Gotta say I'm humbled to be amongst such knowledge. Football strategy experts, business management tutors, youth development moguls, media experts, global politicians, human rights activists, the list just goes on and on. All on a feckin football site. amazing!

Bright, I couldn't agree more, what are the chances that all of them would be Leeds fans, and all on this website, stroke of luck.

Not just on this site Brighty but to help all you out all the (correct) wisdom is only contained in my posts so read and memorize. I may be persuaded to issue in book form at some later date but bear with me on that as nurse won't let me use anything sharp. By the way Buddha, before he died, asked me to enlighten the world for those that seek the path to promotion. So if you are reading Mr Radrizzani get in touch, I will let you know who to make the Postal Order out to.

Why don't we sack Heckingbottam and give the manager's job to Orta. He'd be gone for Christmas.

This season isn’t even over yet and I’m dreading the next one! I don’t like all this bad press or the fact that Radz is talking like Rockbottom will be in charge come the new season, why can’t some bloke come out of the woodwork like Khan who wants Wembley for £800M and buy us for a lot less! It’s really not to much to ask for is it fellow Leeds fans? Pre season will not be as optimistic as last season and I feel like the next positive great news post is years away! Sorry all to sound so negative!

Really wish there was that bloke lurking in the wings with a few billion Mike, but there isn't. For now I'm just happy we don't face liquidation as we have in the recent past. Maybe allow time, for the base to be built, then some mega bucks might be interested?

Agree2 Disagree1

26 Apr 2018 22:14:55
Mike I can see where your coming from but look at it this way. We will have injured players back. We will have one or two new faces and most importantly we have seen a few young guns come thro and impress. All we need is two or three more to change our fortunes. Coupled with all that is, if Hecky is true to his word and we play a high tempo controlled, pressing game, next year could be our year. Oops I said the last bit, same time last year but then we are Leeds, we live in hope. Doh! I said that as well.

Good post Brightwhite mate and another good one from Leodis, I’m just peed off and sometimes you wonder where it will end! I think the saga about our pre season and then Rockbottom’s interview sort of threw me over the edge! I look at Barnsley and the state he left them in and we should of kept TC till the end of season then reviewed it, but it like you guys have said maybe all this pessimism will turn out to be wrong, I mean after all being optimistic always leads to nothing so let’s try it the other way this season! 👍👍

Are We always going to bark on about the past, to run any club you need money, without it you get the team like we have, we don’t know there could be an investment team out there somewhere, Radz bought this club knowing that it will need money so spend Radz,

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Apr 2018 10:33:38
I believe we would have made the play-offs with TC, he seemed to have a good run, bad run, good run, bad run etc. and we were due a good run when PH took over but unfortunately he never made an impact and that good run was non-existent.

Just read an interview with Hecky in which he says, of the trip to Burma, "The squad will look different. Made up of players who are available to go. " He also said "We have got lots of players who are not going for various reasons. " Do I detect already some senior players - not in a million years. Just want to stay at home and play with the kids and who can blame them. Maybe Leeds will be there in name only fielding an 11 who can be "persuaded" to go.

I dunno guys. I think that I could be pursuaded to play in certain circumstances. If as i suspect, the media turn up en mass, cameras in hand, i would happily, without forewarning Radz etz casually potter out onto the pitch in a shirt with my name replaced with the word Rohingya emblazened across the back. That would learn em.

How on earth did Martyn get a thumbs down for that? A morally solid posting, regardless of our various opinions. Also, other teams may well tour countries with p1ss p00r human rights records, but two wrongs don't make a right. we don't need to mirror them. Doing this provides justification for the dirty Leeds logo. if we are to be what we hope to be, a top brand, we should not yarnish it in such a dubious manner.

The point is Martyn that other teams will be touring countries with dirty laundry but it's not a problem. If this tour promotes Leeds in emerging nations and economies it can be good for leeds and we are always saying football breaks barriers and brings people together. Maybe Leeds can break barriers in burma

So how many of you are not going to watch the World Cup in Russia? On principle alone? Because of what the Russians have done over the last 30 years? Boycott the TV, that's what I say! Ffs.

