Warnock stated 8 more signings a few days ago, since then 5 have signed. The remaining 3 will be RB, CB and striker. I think now that snoddy is leaving he'll also sign a winger. After this the only possible signing we'll make is a direct replacement for mccormack should he leave

I think if we can sign peltier for right back, crainie as cover for lees and pearce.
Grab mcgugan, templeton and kightly for midfield.
Maynard up front. zavon hines on a free

Is this too unrealistic guys?

I would love to see it!

Obviously we would have to sell mccormack and the others who are listed.

Neil Warnock on the official site is talking a lot of sense regards ins and outs. For the first time in a long time I think we have a head of steam building up

I would hate it if the stay away fans did not back the new motivation by attending in very large numbers . Morley whites.

Totally agree mate - and don't worry, once all the new signings gel and the results start coming all the "stay-aways" will flock back.

I really dont understand why some people are still moaning about our recent signings , saying they are poor quality - under the new fair play rules chamionship clubs can spend 6 mill on players- we needed to rebuild the squad with so many players it was inevitable that some would have to be freebies - NW has done a fantastic job of bringing in good players for little money leaving him whatever cash he has to get 3/4 "icing on the cake" type players - now we have a squad lets wait and see who he brings in now and stop moaning - i for one am looking forward to the new season

For all those moaning and groaning about the current batch of signings, personally I think you are missing some key points. Firstly and probably most importantly they all want to join the club and most of them did have other options. Secondly, they are all signing contracts rather than being on loan like previously so they really have got something to play for (even if it's only another contract)! Thirdly, please take a bit of time and look at the best 16 players of what we have now and compare it to last season (& the previous one....and more!) Personally I think it is far stronger. Finally, for those who are saying we will be boring, I would prefer to call it hard to beat....and that will do me. At least these players are all 100%er's and if we don't win it certainly will not be for the lack of trying. Let's give them all our support and welcome them all to our great club. The only thing I would change is for NW to commit for a little longer.i'm sure he's going to love it!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Midfield is where a game is won and lost, look at what NW has built, Leeds will dominate games next season, I for one am really pleased witht the way NW is building the squad, he's made some real great signings that have clearly joined Leeds because of NW.

Hi Guys just my thoughts here not rumours, the new look squad is coming along nicely and we should let Snodgrass go for the right price. I believe that the takeover / investment will happen if not already, however I don't think we will see the funds this season, NW is assembling a squad of experience for this season that much is obvious from the signings, NW also stated that he wanted 1 last promotion to the PL, which to me means he will try to get us promoted then call it a day = not much point in him having the investment funds! I believe the investment funds will be for a new manager once we are back in the PL in an effort to keep us there - Would love Harry Redknapp to manage us when we get back.

I've been following the comments on this site for some time now and what is clear is that "a little knowledge is dangerous". We've had some brief outline of the pending takeover/investment and straightaway, people are wanting things to happen overnight. Everyone suddenly becomes an "expert" on such business transactions and if they don't hear anything straight away, panic alarms are ringing. These matters take time to complete and NW must be well aware of that and he's kept his cards very close to his chest when speaking publicly about the future. I for one would want no other man to be in charge when it comes to building a team that will do one specific job and that is to get us out of the championship and into the Premier League. Once there, the cash injection will be what is needed to consolidate and buy top quality players that Leeds have had since I first started following them in the 70's. We still need some players to add to the squad but we're in a better position now than we we were at the end of last season with players at the club who are committed to us and can do the job that NW wants them to do. So lets go forward with some confidence and not moaning about lost players and get behind the lads that are here now for us and give them all our backing

Just wandering re centre back position...we seem a bit light. When is Kisnorbo back? not to mention that he looked a couple of yards off the pace after the first injury anyway, never mind the second! There is Bromby as well but he didn't really impress last season either.Andy OB is off. So i still feel we need another centre back who can do a job. Maybe Cranie will sign, but it would be good to have another quality CB in there to partner Pearce and help bring Tom Lees on.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

A couple of yards off the pace? Last year it was painful watching Kisnorbo looking like he was running through treacle. If he was a racehorse he'd have been shot by now

Agree2 Disagree0

Ideally we need a solid CB partnership, but its been mentioned that Austin can play CB, now we have plenty of midfield options he could be used as cover.

I don't believe we are light at CB, we are much stronger than we have been for the last 2 seasons, yes we had 7 cb before but was any of them any good?

