Im ready to be shot down here but if its true that cellino has ripped up contract of head before he's started he could be in the right? The contract I believe had to be counter signed by cellino? So when asked where was he and told he had gone on holiday right at the time he would of been needed for potential transfer targets? Cellino thought ok wheres the desire to get straight down to the job he's paid to do? Not come back with a tan aftet best options have been snapped up??

In theory agree with you, but most of the players, management teams, agents and coaches will also be on leave. And I am not sure if this chap was planning on leave this week, but its half term (I have kids) and frankly speaking, 30% of the working public are on leave.

Anyways, its not like we would have signed / recruited anyone who hasn't been vetted by MC himself. I just don't see us signing anyone that should be at the club, rather than who MC wants at the club.

My point is regardless of the fact if we have a head of recruitment, he isn't going to be able to scout anyone, most players (and agents) will be exploring and keeping options for the best deal, most playing / working staff will be on leave after a long season.

And even if we did manage to get into discussions with players these will be stretched out so long, until MC decides if the chap will potentially be earning too much/ will be a crowd favourite (includes previous "cult heroes") hence take the onus off himself/ made sure he is not English / British (has English / British grand parents/ made sure there isn't a viable alternative in Serie B / made sure there isn't a viable option in every other league except the English ones / a contract is put together that would mean MC would have to pay out as little as possible.

You get my drift

Do agents go on holiday? When a player is on holiday is he not open to listening to offers? Is outr manager chairman on holiday .? Who says everyone is on holiday?Dies a holiday mean you ain't open to do business? The answer is NO to all them questions . Everyone is entitled to a break but unlike teachers in the real world away from your desk don't mean you're not available . Bournemouth have made 4 signings this week ,so they ain't on holiday ,just planning for next season .

Another positive about the F.B.I. taking the lead, the American prosecuters are keen to "cut a deal" for someone to spill the beans in return for a lighter sentence. There could be more squealing than seen in bacon factory and we may have answers to matters such as the awarding of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, how on earth did david beckham get a game at the 2006 World Cup but what is more of a mystery is what happened to the £29.1 million paid by Manchester for Rio Ferdinand.

Becchio Becchio Becchio.

I for one wouldn't mind trying to re-kindle the Beckford and Becchio partnership.

Stick a couple of wingers in and the youth we have. Premiership here we come.

On a serious note, I did an exercise last season, where I built a premiership and championship side full of released players. Its going to be fun this year

Leeds could look to bring in Ferdinand, Barton or Shaun wright Phillips for free as they have just been released. I definitely wouldn't want all of them, any one of them would bring good experience

Even by MC's 'standards', surely the story of Pearson's new Head of Recruitment being sacked is an eight-week-late April the 1st? Someone is certainly a fool here. IF true then people must be equally foolish, or desperate, to join LUFC. do yourselves a favour and join another club until MC leaves.

There was no statement from the club as far as I know that we ever signed this Steve Heard! I think it is a wind up! However, if Um wrong I'll hold up my hands. MOT.

A more realistic story would be that he didn't hire him due to a pre-arranged holiday Head was planning on taking.

I remember back to last season when he was harping on about 20 or so days holiday (terms of the contract) and players expecting to train during the "close season". Where the whole Rosco fuss stemmed from.

I stand by it, MC just doesn't understand the English game enough and most of all how to run and English side.

Yes I understand that he wants to get straight into recruitment for next season.
Yes I understand he wants the players to prep for next season.
And yes I understand that he pays the wages and can enforce what ever he wants within the limits of agreed contracts and employment laws.

He is learning, and the hiring of a new management team shows that, but he just has to take a step back and let the chaps who have been in the English game a long time, run the club.

Dear oh dear, just when things were looking up, the Ego lands again with another great bit of PR. If Head had a holiday booked, Pearson must've known about it and sanctioned it. All this does is undermine Pearson. Maybe mad man Cellino is already getting jealous of Pearson's popularity. Would be nice to see what all the Cellino lovers make of this, the latest in another one of Cellino's f**k ups.

Can only agree Mick we seem to take one step forward and two back, for the first time in Years we were getting things done in the right way, this chap seemed to have a very good background and decent experience at established clubs, and surely not a surprise that he had a holiday booked in the off season. By now not recruiting him the process has to start again and two things could now happen one we don't find somebody as good and secondly if we do it would probably take two weeks to get him which means we could have had the first bloke after his holidays. It must bloody hard to be employed by MC, he certainly if this is true continues to make us a laughing stock and actually I believe keeps making bad decisions too often, although pleased with the Adam Pearson and Rosler decisions.

Forty years ago today Leeds United were cheated out of their second major European trophy inside two years. Forty years later to the day the corrupters of the beautiful game finally get what they deserve. I only hope the enquiry widens out and snares Blatter. Something very satisfying that this should all unfold on this particular date.

It doesn't take a genius to work out what the result of the F.B.I. arrests of the FIFA executives will be.

A three year transfer embargo and a twenty points deduction for Leeds United F.C.

{Ed001's Note - apparently as Don Revie managed the UAE, that establishes that Leeds are also at fault for the Qatar bid, as they are in the same region, so the penalties could be far beyond that. They are considering the death penalty for anyone from the Bermondsey area who is caught wearing a Leeds shirt or mentioning a support of the team. I think we can all agree that is a fair punishment.....}
