Surely this MUST be the final nail in the Alioski coffin. With a non contribution game it was even topped by a pathetic, not in the Adryan league but embarrasing nonetheless. Clarke gave us with with a threat everytime he got the ball and his error in not putting Saiz through will sometimes happen playing youngsters but the only way they/ he will learn is to get back on the pitch and go again. just like riding a bike.
I felt sorry for Baker, poor lad, I am sure he is not that bad. Certainly Bielsa must not think so as he gave him a chance. Trouble is he got a rare start and could not handle it. The boy has not pulled up any trees since his arrival. I would certainly suggest he gets back into the U23s and shows MB what he can really do.

Got to agree, Alioski stinks or team out. He needs time on the bench. I trust in Bielsa but surely be can see what we do . Clarke surely has earned his start, get Alioski out!

agree diving was a disgrace. clarke made bad descions and looked knacared after 30 mins but offered more and don't think he is tom daley.

Have to agree, Alioski needs dropping, If he had stayed on his feet and gone full in to the challenge he may have got a penalty, but his fall was pathetic. Another nerve shredding game, but three points. Not been Dallas's biggest fan but credit tonight where it is due, a better performance and a winning goal! But last but not least, well done to BPF for a brilliant save, that should really be good for his confidence. Let's now go to Bramall Lane and come away with something.

Alioski, not the first player who has done something stupid, warn him not to do it again and move on.

Clarke, let’s not expect too much of him too quickly . I’ve mentioned when I’ve seen him play at under 23 matches, he looks absolutely knackered at the end of games and he has only been playing halves recently. He needs to work on his fitness and build. He’s exciting, skillful but raw. The missed pass to Saiz is nothing to worry about, he’s still learning to play with these players. Still think him playing a half is no bad thing. Alioski or Harrison can give us the other half.

I thought we did dominate the game but we’re not making the most of the domination. Got to put more of these chances away.

Thought Dallas had a better game and looks to be settling into the role but still getting forward enough to score. KP looks good enough in that role.

What really shines through is the teamwork and determination of the squad and coaching team. Tonight a back four including Dallas and Phillips, Clarke and Shackleton playing most of the second half and Baker started. That’s Bielsa really using the resources available to him.

Great for Bailey and that could just be a key moment in our season!

On a separate note. Anyone else read collymore’s dumb ass comments referring to the new sky deal. Saying the championship is a second rate product and teams like Leeds, villa, derby etc are failures.
Has he watched games between palace and Burnley or Brighton v Huddersfield for example.
He’s a right tool.

He doesn't know what the ball is blown up with, and he never has a good word for Leeds. He isn't worth the time of day.

We did not steamroller a lowly team but overall, whilst not impressing, we deserved the three points. We did not dominate and that was shown in the feeling that One goal did not look enough and but for a magnificent penalty save would not have been. The one positive that did shine was our ability to see out a slender lead.

leodis, it would seem according to posts on here we are expecting to steamroller every team we play, then when this doesn’t happen they make every excuse in the book, we are not as good as they think we are, every game is a challenge top to bottom, any help we get given is welcome no matter where is comes from be it playing against 10 men, or eleven, We do need additional players hopefully very soon, stop kicking Alioski, BHP, KP everyone they are what we got get on with it. A slender lead is all we are going to get. hopefully this will do.

I agree whiteman, we do have to take whatever advantage that presents itself. We are having lots of possession but as you say are not as great as we think, WBA proved that. We are doing what we can with the tools we have at present and maybe this is down to a good man manager type of coach that Bielsa seems to be. This league is still so close to call and in order for us to break away we need something extra, this could be the injured players coming in or strengthening with one of two new faces. Let's however enjoy the moment as plenty more challenges ahead.

Here I was thinking OMG going to drop 2 points to a poor team and up steps BPF to keep that penalty out. I don't think we was attacking them enough in the first half especially. How good is it to have a coach who will make changes when required . The positives are that we aren't playing great but we got 6 points as required from the last two games. 10 points from last 15 is a good return and hopefully we can keep it up till our injuries issues get better or we buy in Jan. IMO, Coops Pablo Dallas best for us tonight and BPF for that 2 point save.

Thought in the first 90 seconds my Douglas to score dream had come true. Not a great game but all that matters is the 3 points. We will need to be better against Sheffield United on Saturday. Hopefully some of the injured will be back.

Pleased with the team we are fielding tonight, think they have both the firepower and the defensive strength to get past Reading. Interested to see how Baker gets on and if KP drops back a bit.

This time last season this type of game would be a potential banana skin. I expect us to win but with Leeds nothing is straight forward. As usual I was at the game against Bristol. Until the sending off I thought I was watching two middle of the table teams with Leeds been a few places up. let's see if we can create and score tonight. There is no game in this division where you just have to turn up to win.

To finish top 2 this seasons we need 3 new players in Jan who are at a level to be in the starting 11

Goalkeeper
Centre Half - allows a true back 3 if needed
Goal striker.

I'm going to be brave tonight and say 3-1.
I little bird is telling me that we find out shooting boots tonight and if that's the case it could be 5-1.
Just hope we move ball forward quicker and try and Catch them out of formation. So many teams sit back and wait for one of our many many passes to go astray.

Well basing my prediction on the views that we beat Bristol because they were crap and Reading are 4 places and 5 points behind them i will go 3-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2018 11:35:00
I agree. Bristol were crap with 10 or 11 players. Never going to beat us.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2018 11:39:57
I think we may have a few more on target tonight and so scoring 3 sounds right, depends on defense, we will probably concede at least 1.
As long as we pick up 3 points all will be good in the hood.

I am going 2-1 to us. I reckon they will park the bus.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2018 14:14:42
I don’t think Reading are good enough to park the bus and stop us scoring for 90 mins. We’ll beat them, by how many, possibly depends on how early we get a goal. If we get an early go we could go on to a good win, let’s go for 4-1 on the basis they seem more likely to score than Bristol in recent games. But tonight I’ll settle for 1-0, three points, no injuries and a side ready for sat.
