Is there a cut off point for Pontus's yellow cards or does the banning threat hang over him right to the end?

37 league matches for 10 cards, last game of the season for 15.

Thanks Alf. This will be the the last straw then that stops us getting to No. 6. We all know Pontus cannot go 12 games without a yellow, bless him.

As I have said before if we don't get promoted this year we be starting petty much from scratch and putting a team together like that (in one season0 is nigh on impossible. If Saiz and jansson go along with lassoga the only player good enough to get us up is Forshaw the rest are average at best. We have plenty of midfielders but only one is good enough. That's why we are constantly over run in midfield and we don't create enough. Goalkeepers? Enough said. Back four? Beradi. A great trier good biut not very good. Cooper. Average at best. De Bock. Don't think sdo. Midfield? O'Kane, Phillips, Vierra, Not good enough. He should come on but now average. Wide? Dallas Good average. Alioski - not bad when Saiz is playing but still average. Sacko. Pacy but no finish. Hernandez. Quality player but inconsistent and getting on a bit. Chisbiki. Seems average at best. Up front. - Lassoga. Excellent finisher. Technically better than Wood. Give him the ball in the box and he will score more times than not. Doubt whether he will stay. Ecuban ? Runs around a lot. The team? Overall not much there.

Ayling at RB could make it, U23's might throw up a surprise . What you say above about who is good enough is about right, We do have a number of squad players who can act as cove for a number of games . We need to strengthen the spine and a couple of wingers . With the best of what we have it would make a decent squad, 6 or 7 quality additions are needed if we are to be realistic

Jansson is on a 3 year contract and Saiz on a 4. if they go anywhere it will be on our terms.

I think (and hope) that both will be here next season for the big push. Like you say Alf, they are tied to contracts that have plenty of time left. Let's see how loyal they can be to a club that has stood by them. I think they will be loyal.

Not sure how we have stood by jan and saiz but hope they stay. Prob won't but are both $20 mill players. Its a bit unfair criticizing a goalkeeper who I've seen catch the ball at least once in 10-12 games! I take exception about the berahdi being average. Every team needs a player that will leave it on the pitch. We should try him in midfield next to foreshaw. I do fear for next year. As me and the george have said all year. This is a poor league. Next year will be heaps better and harder to get out.

Why do people keep saying it's going to be harder next season? Two of the three that came down last season are relegation fodder and the other one is not top six, and the teams likely to come down at the end of this season aren't exactly going to set the championship alight are they?

I see us getting £25-30m if Saiz and Jansson decide to leave. If Radriazzini keeps both and invests £10m in first-team players in the summer then I honestly see us in the play-offs/fighting for promotion. If we can find £4m GK as good as Forshaw is in midfield and a CB the same then I see us there. move out O'Kane and I think we are there if we keep everyone we need to. I'd assess Ideguichi in the summer before a new midfielder is bought, though I feel I'd like an enforcer type to give the defence some protection. I wish we still had Bridcutt tbh as him and Forshaw would have been formidable imo. I'd lose Cibicki too and unless Sacko shows something between now and the end of the season then him too. I see Vieira really stepping up next season and some first team minutes for some of the U23s surely. Don't forget Roberts injury means he will be like a new signing hopefully before the end of the season. Wilks is scoring goals in his loan spells. At a lower level yes but it at least suggests he is worth a proper look in pre-season. Bailey Peacock-Farrell Temenuzhkov, Tom Pearce, Matty Downing, Halme, Struijk, Jack Clarke, and Sam Dalby all sound like players who could be worth a shot between now and the end of the season once/if play-offs become impossible. I feel its really important to gauge the actual first-team readiness of some of the players in the next three months to better ascertain depth.

Will we make the playoffs. I truly do not know as I think to a large extent it is out of our hands. Yes we must put a run together but that is not enough we are already reliant on other teams slipping up and fearfull of another outsider coming on a late charge as they always do. Please God it is us this year. I am slowly slipping into the camp of play for next year, with all decisions dictated by making 18/19 our season.

Its completely out of our hands as we are currently not in the playoff positions. However, with 12 to play it is a fair bet those above us will drop points so we have to try to make sure that we do not.

All we can do is collect our points, and watch the others, but I still have a sneaky feeling we can make it.

Agree with Bright, we only have 3 teams to play that are above us whilst the top 6 have to play one another so, we still might sneak in :) ALAW

pressure will start to affect the teams in the playoffs fairly soon and that can do funny things to their results - wait and see.

I am getting a little frustrated at the connections we seem to be getting with incoming players. The latest being Tom Rogic (again) . I have nothing against Rogic or many of the others it just seems that every second one is a midfielder and I argue; do we need another midfielder and what is this saying to our current crop and the "ones for the future" in the U23s. If you pair a newbie with Foreshaw then what about Ideguchi, Philips, Viera x 2,Bouy, Stevens, Shaugnessy etc, etc. I have many times said we could pretty much field a team of midfielders. You can't keep them all happy. Already some must be thing, will I ever get a chance. Journos if you are speculating then please let it be a quality FB or CB or more importantly GK. Stop with the Midfielders will you.

The Problem is tho the midfielders we have at the moment aren't good enough bar Forshaw it may not not be palatable with others on this site but for me Phillips, O'kane need moving on we need bigger stronger midfield for this league and midfielders who can regular chip in with goals, Vieira for me needs taking away from the first team his form is shocking and needs building his confidence back up in the under 23s on top of that we do need a quality left back and a far better keeper, but with players on long contracts it could be hard to move them on chances are as well we could be without Siaz and Jansson next season so your basically starting all over again.

Klitsch or whatever his spelling is, is also getting some good game time on loan at the mo, and will probs come back to a clean slate under Hecky at the end of the season. Formation 1-9-1 anyone?

Just had a look at Fulhams last 10 games last year they got 20 points so not such a magnificent run, we really did collapse. So my point is this is all still to play for 5 wins a on the bounce will project us up the table and it could be in our hands once more. Come on dirty Leeds😎

Only if the other teams lose Dougie. Realistically we could win every game from now till end of season and draw against any above us but if others above us win and draw against us then it's out of our hands