Agree2 Disagree2

26 Apr 2018 22:47:09
I can see both sides. It is a very debatable situation but until someone says you will not go then then the country is still open to any sports tours from any sports association. There are far worse countries on the Amnesty top 10 list whose leaders have had dinner with the Queen and shook hands with the PM and heads of industry. Their football teams are all invited by FIFA to take part in the World Cup. In fact two of them play each other early doors. One of them beheaded over 40 people last year some of them's only crime was to be opposition members. If Burma started making top quality half price 4k TVs I am sure we would all have one in our living rooms. One of the top human rights abusers is Turkey. They have there own form of ethnic cleansing against their Kurdish minority population but look how many of us support their economy by sitting on their beaches every year. I know your arguments for Leeds United not going and I am not belittling your thoughts but before the tour was anounced how many of you donated money or clothes to the Rohingya Emergency appeal? This situation was caused by a Government and as such can only be stopped by a Government. LUFC going or not going will not make a scrap of difference to the human rights abuses going on in Burma. This topic as contentious as it is is tending to overpower the actual footballing reasons of this site so as far as I am concerned, I love you all whether you agree with me or not and from now on I will restrict my missives to moulding the thoughts of chairman Radz and all those below him. ALAW

With the mention of two young names Nkodou and Nelson from the Premiership let me throw in another who is currently on loan in the Bundesligia. Ademolah Lookman currently on the books of Everton but unfortunately, for him, down the pecking order. The lad is only 20 and can play LW, RW or even Secondary Striker so easy fit out wide or (if necessary) instead of Samu. He would certainly give us more threat going forward than Dallas and stay upright longer than Alioski. He is supposedly valued at 6mil which seems a lot but in 3 years time when we are in the Prem and he is an International it will be a steal.

Lots of references to a pre season tour but what maes it even worse in my mind is that it seems to be a post season tour in May. What's the purpose? Which players would we want to take and get used to playing together in May. Obviously aside from the fact we shouldn't be going there anywhere. Get the best of the under 23s, under 18s and those likely to stay and book a Butlins somewhere, more useful!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

26 Apr 2018 10:22:03
Totally agree Spanish, the tour serves no footballing purpose. No doubt it does however serve a financial/marketing purpose for Mr Radz. It will be a great dissapointment to the Burmese when we field a team of reserves because the good ones don't want to go. Hope for their sake they have a clause written in to the contract. Actually I don't I would rather our good players sat on a beach somewhere after all the excersions they have put in this year (sits back and waits for response! )

Martyn The club won't be but he will. Digital media profits which he will then lawfully siphon to augment transfer kitty or you think it coincidence he has such an online presence in the Far East? Radz is a very clever man and he seeks to avoid fan criticism for next season. This is his solution.

There is a good post on the through it all website about Radz open letter to fans and the Myanmar tour. His points are full of holes, far from creating goodwill he is damaging further the Leeds United brand. Radz talks about Myanmar being close to his heart, hhmm! More like close to his bank balance of his tv sports rights business. He says it's not about getting involved with the politics of the country more about coaching children, does he realise by taking Leeds Utd to Myanmar this is seen as backing for this regeime. Come on Radz you aren't stupid, don't mug us off, cancel this tour now. #uturnnow #peoplebeforeprofit. #dotherightthing

By taking a team there to play and make the country money. Whatpurposeis there in a post season tour bright? What's it's purpose because it's beyond me. Send em off on their jollys and spend the time working out who should stay and who should go and then concentrate on filling the gaps with real players not Spanish and Italian 3rd division players

When the EU is getting ready to impose more sanctions on Myanmar, Leeds Utd are getting ready to send a team to play 2 tour games. Your Question Brightwhite how can we be seen as backing the regime. Don't you think their government will get a boost from this, use it as some kind of publicity. When human rights organisations are saying it's wrong for us to go, don't you think there is a reason for this. Google Myanmar now and Leeds Utd is linked with it, let's hope we keep our sponsors of get future sponsors wanting to be associated with us. Money to Radz is more important than our name.
