Let Charlie go not £6 mill tell everyone who actually wants him even though there's no bids its £10 mill even though don't actually think he worth anywhere near that let him go and bench warm somewhere.

Hi guys, news poster but have been "spying" on you guys for ages - just want to add my 2 pence worth on Taylor - there is no point in keeping him if he wants to go to the bright wage packets of the premier (even if it is to a small no hope of a trophy club) think we should take the money and run - Rico Henry of Walsall would be a good replacement but I still think another center half is a must - that's assuming any money for Taylor goes where it should into the team but so far I'm feeling oddly optimistic which is weird for a Leeds fan.

Welcome Kray. Good debut post.

yeah taylor is one of best in league but can be replaced and I would settle for a slightly weaker left back if we can get in the all important cb that we really need.

Are there any scouts currently working for Leeds? And I don't mean Cellino who seems to believe he is one! We seem to be interested in a few who we were after last season.
Makes me wonder if MC has anything to gain or does he just rate himself as a talent spotter?!

Armand traore available on a free. Decent left back. Then sell Taylor and get Ricoh or whatever his name is. Then we have two left backs and money left over.

I think like a lot on here we haven't spent anywhere near enough so far to get close to promotion.
So here is my Limerick to say how I'm feeling.
My club has an owner named Mass.
Who told me the bad times would pass.
He's been here for years.
I'm still shedding tears.
I think he blows smoke up my ass! 😜.

For what its worth if the wages were the same, it would be better to stay with Leeds a year or two and gain promotion with Leeds to the prem than to go to one of the lesser clubs in the prem . As with them you might not be in the prem to long . I think Johnson Beckford Bechio Howson Snoddy Cook Byram would all have been far bigger stars with a successful Leeds team in the prem than with the clubs they went to . Just we cannot guarantee when we will get there. Still think we need 3 or 4 more players brought in to have a serious go.

The likes of Taylor annoy me all he's doing is putting it out that he has no interest in being at Leeds. No bids or approach for him yet he is saying stuff the club that made me. I could understand his not signing a contract if there has been an offer but he could easily sign a contract with a release clause.

You talk sense bro. It's his agent. The more interesting contracts are not playing agreements with clubs but agreements between player and agent. At this point Taylor is owned by his agent. I can see bids coming in for Taylor by the end of the week. Byram all over again.

27 Jul 2016 16:50:06
Yes George but it's Taylor who employs the agent not the other way round. Do football players take any responsibility these days it's always the clubs fault or the agents.

Players don't employ agents as such, they engage them and one of the standard terms is once a player's valuation goes up and is considered PL quality if the agent claims he is able to procure a high money transfer the player must yield to the agent's wishes else face a law suit for breach of contract and associated losses.

If that's true George, then the world is even madder than I thought it was! 😱😱😱.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 21:15:36
Are you sure about that George. An agent can force a player to move.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 21:24:36
Agents. I believe that Pogba's agent will get $25 million of the $100 million. They are leeches in the same category as drug dealers. I don't mind if they make 2-3% and work hard, but 25% is crazy. No wonder the real fans prefer the lower leagues to the PL and all the Greed-Is-Great attitudes.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 21:30:51
George don't think it works like you say otherwise the player would be a slave so can't see it myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 21:55:47
It's true guys. Think about it. When was last time a player declared his loyalty to a club and vetoed a move due to love for club? Once the bids come in, a transfer becomes inevitable. It's due to agent power. Power given to them in contract. It's not illegal and it's not slavery. What's a player going to say to an English Judge? I'm a slave because my agent can increase my salary by a multiplier of 5 so I'm filing a law suit due to untold hardship?

Besides, I've seen some of the contracts dudes. No up and coming valuable player like Taylor wants to be disloyal to his agent when big money about to be made.

Lambert went from Southampton to liverpool cause he said he'd had a boyhood ambition to play for them, so expressing some delight about the transfer . Didn't hear cook saying the same thing when he went to Bournemouth. So I think there is still some desire to show commitment to one club, or at least a desire to play for them .