Reading Warnocks remarks on the official site I think he's going down the Blackwell route off spending nearly all his budget on strikers. I still think we will sign peltier,I think the deal is much the same as Norris, and the lad is just waiting for us to give the say so.If not I think he would have signed for the yappers by now.As for strikers I think he will bring in 2. I think we are interested in Tempelton but can't see us going to a million for a player with one. Year on his contract.i have no hp but for some reason I think we will sign Craig m smith.

I think boyd and templeton are no brainers and a new ST is a must would love maynard, bothroyd someone who can score goals.
also i sick of reading all the negative people on here

Leeds to sign Templeton if Hearts decide not to hold onto him until his contract expires at the end of the coming season.
Some much needed pace upfront, with him on the left, Rogers down the right, and Becchio spearheading our attack, we're beginning to shape up nicely. Just need a quality CM now, with a bit of flair going forward, and a RB [hoping that Peltier is almost finalised]. any other additions would be warmly welcomed also

Warnock has said snodgrass is making a mistake going to norwich, totally agree he is a good player, but not for the premier league, another year and he would have been ok, but 3mil i would sign Peltier, Boyd, Templeton, Beckford, Gradel and give Cranie a contract. I would even consider free agent Hines who played at Burnley lasy season. 23yrs old, quick and under the guidance on NW could get his career back on track

Can't understand where some of this comes from. Lots of people are basically saying that Howson, Johnson, Snodgrass (and to a lesser degree) Kilkenny we're all world beaters and should have been paid 50k a week on 10 year contracts.

They are all GOOD players, but nothing more than that. For all their good points we've looked absolutely incapable of tackling, tracking back & defending in midfield over the last few years, is this not 50% of a midfielders job ?

I like the way we're shaping up, good professionals with a desire to succeed who aren't afraid to stick a tackle in. Add a bit of pace and trickery on the wings and we are 100% competing high up the league.

It's time to welcome and embrace the NEW Leeds side, not get all bitter about those who have moved on.

Howson and Johnson are premier league players now, thats a fact...Green and Austin are CHAMPIONSHIP players,we lost Johnson,Howson and most likely Snodgrass because we haven't moved forward as a club, sometimes as a fanbase we are so fickle, when players leave to better themselves regardless of which pl team they sign for we should just wish them luck not slag them off, they are proffesional footballers doing whats best for them and their families...not supporters like us!

Really not confident of promotion, or to he honest playoffs with the squad Leeds have at the moment. Am hoping with the money thats now come in that Leeds can get a few good players in for the midfield and attack so we can make a push for the top. At the moment we have good first team options but not great depth in some places.

I think the takeover will happen (not going to be, Chelsea or Man City sized, think more Leicester or Southampton sized) but it will be too late for us to use the money in this window so will have to use what we have now

Sorry mate I totally disagree. The squad NW is building is already better than what we've had in the last few years. We need scrappers to get out of this division and we have a manager who has been round the block a few times and knows what is needed to get out of this division.

He is also hoping to add two or three better quality players and I'd rather trust his football knowledge than ours. I understand we want to dream and have Prem quality players but the time for them is when we do get to the Prem. For now I will take 46 hard fought 1-0 victories and win any way possible just as long as we get the requisite points for promotion.MOT Ron

I remember a few weeks ago people saying that if we were offered 3M for Snoddy we'd bite their hand off and I agree with that. I think its a good price and will let NW build a team with experience that will stick around for the whole season. I remember watching Kewell and everyone was saying what an awesome player he was back in the day but he'd go missing on the pitch for days and then show up with one moment of brilliance - I'd much rather have a grafter who's consistent than a once every few games player. I'm fed up with the negativity surrounding a lot of posts since Snoddy jumped ship. There is no correlation between this sale and the impending takeover of our club. Snoddy wanted to go and no-one is bigger than the club. If you are held ransom by one individual player where does that leave the rest of them? The result would be a very unhappy dressing room. If he wanted to go, then I for one am pleased he has gone. The money would be better spent on a few decent hungry signings to replace a player who is looking to move elsewhere. If Snoddy was made to stay he wouldn't give his all and be too scared to get stuck in risk injury which would jepordise his dream move. I think the likes of Green, Varney and Austin will be a breath of fresh air and might even surprise a few of the critics.... well done NW!

David Norris looks set to complete a move to Leeds United by the end of the week, for me this is albeit experienced (oldish) a quality signing, he managed 8 goals in 40 appearances for Portsmouth last season, thats the same goal ratio output as Craig Mackail-Smith for a Brighton last season and he's meant to be a striker, add to the fact he is a hard working combative midfielder I feel we have a bargain. Don't you think he's be calling Snodgrass everything under the sun because he walked out, and calling the fans for ruining another takeover?

