Its crazy people moaning about lack of signings. Considering the transfer window isn't open yet

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Window doesn't need to be open for us to sign players though! Plenty of other teams are signing players

I thought it ran from final day of domestic season until 01 September?!?

Looks like the Transfer Emargo is to blame for lack of signings . Hopefully lifted on Monday and we will see some action .

Is it me or is ER currently like that Bjork single "oh so quiet"

that said just been told to expect 2 announcements coming in the next week to 10 days from MC,

First is allegedly buying back ER, deal done.

Second is on 1st July expect 2 new signings a centre back and midfield player, apparently "not" household names but up and coming "young guns" one English and currently in Div 1 other a foreigner, not sure about the original source but bloke who told me hasn't been wrong too often in the past.

These seem to fit the same 2 players I was told about last week, they were BOTH at ER early in the morning and no one could find out if they had signed or agreed terms.
I know the English based player was thinking over the terms and conditions but it's gone quiet since!!

I feel sorry for Haigh, not well and also no access to his computer, phone or even a pen and paper for the whole 6 weeks in custody!
How tough it must be in a foreign jail. Not like the holiday camps we have here.
Why is it that when anyone gets bang up abroad they expect to be treated like it's governed by UK laws? Foreign jails, foreign laws.

Not if he has stolen £3 million from LUFC.

Keep your eye out today for the last 'tease' regarding the new home shirt for the 2014/15 season. It's a video too!
@Lufccommercial tweet

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They even torture us with a simple kit unveiling like its going to make the whole club ok and play amazing football. the worst thing is that they show you a nike boot at the start of the video and you're like whoa is the new kit nike and then you remember that we're in an iron clad deal with Wackron til hell freezes over. Not impressed. yet

For all the fans on here trying to justify having a poor coach on the basis that previous experienced managers have failed. I agree they have & yes there's a but. My But is this, from the moment MC gets us on track & decent players come in is yhe only time we can properly judge them. Previous managers have been shackled by no budget or a poor one, also grabbing freebies & not getting the targets asked for. Now this isn't the case for all of them but most in recent years. So stop with the justification of Hockaday by using what has gone before. Just stick to the facts that MC wouldn't back his true gut instinct which was Dolan because of money & then tried to convince us that Hock was his one and only.
Believe it or not I've been a full supporter of MC since finding out he wanted to buy us but I know when I'm being mugged off & won't make excuses for him. I like some of the things he's trying to do & take with a pinch of salt most of the BS coming out of ER lately but won't be all for everything he does just because I like him

Slough you say you when when you're being mugged off and you say that Cellino didn't want to pay the €400,000 or however much it was to get Dolan did you ever think that maybe he thought that was a bit pricey for someone who has only been in charge of a team for 1 year and that was in the conference which happens to be the same level as Hockaday.

You'd pay the money when you can get someone of the same standard for free that's not the greatest business sense in the world is it?

Does this mean you'd have been happy with Dolan being appointed?

Agree0 Disagree0

JBM the point I'm making is that at a presser to unveil new coach MC says it's my gut instict, the reason he employed Shockaday, was it the same gut instict which wanted Dolan but put off by the money. If MC had hired Dolan he would have said the same thing yet clearly a gut instinct is exactly that not an either either situation.
As for Dolans record it's neither here nor there tbh but I can't listen to BS from our president the same as I couldn't put up with it from McD or DH last year. I think we've worn this out mate, we've got Shockerdave & I hope he proves us all wrong. MOT

Fair enough Slough but I'd rather prefer to think he proves some of us right. ;)

yes ok lads I know we are leeds through and through and I know il never stop supporting them, but for goodness sake where are we going?
yes give hockaday a chance, do this do that, but really get a grip.
all i'm personally asking is for us to give it a go.actually try to get out the league.
before you say give it a chance I am, but to see we are making a maidenhead utd player our first signing is to be frank embarrassing.
my little boy is 3, why would he possibly get excited about making a 2 hour journey to watch my team full of loanee tutti fruttis and non league rejects, yes that includes the manager,
where will the future of leeds come from.
when his mums team, liverpool, are constantly on tv, talked about in school, why would these lads want to follow us.this is the hardest time ever.when we were younger we always had a decent side.
or at least played good football.
when we have to beg the likes off ross to stay its a sad day.to be honest he's looking for yet another new contract as he knows how strong his position is now.
yes he scored goals but I lost count how mant games last season I watched him run around like a headless chicken and seemed to give up. we could do far far better if only we were prepared to spend a little money.
i will give cellino every chance but why didn't he know how bad things were before buying the club.he had full access to books, profit and loss, invoices.
all he's done is cut cut cut.yes he needs to look at overheads but give us someting to cheer about please.im going to buy elland raod first week i'm there, he quoted.
yes you have kept your word, not. but blame it on thorpe arch costing us too much, blame this blame that.you are going to have to come up with something super exciting on the pitch to keep the interest going even early doors.last season first game v brighton, wow what an atmosphere, that was lufc at its best, you got the taste of where we were, where we want to be again, it was great.

i know il get the stupid comments back but who cares.we have a coach that was always full, last season half full, this season looking like a mini bus.it doesn't have to be this way.

I see where your coming from Shrew and I reckon a lot of people will agree with you but I totally disagree.

Cellino is a business man who knows how to run a football club as he's proven that for over two decades. I agree with the Elland Road part but I think he's playing the game the way all business is negotiated, you cry poverty to get a better deal because unfortunately that's the way of the world.

Don't forget our signing from Wealdstone worked out pretty well for us so I've no problem with where we get players as long as they're able to do the job they were hired for and I think that should apply to the staff too.

I'm not going to lie I wasn't overcome with joy from the appointment but in all fairness considering that we brought in managers who had the experience of getting promoted from the Championship in the last number of years that didn't exactly work so maybe a major change in strategy like this could very well be what we need. Someone who can't rest on their laurels after a few bad results with the usual lines "I know how to get promoted I've done it before, the players will come back stronger after this defeat" that usual rubbish they come out to defend themselves. The new guy has nothing to fall back on it's a once in a lifetime chance for him and the players have nothing to lose because all the attention will be shifted to the coach.

If we bring in the right blend of players and that doesn't mean we need to spend huge (although I'd love one marquee name we could all rave about) we could be the surprise package this season.

I completely respect your views Shrew and I would almost share them views but I genuinely believe in Cellino and feel we have an owner who cares about our club for the first time in a long time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shrews nice post and I feel the same but like JBM says these glorified managers have done us NO favours over the last god knows how many years.
Head up mate let's give him a chance to build what he's got in mind, stick in there mate just think where we'd be if MC hadn't have bought us when he did ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair comments back.
just want us to get back to prem or at least give it a good go. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

We have got to believe in MC. He bought leeds because he's seen the potential of this club. Sleeping giant. I have no doubt he is here to make money. That will only happen if we improve and get back to the premier league. He has invested his money. He is a business man. He is not stupid. His record in Italy proves that. Good times ahead.

Well said MrP ;)

Halifax White, that has to be rubbish mate, none of our players will take a wage cut, can't imagine MC asking that tbh. So many silly rumours doing the rounds atm. I do think he's bringing in foriegn players on cheaper wages but he will find out soon enough that cheap in general is wasted money when it comes to UK market as they're rubbish players or have bad history of trouble.
Take it with a pinch of salt mate