Might be controversial, but I'd get rid of Charlie Taylor now. Was great last season, but clearly wants to go. Repeat of the Sam situation. If we don't sell him now we'll end up selling him for less at Christmas. And my guess he won't be as good this year if his heart isn't in it.

100% agree speedy. Don't like losing young talent and if he's attracted by the £'s in the prem then MC should cash in ASAP.

27 Jul 2016 12:48:45
Yep. See you Charlie Taylor. Spend the cash!

odd but I agree with speedy and wex. I love charlie and think he is prem quality and sam byram and fit to lace charlies boots, but sell get rid replace and move on. charlie deserves prem and we dersvre a player who wants to be there and a fee worthy of the player we are selling.

27 Jul 2016 15:14:14
Couldn't agree more with you all. Should have sold him a while ago. At least we may have had a decent chance of a good replacement.

We should sell him now and buy the young lad from Walsall.

Morning people, I see we are linked with Pritchard, this in my opinion along with Bridcutt returning would be the most important signings so far, I know we have a similar player in Mowatt but Pritchard is more versatile and I believe they could play together in the 4231 which I think will be GMs preferred formation, unfortunately I don't think we have any chance of competing for his signature unless GM can brainwash him into signing for us and Massimo's incredibly tight wallet, just can't see it happening, much like the takeover bid from matey 8.2 billionaire boy! What does everyone think? And who's got a QPR ticket, I have a restricted view but don't really care it's going to be a great day out in London with the TVWhites.

noth good players and both imporant but I am crying out for a decent centre back. and ronaldo he would do pretty nicley as well. ronaldo and wood there is a paring.

27 Jul 2016 12:51:32
McCs tight wallet? Yeah. Wish he spent as much as gfh and the old bearded git. what planet are you on. He maybe sensible on wages as arsenal have always been but he has spent more than most!

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Jul 2016 13:34:08
we need to get someone half decent in quickly - we haven't spent nearly as much as we made from cook, the squad is looking very light and we are running out of preseason fast. after a positive start on the 7th its looking more and more uncertain now. i'm losing faith fellow whites.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 15:55:14
Clearly on a more sensible planet to yours Aus! Couldn't disagree with you more, If Cellinos wage structure was sensible we wouldn't have lost Byram, cook now Taylor, there will be more to follow for sure, unless we get to the premier league where they all would like to play, so even more important that MC pays the going rate for quality players, you don't get anywhere unless you look after your staff and he clearly isn't doing that financially! Equally trying to get somebody of Bridcutts quality in for nothing and pay him a quarter of his normal wage ain't going to cut it is it. Its fine to be getting 11 mil for mcbadgekisser, 6 mil rising to 10 for cook 3 mil for Byram, but you have to be bringing in quality and that requires paying a decent fee and wages for key players in key areas that's going to make a difference and get us out of the championship! No I'm quite happy here on planet earth, say hello to Planet Pluto for me aussie 😂 😎.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jul 2016 05:48:11
You could offer Taylor Byram etc more money and they'd still go. It's prem league against champ. My argument was saying he was tight. Being careful who you pay what is sensible. Give Taylor more money but he still goes!
And it's Sunderland asking too much for bridcutt. Haven't seen villa cough up the dosh either
Maybe you do need to splash the cash in key areas for a really good striker and game changing midfielder but Taylor and bridcutt are neither.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jul 2016 07:16:47
Aus I'm led to believe that Sunderland want 1.5 for Bridcutt I think that's a steal for a player like Bridcutt, you saw what he added to the team last season, massimo doesn't want to pay that, he wants him for free, so we will miss out on him shame because he wants to come back here! Byram cook and Taylor have had their heads filled with premier league from their agents told them they are good enough how much money they can earn etc, so it's inevitable really that their heads have turned, or maybe they just can't buy into our vision of the premier league status because I'm 100% positive that if they felt that we were about to gain promotion this season they would all still be here.