If I'm perfectly honest I'm not too bothered about Snodgrass leaving.....yes he is a very good player and was class for us, but just because one player leaves doesn't mean its the end of the world. Beckford was our top scorer for 3 seasons running, he left and we still scored the 2nd highest amount in our first season without him, Leeds United are a team, not an individual person! We can replace him, Warnock should look at Chris Burke from Birmingham, stacks of assists and blessed with pace, would feed Becchio brilliantly in the air. Or even Huseklepp, yes were signing all Pompey players but they are good players, Varney looked really good tonight, won every header and looked quite good on the ball, Ashdown looked solid in goal made a tremendous save, yes it was only Bodmin but you've got to beat what is put in front of you. Jason Pearce has looked solid and confident for us, and he loves this club already you can tell by his desire to win matches!! 3 mill is a lot of money for a Championship club, and with Warnock he'll get what's right for the team we are making good signings and forming a good TEAM!, my dream signing would be Maynard, but looks impossible, but who knows! I'm Leeds until I die, we are going up! Mot. Pickers

Norris signed up pending medical, icing on cake wanted by Warnock next, feeling like we are moving forward, keep this up and i reckon it will be a cricket score against the Shrews. Can't wait, MOT

Not a rumour just my thought...

Firstly if Snodgrass wants to go be a bit part premiership player and not be the captain of well known team around the world then so be it! IMO he went missing in certain games and looked like he'd been out boozing the night before on occasion! however you can not knock his effort that he would put in. It has to be said that around 2-3million for a player with one year left on his contract isnt too bad going really and that money could easily be used to get a player of the same if not better calibre! I agree with many people that Peltier would be a good signing if we can get him in, while Maynard or Baldock from West Ham would be also great! Finally if there one person that we havent really been linked with who i believe would be good at at Leeds its George Boyd, as far as im aware he is in his final year of his contract having rejected a new contract and been transfer listed! From what i have seen of him over the years hes always looked good and got goals in him for an attacking midfield player!

Hi all, not really a rumour but i was wondering if there is a leeds supporters group in the south of england and if so do they travel to ER together? I know its a weird question however i'm 16 and live in southampton, i would love to go to ER most weekends but i rarley get to go as the journey on the train is expensive. I was wondering if there were any other options?

Get Snodgrass out now, he's not Leeds through and through, he's a let down, no passion, just greed. Sick to death of him, get him out!

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Come on now, no need to damn the guy just cos he wants to move on. It's football, it's what happens. You'd take a better job for better money if it was offered to you, wouldn't you? How's this any different.

He's had to deal with a lot over the last 3 years, and now he has a chance to play Prem football, and maybe start getting a regular place on the Scotland team. At his age, why wouldn't he want that over staying at Leeds and trying to gel a completely new team to push for promotion in another season of inflated expectations?!

Ok hes going.its not him going that's worrying me at all.its who the final 4 or 5 players are who are coming in.ive sent enough posts in saying we need quality, that was before snoddy was prob on his way.we have prob 5 or 6 quality players and I'm inc Austin in that but only from what I've heard.thats just nowhere near.its midfield to upfront now where warnock needs to get us excited and confident of agood push.there are a lot of names mentioned whom are again just squad players.lets see, mackie,Maynard,dj Campbell,Danny rose on loan, jay spearing on loan, maybe hulse, beck ford, could we turn Tom inces head at Blackpool.now there's quality.....shrew Leeds.
Surely nobody on here can be confident so far,

Now I've been thinking hard about this tonight.
I feel that Snodgrass has seen the Premiership badge rather than the big picture/vision of LUFC. His loss I think.

Does anyone know how much we are due back from the police?
With £3m, saving on R.S. wages and what we get from the police we should be able to replace R.S. with at least 2 very decent, promotion quailty players.

Good for us, not so good for Norwich I think.

I don't know much about Robbie Rogers, whats he like? Could he be the man to fill Left Wing role?

One last thought - all our greatest teams (including the Champions League team) weren't full of house hold star names really. They were a good blend of players, some rejects which people didn't give a prayer, with a manager who knew what he was doing.
I'm more optimistic now that R.S. has gone and we have a squad of players who want to be here, than I was last night, when we were building a team around a player who wanted to play somewhere else.
Lets all trust Neil, he knows exactly what he's doing and look forward to the good times again.

