Part of Bielsas pre season training plan is to go behind in pre season games and then get the players performing in the second half! 2-0 down, now winning 2-4! Roberts went off injured with his shin! Klich appears to be having good games and scored and Clarke and Edmundson getting goals, Baker also looks to have had a good game and went very close twice!

Roberts starting to night, good to see him having a great game, Pearce with a another chance, viera and Baker still with the B squad. Ideguchi, no squad number but on the bench, the only one of the ones without a number to be involved in preseason!

Would give Ideguchi Extra time and Summer school before deciding to get rid. That is the least we owe to him for all the messing around. I feel embarrassed on behalf of Leeds.

From what I have seen of Diagne he does not impress. Take away his free kicks and penalties then goals from open play are not impressive. I can only see one merit and that is aerial power. That is only any good if the providers are up to scratch. As a goal threat on his own, I have seen better.

Here’s my potential line up vs the potters based on what we have so far ( or hope to have )

Roofe

Can see Hernandez being a victim of the playing style and probably Saiz as well

If we get a striker in Roofe may drop back and replace Saiz. I know, controversial but . that’s how he plays. Alioski ( when upright) is probably more likely to earn a start but he may give Saiz the nod

I can see a couple of departures fairly soon as he’ll only want 4/ 5 extra players

Alioski can cover wing back so I think he’ll be kept

Don’t see many goals off the bench.

I think one of Saiz or Hernandez will make the team, they add that touch of class and the ability to get a goal from nowhere. The defensive flexibility of the lineup should support at least one of them. Off your bench, I can see Roberts making an impression. Good to see him again tonight, perhaps more minutes. It is still early days for him but he showed a bit of pace and some nice touches against Oxford and he is only 19. I am sure he will be in the elite group. Like to see Pearce in there to learn as well, but he hasn’t really leapt out of pre season yet, perhaps more of him tonight.

Yes, seems to be Saiz or Hernandez as both leaves us over run a little

Saiz seems better drifting about behind the striker

If the wing backs are giving the width we can pop another CM in to make a 4 with Phillips rge anchor and Saiz free to roam

I’d like to see Viera given a long run again.

Phillips and Cooper defending worry me big style! IMO they are both red cards waiting to happen. Phillips can never stay on his feet going into a tackle anywhere on the pitch and Cooper should have been stripped of captaincy half way through last season because of poor discipline.

Bamford too lightweight and not good enough, don’t think he would be much of an upgrade on Roofe tbh.

Bamford fee rumoured to be £16m. I personally don't think is worth half of that. We could do a lot better for a lot less.

Think 16mil straight for Bamford is too too much. 9 plus 4 if he gets 25 goals and 2 if we get promoted.

Dont think Klich has done enough for a starting place, Roberts will get game time, probably from the bench at first, but clearly capable of scoring. Phillips will play, Bamford too expensive. But imagine that there are still a few surprises to come!

We should going to for Aden flint . Him and janson would of been good . He is a threat at attacking set pieces as well . 7 mill plus 3 mill for Douglas plus 11 for vydra that takes us to 21 plus 2 or 3 loanees we would be getting there.

Mighty, you're forgetting wages mate, all well and good saying that's how much their fee is, but the wage will also be included. I feel it's more likely to be Douglas, Bamford, and we'll splash the cash on a centre back. Someone like Aden Flint maybe. Can't wait!
