Westwood for economy reasons. He can bring Reach along with.

27 Dec 2018 21:34:07
Wanted us to sign Westwood years ago, and I’d still take him now, George.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 21:56:26
I agree Westwood. Only one problem. Will he be match sharp? I remember him at Carlisle and thought he was going to be a class act.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 22:03:55
Quite like Darlow, (great shot stopper, crosses needs work on) but really rate Christian Walton on loan from Brighton to Wigan, England u19 keeper honestly think he could play at the highest level and wouldn’t be silly money as Brighton very strong with keepers.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 22:28:49
2nd that bright.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 22:36:39
Think Westwood highly unlikely now George, temp manager has played him for windies last two games which they’ve won. He’s quality though, no doubt asbus Reach.

I can't stop watching that Roofe headed goal winner. What a leap! What a connection! He starting to look like a bargain to me!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Dec 2018 17:26:32
He's taken stick over previous 2 seasons too brighty.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 17:35:43
There's no doubt Roofe's fitness and athleticism have improved. He really is a lovely player and on 🔥 right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 17:55:49
Don’t forget the ball from Hernadez . He knew where Roofe would be. Tremendous work from him and probably dead on his legs!

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 18:40:58
Great cross Spanish but all in all I thought Hernandez was pretty wasteful with the ball for his standard. He gave it away a lot as did foreshaw.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 20:49:25
Martyn, Hernadez worked incredibly hard but everything u til the cross for the goal didn’t quite come off, mms away sometimes. But he keeps going and he always has a killer ball, cross or goal in his locker. I think he could benefit from a little break, a half of.

Martyn hope the football is bringing a bit of joy into your tough situation and it goes as well as it can. It’s tough when the folks are older and iller than we want to remember them.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 22:02:46
I agree about Foreshaw in particular. I’m not saying he’s playing bad but last two games he’s been fairly wasteful in possession at times. He’s still very effective though.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Dec 2018 09:15:00
All I mend Spanish is he was wasteful for his standards. He always works hard to retrieve it. It's prob the hardest time of the season with the games coming like they are. Hope bubs giving the lads a break and working on classroom tactics a bit more inbetween as this is where we will see burn out if were going to see it.

love this site, met people from here who i now considered dear freinds, love the banter (so many funny people on this site) and the opinions. It really is a great site and a chance for me to be able to discuss the club i love with likeminded people

such a shame when it gets personal, nasty or rude glad its all in the past and as they say MOT.

Yesterday it was an absolute privilege to be at Elland Road! Incredible! And I woke up at 5am this morning worrying about how tired Pablo must be! Then my mind turned to the bench yesterday aside from Baker, Davies, Gotts, Clarke, Aapo, Huffer and Shackleton, who would have predicted that in the summer! Bielsa, and the coaches have worked miracles with the resources available!

Pablo is incredibly important to us, yesterday he worked so hard and things didn't quite come off but he was still fit enough to get the cross in for Roofe.

Alioski has come good over Christmas and given us two of his best games.

Harrison put in a good shift yesterday that really helps.

For Hull, can we play Baker and Aapo for the first half and give Hernadez and Klich at least a half off or more if it looks good. If Baker can give us a few good halves, it will really help the team.

In Jan, need some cover for Hernadez if Brown isn't ready. Even a few more Baker and Harrison type loans will just strengthen the squad and give us a few more options.

I agree, wing and creative midfield support required. I would also include a goalkeeper (for competition) and a centre back (if I was being greedy)

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 13:26:28
Agree Notts, I assumed goalie. Happier with the centre backs options, Aapo and Diaz / Struick if necessary.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 16:39:25
They are going to be tired after this period, for me I’d put the whole of the u23’s out for the cup game if they pull off a win great, if not don’t give a toss get out of that cup this season the quicker the better!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Dec 2018 17:04:21
If we put all the U23's in for the cup tie what would those wonderful, fair-minded, unbiased administrators down south at the FA, FL, EFL etc do to us? Whatever it would be I am sure they would relish the opportunity.

Thinking time
To rotate a couple
Players on Saturday . Good to see halme start maybe bring Clark and Shackleton in to starting line up . Need to keep the run going but after the last couple of draining matches I dunno how much the boys going to have left in the tank.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Dec 2018 13:28:11
Agree mighty, need to give Hernadez and Klich a break. Baker needs to give us some time and Aapo can be trusted to move KP further up and allow a bit of a break. Shakleton and Ayling can share a shift!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 16:26:11

Any info or updates on fitness of Shaughnessy, Parker and Roberts would be greatly appreciated. We have lost 2 from the original squad, Saiz and Blackman, who both need replacing . Give Cibicki a game in the Cup . If Shaughnessy is fit and not injured and like Cibiki not in MB plans he needs replacing along with Cibicki at end of January . that's four players to strengthen the squad. Would love to see 2 like Scott Hogan and Adomah added also. Some shrewd investment now even if it is just the promised Saiz fee of £6m would make such a big statement. Not forgetting we still have Bamford, Browne, Dallas, Beradi and Cooper to come back.

Cardif, buffets and Burnley. Think the tinkerman will drag Fulham back from the death.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 00:54:59
Wow, what an amazing late result, this team just keep going and sure down to bielsa's pre season fitness regime.
All tough games and Hull playing well, griseki a decent player and can be dangerous.
For me, I prefer to see Kp in the middle and would play Halme, now wanting coops to get back. Pontus was immense again and deserves a quality partner
BPF has done well for most part and good at passing out from the back but makes mistakes and that free kick shouldn't have happened, bad positioning. He also doesn't fill me with confidence with balls into box. My wish list for a #1 be Frazier Forster, Heaton or darlow. They could help him for the next couple of seasons.
Is Izzy ever going to be fit and Bamford seems injury prone, I still feel 3 additions needed, GK, creative midfield/ winger and striker ( Llorente? )

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Dec 2018 10:13:37
Shadwell, 100% agree, up to a point

I would rather sign an explosive winger (in the mould of Traore of Wolves) than a creative midfielder

From the matches I have seen I don't think Biesla's way is to get a classy player on to the ball and "unlock" the opposition's defence. To me he is looking to push the ball around quickly and accurately and in so doing shift the opposition defence around until they lose their shape. At that point the attacking players pounce

To me, Saiz was not as effective this year whilst Kilch (a much more athletic player) has been.
I would prefer to use Henandez, Phillips, Forshaw, Kilch, Alioski and Shakleton and Baker for the remainder of this season. They deserve to give promotion a go for how they have improved this season

However, if we do make it to the promised land I would love to see Milner, Delph and Cook be recalled from their "long loans" to bolster the midfield ranks.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 10:21:49
Oh oh oh

Just had a thought regarding that pacy winger.

How is Aaron Lennon doing at Burnley?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 16:32:55
I think Lennon's doing the same as Wood and Taylor, sweet FA! ! !

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 19:38:05
I think Lennon, playing on the adrenaline of a return to Elland Road, would be an excellent 4-5 month asset

Not sure if he would be worth a punt at Premiership level but not many defenders in the championship could handle him

Oh oh oh. Wood? He was never overawed at ER. How about 4-5 months of him on the bench for some last-quarter, route 1 football.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2018 22:20:47
Ah, we're Leeds United, we don't do route 1 :) Plan A or Plan A but better.
