UK companies are actively trading with Myanmar and making nice little profits. In fact apart from Amnesty's voice everyone else jumping on the bandwagon is carrying just a little Hypocrisy. Our Government (of both persuasions) has been dealing with debatable regimes for many a year both blatantly and under the counter. The only benchmark being; is there a profit in it for us? So let's not get carried away on Amnesty's wave of moral rightuousness, unless the British Govt and /or the UN ban trade and travel then again the only concern must be safety, of all parties and if that cannot be guaranteed then, only then must it be cancelled.

Leodis the FCO advise STRONGLY against unnecessary travel to Myanmar and if you do decide to ignore that advice then to avoid the majority of the country with the exception of the area around the capital city. To say peope are jumping on a bandwagon is out of order, in excess of a million people displaced, many thousands killed, I personally saw ethnic cleansing first hand in Bosnia and have to say I for one condemn the club for going and will not support this "tour" in any way it is just plain wrong in so many many ways, unless you have lived through it or seen it and I don't mean on the TV please don't comment from ignorance

Agree5 Disagree0

25 Apr 2018 15:21:34
This tour is born out of greed by radz who owns tv rights in that part of Asia. He said the club won't make any money from the tour but his tv business will. Shirt sales over lives #GREED

25 Apr 2018 15:23:55
I find it difficult to agree with Radz reasons for going to Myanmar and although he claims there is no appearance fee being paid to Leeds I suspect there may be indirect financial benefits. To quote lyrics from a song by Stevie V "Money talks, mmm-hmm-hmm, money talks. Dirty cash I want you, dirty cash I need you, woh-ho"

Agree2 Disagree1

25 Apr 2018 15:33:51
Well put Notts. Different but well put. I held radz in a higher regard but he's gone down in my estimation now. It takes someone with no mortals to make money out of death and torture. Go to Japan and sell shirts radz or don't you own the rights for the tv over there?

Agree2 Disagree1

25 Apr 2018 16:17:57
Hes been going down in my estimation for weeks not a thought about the players or fans who will strongly oppose this the morals of it dragging our name down again he is definitely not a football man this is purely business can see real grief if players refuse to go, badly thought out yet again no confidence now at all on this regime one balls up after another could struggle to sign both players or managers the way we are now

I agree Martyn, the player should be backed 100%. Personally I am disappointed in our Owner putting the Club in this situation if as it seems for his own personal business reasons. Why can't we have a seen but not heard Owner who just gets on with the job of making a success of our Club. I have had the p*ss taken out of me today by fans of other clubs saying "Have you booked for Burma yet? " And have yet another good laugh at Leeds expense. It seems we just lurch from one mess to another.

I agree Lufcfev, we sure do just jump from one mess too another! I know we have zero chance of getting a buyout by a group of the calibur of the Mansours that own Man City but that’s what this club needs . I don’t just mean the financial clout, I mean in terms of they just get it they get their responsibility to the fans and to the city the surrounding areas around the ethihad . They understand they have a financial, moral responsibility to both the club it’s fans and it’s community! It seems that all we get is crooked fraudsters only in it for themselves. Sad to say this but we are being left behind, Way way way behind. It saddens me greatly

As I said in an earlier post, what is Radz in this for? Not for the good of Leeds, and fans back him! Its profit. ££££! Do it on the cheap! Bring Leeds to a country with a disgraceful human rights record! Remember, it could be any football team anywhere for him! When you give out your loyalty, get the facts. same for Sackingbottom. don't be sheep!

I know I am a voice in the wilderness here but what I was not doing was condoning any form of ethic cleansing what I was pointing out was that our Government and our industries are never bothered about the real moral stance of any regime. They pay lip service and claim the high ground but they are more than happy to trade with, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel (I could go on, all much higher on the rights abuse scale) and turn a blind eye to any infractions of any moral code. I too have concerns about players safety and would defend each persons right to refuse but the FCOs travel warning does not cover the whole of Myanmar bu merely several states where travel is also severely restricted by the Burmese Govt. Backpackers, Tourists and foreign business men are happily enjoying Burmese hospitality at many sites as we speak. If no supporters wish to go because of human rights violations I fully understand and maybe that will flag to Radz the flaw in his decision making and I am sure in retrospect there are many other less controversial markets he can open.

Martyn, I'm sure Radz will funnel his digital media profits from the tour into the summer transfer budget. Many things are purchased with blood money. It's highly unethical but it goes on. What I really object to about Radz is his hypocrisy and attempts to delude fans. He's not the one to take us up. More mediocrity beckons as well as embarassment.

Have we just found our new striker? Tyler Denton. 2 goals against Bristol City. Both slotted home from five yards out. Our Left Back. What's that all about? Still. Well done to all of them, finishing in style. More names making it harder for Hecky to ignore them. Stevens played well as did Dalby. What the 'eck they all had a good game, as the scoreline suggests. Bodes well for the future.

The powers to be at our club really need to rethink this tour to Myanmar. All very well Radz saying it's about taking football to a deprived area or about breaking down barriers etc, but we have the British sports minister and various human rights groups warning us it's wrong to be going there. Some times in life making money should come second to doing the right thing. Once again this once great club is going to be have its name dragged through the mud. Let's hope the fan power can dissuade the club to rethink like the badge issue.

That would be the only positive, but all joking apart Martyn is this how low this club is willing to sink. wasn't we told that Radz was a good business man, makes a lot of poor decisions from what I can see. Do we really need our club to be associated with a country that has a poor human rights record, how about us making the news for the right reasons for a change.

Am thinking this has nothing to do with football and all about business. As Kinnear said its a vast untapped market and they are hoping to get a foot in it. It concerns me because it shows what their priorities are, making money for Aser. Of all the places we could have gone we chose here May as well have set up some friendlies with local schools.

Why can’t we just get on with our business quietly and professionally?