Hope a Norwich and more importantly a football fan is allowed a comment here - I'm old enough to remember the"great" Leeds side under Don Revie an have the greatest respect for your great club. Since "Bosman" afflicted football all clubs are challenged to succeed or lose their ambitious players for nothing if they allow contacts to run full term - the alternative is to get as much for them as they can in the last year as has happened with Snodgrass. My side has plumbed the depths in the last few years and through great management off the field have consolidated and been fortunate to find a manager in Paul Lambert who has brought us success - I'm realistic enough to know this may not last but throughout this period a team of almost unknown players was put together who worked for each other and the club - Leeds have a manager and a squad fully capable of getting you to the PL in the same way and I wish you well for 2012/13.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Thanks for giving us a side of norwich that we haven't seen which is respectful. I have seen so many poor Leeds fans being annihilated by norwich fans. And you seem a friendly and nice guy but I fear you will struggle without Paul lambert and I'm sorry to say relegation could be on the cards for you this season.

Agree3 Disagree2

Dont be sorry. Relegation will be a real possibility if we stay up for the next 5 seasons....we realise that. I feel disrespect has occured on both sides but hate has only been in one direction. To all Leeds fans, sorry we were promoted, sorry we stayed up, sorry we are just trying to build a better team and so so sorry your board accepted our offers. I still wish Leeds all the best.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

So playing in the Prem and increasing the chances of becoming a Scotland regular is settling for average?

I don't think it's about money at all. He's furthering his career.

Maybe, IF we get promoted next season, he'll look back and think I wish I'd stayed put. Or maybe he'll look back and think that him moving on was what meant we could get promoted. Who knows.

All I know is that we're a team, not a bunch of players, and if its time for him to move on, he should move on.

Personally I think he'll do alright in the Prem. Johnson has, and Howson has too. I wish him well.

Now let's move on.

Maybe we can call snodgrass leaving a new beginning? The amazing midfield four has all gone, but a new one is forming, a tough tackeling midfield that people fear, 'dirty leeds' let's not leave it behind, let's become a team that frightens people and one day maybe snodgrass, howson and Johnson will fear returning to elland road when the mighty Leeds go back to the promised land, we are Leeds! Just a HYPOTHETICAL situation.....If I were a shrewd business man I would buy a club for 'say' next to nothing and with the assets of for instance four players worth say £6mill £750k poss £2mill poss £1mill but did'nt want to spend my own money, I would mortgage out my assets(loans) to run my club in the knowledge that if I did'nt succeed I could sell my assets and pay off my loan.
With this I could pay around £2mill a year rent to a company I have NOTHING to do with........(with me so far) on a Stadium that nobody knows who owns.

I would also get my clubs (MUGS) Supporters to pay up front for season tickets 'say Feb' time, and keep hoping my weak kneed Manager could wing it to the Prem with loan players say!!
With this in mind and the security of my assets, I could sell to keep the creditors at bay and tick over nicely all the way to the riches of the Prem.

The problems start if my yes-man manager can't get me to the Prem. Division and the creditors want some payback..... THINKS!!!! I'll sell an asset say for £6mill to keep the wolves at bay, again to a clubs say like VILLA Mmmmm .
My next problem could be if one of my assets decides to see his contract out say like for an example like Beckford did for Leeds !!!!!Mmmmm coupled with £6mill gone on paying debts......Thinks MMmmmm I know I'll sell my next asset to keep me going say for example Norwich Mmmmm.
Thinks I'M running out of ideas here, if I don't buy players soon I'll be rumbled.......thinks!!!
I'll sell and hope a true leeds fan want's to buy the club.
In the mean time the only asset left wants to jump ship because he lost his nerve playing for a massive club, to become a big fish in a small pond (GOODBY AND THANK YOU)
Along comes a real Leeds fan to unravel the web of s***e left by me and I walk off into the sunset with £60 mill in my pocket knowing it will take weeks to sort that lot out.
THIS IS ONLY AN IDEA I HAD BECAUSE I LOVE MY CLUB TOO MUCH TO WATCH IT GO TO HELL, I WELCOME THE NEW OWNER WHOEVER HE IS, WITH OPEN ARMS AND IMPLORE HIM TO TAKE AS LONG AS NEEDED TO MAKE SURE HE BUYS 100% OF OUR CLUB.

Some of you guys make me laugh! Now all of a sudden snoddgrass is the most hated player in football. Snoddy was the best player at the club last season and now because he's left we hate him. No! I personally didn't want him to go but I can't complain about him going. The club doesn't look like its moving any closer to promotion. And even if it was a little premiership football for Leeds right now looks years away. And in a sense snoddgrass has helped the club as from his sale we now have sufficient funds for good game changing players unlike before. Snodds was good but he was the best in a bad team. I'm sure NOW we can find better players than him but no disrespect to Snoddy.

Well said - my thoughts totally mirror yours! I had similar feelings about Howson, Clayton, gradel, Johnson - All players who looked ok in a very average/poor side.
