A decent chap, but 38% win rate!

Stability would be great but if we can step up with manager and signings then good luck big Steve, time to go.

Centre back (s) , winger, striker a must so let's appoint quickly and get sorted.

38% is not disastrous using someone else's players.

I like Evans latest comments and hope it brings a response, he and we need to know. And for the record would like him to have at least another year at it. Sick of turmoil.

I agree. But whatever is going to happen needs to be resolved now. We need to be be firing on all Pistons on day one, game one.

One question I hope the Haigh interviewer asks in Part 3 is who da rhymes with luck owns Elland Road?

It won't get asked though because it's an amicable interview not a cross-examination.

I'd like to see Bates get interviewed next.

Yea i think interview bates, that would be interesting. I said in my last posts he definitely knows a lot more than what he's letting on.

You can tell he wants to get back at gfh like they did to him.

Mot onwards and upwards.

Think they're quite busy in the Hague at the moment. Though I'm sure Bates must be on their to do list.

Bates redeveloped the East Stand with executive boxes why would you do that if don't own ER? And who would give him planning permission if he didn't? Bates, GFH, Cellino bad eggs in one basket.

{Ed033's Note - Not surprised, i think Bates is pure live backwards.

What's the problem. WE ALL KNOW who owns Elland Road. He is such a wriggly snake that only a Panorama investigation will find out.

"lots of managers" "someone special" let's just stand back and ask him to define "lots" and "special"
It seems to show that Cellino is living on Planet Ego as I think no one in the real world will go anywhere near him. Anyone with the drive to take on the challenge will demand autonomy.
Power and authority are two commodoties not given up by Massimo. Coupled with his infamous short patience (and fuse) the job is becoming a poisoned chalice to, "lots" of, "special" managers. Whilst I wish for someone who has been there, done it at this level. I fear we are shopping in the bargain basement.

Leodis

You so right. While at it, get Cellino dictionary definitions of these words also

Beautiful as in "beautiful season". 13th, some beauty.

Tomorrow as in "go to the Bank tomorrow to re-purchase Elland Road" 700 days later.

Agreed "I've agreed to sell to the Fans. It is their club"

Raise as in "Raise the bar" for incoming coach hence his telephone call to Karl Relegation Robinson

I so wish I could meet the guy. Give him piece of my mind.

I would, but I just can't spare any. Not that I have that much in the first place. Following my beloved team tends to shred what little sense I was born with. MOT.

Luckily closed season is not a sprint, progress so far - managerial situation could best be described as confused. Player recruitment - none at present. Court cases - lots pending. Improved/ extended player contracts - in limbo. Pre - season planning - planning pending. Season ticket renewal cheques - cashed.
Luckily lots of unemployed managers, out of contract players so no need to panic just yet 😠😠.

Notts

That's my job to quote Blackadder.

It occurs to me Cellino's business model of coach to improve players (who don't need improving because they already professionals) is tantamount to putting wheels on a tomato. Time consuming and completely unnecessary.

70 Managerial changes in the 2015/ 16 4 English league divisions out of 92 teams (a record) so no real surprise we are looking.

Goes to show most managers are in the risk business esp in the lower leagues, maybe that should help us get a decent coach as most will take a risk because they believe they are "special"

Just hope this manager thing gets sorted by weekend as I can't keep spending time reading about all these Leeds rumors!

Why doesn't Cellino just pick a random person off the street. he's ruining us.

He tried but they spoke English and had a mind of their own.

Don't get me wrong this is not an anti MC rant.
BUT
What is going on with the managers (coach) position, you either shake his hand and bid him good luck elsewhere or back him up and let him get on with the job, all this supposed search for a new better coach but we will hold on to Evans just in case we get turned down by others - Difficult to see why nobody wants the job :- (

Believable2 Unbelievable0

26 May 2016 11:23:14
Fact is that Evans is under contract until end of June, MC is quite within his rights to keep him working even if he is looking at other options, what if Evans turned down a new contract. Makes sense to have a scout around before renewing, you would in any other business before renewing a contract so why not football.

Agree1 Disagree2

26 May 2016 13:38:34
True - but this is football and there is nothing to say Evans won't turn around on July 1st and say thanks but no thanks.

My point was that if we are looking for a new coach let's do it, at this point it's not clear what we want and that can't be a good thing for any prospective incoming coach or fair on Evans who under the circumstances has done a pretty good job. (Hardly gives room for confidence of what support you will get taking any new position)

We are basically peeing about and at this rate may not have it resolved before the Euros, leaving little time for whoever is in the hot seat - bad planning.

Could be worse teams like the Magpies and Villa are quick off the starting blocks and have "recognised" managers in place or very close to.

26 May 2016 14:24:11
Maybe true Ox, but he should make his employee know that he's going to replace him instead of keeping him in the dark then publicly humiliating him.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2016 15:42:44
Don't disagree Deda just saying exactly the same happens in business, just it is not public usually.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2016 16:21:08
The point surely is that even if iSE is out of contract at the end of June then tell him his contract is not being renewed and then speak with other managers and if MC wants to ask him to carry on working until his contract ends then at least he knows where he stands so he can look for other work. It is the shocking way he treats decent employees that gives him and us the poor reputation we now have around the world.
