How much more money is cellino's actions going to cost us? £300 k for Gibbs. Lucy ward damages money.
Enterprise taking us to court, macron taking us to court.
Shall I go on?
The man is a liability full stop. This money should be going towards tying Taylor and cook to new contracts.
Not down the drain. Someone please come forward and buy the club off this lunatic before he buries us for good.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

28 Apr 2016 18:36:16
It's not really "cost us " it's more cost himself as it's his club.

Agree1 Disagree6

28 Apr 2016 18:38:08
I couldn't agree more. I wonder how he justifies to himself, family and colleagues his behaviour/ decision making and the consequent huge financial costs and reputational damage to the club. A major embarrassment as a minimum if not an utter disgrace.

Agree1 Disagree2

28 Apr 2016 19:11:02
His decision making has made him a billionaire . If he takes us back to the premiership and keeps us there I don't care if he upsets a few people on the way there.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he is not a billionaire.}

28 Apr 2016 19:37:27
That depends on where you look ed and being worth somewhere in the region off 750 to 800 million he's not far off.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - his family is worth that, not him.}

It is costing us not Cellino. Club lawyers and club fees. This will come out of club funds not Cellino's possible pocket. This will go on to our accounts. Some people saying he's sorted the debts of the club, his actions are adding to them. More to come. Would rather have essential staff at the club than pay off court cases lost because of the liability of an owner.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Apr 2016 19:50:10
Ah he hasn't a bob so.

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - you really do not get it anyway, he has made himself and his family rich but not his clubs. Plenty of bankers made themselves rich but only a moron would think that makes them a good choice to run a football club. Cellino will do what is best for him and heap any debts on the club rather than on himself.}

28 Apr 2016 20:00:13
But that's a negative outlook I am sure he doesn't want to bust our club I'm sure he wants to make a success of our club even if its just to sell for profit.

Agree2 Disagree1

28 Apr 2016 20:07:09
And these things happen in most business takeovers any new owner of a business wants his own people working there and in lots of business takeovers there are unfair dismissal cases which are lost by new owners.

not ideal but better than bates and gfh again roll up roll up a better buyer if out there we would be very grateful until then I guess we will have to make do love and support our club.

Cellino "SAVED OUR CLUB" when we were half way down the drain and know one else gave a SH$T about us. I agree with most of the comments and YES, he is a MADMAN but I am still grateful for all he has done for us. GOOD or BAD.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Apr 2016 00:18:43
It's mainly his money in the club. True could be better spent but so could money smokers spend on cigs their entire life. Can't see anybody standing up and asking to buy the club. what happens on the pitch is what counts!
It's his club. It's his money. Up to him how he spends it.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Apr 2016 00:35:55
Cellino is estimated to be worth 750 mill, that's money that's been audited. Its family money in as much that family members are ceos etc, ie eleonara, but at the end of the day its his money. No one knows for sure how much people like him abramovich, tan etc are worth exactly. let's say he's mot skint. And yes it costs the club, goes on yheir accounts but whose money is keeping us afloat, does anyone honestly believr cellino will risk going bust. Hear the same thing over and over. He can sack who he wants. Maybe300 grand was cheaper than keeping him. Who knows why he does the things he do. He will build the club the way he wants it, as long as we progress he can hire and fire who he wants. Mother theresa could own us and we would still get bad press.

Agree2 Disagree2

29 Apr 2016 07:43:50
Quite right Ed 001. This is what most sensible people can see. Cellino messes up and the club end up paying. Over 300,000 plus lawyers fees, with Lucy Ward still to be paid and other court cases pending. How much of next season's transfer kitty will be gone. Just sick of the "It's his club,he owns us". He loans the club money, he doesn't give us it. Just like all other owners. After every garbage decision he makes, some on here keep on repeating the same old story that he doesn't want to bankrupt the club, well, his actions are costing us money. How many season tickets will have to pay for these ridiculous actions of Cellino. "He's not bates or GFH", does that mean we have to go along uncritical of everything he does? Having Cellino as owner makes another buyer less likely. Who wants to come in and have to deal with court cases. Every loss means less money to spend on players.

Agree2 Disagree2

29 Apr 2016 08:30:21
Lets see what happens in the summer. If he spends nothing and we end up with l. loan players then doom awaits and we have no future. On the other hand if we buy 3 or 4 good players keep the good young ones, then prophets of doom please take a seat at the back. By the way I am sure a few on here work for companies that chop down rain forests and use child labour to pick their fruit and make their clothes. Do you take placards to work.

Agree2 Disagree2

29 Apr 2016 10:49:55
Good players either cost money or have to be scouted. We have no scouting system, thanks to cuts made by Cellino. Good players need paying £300,000 would have gone a long way to paying the wages of a good player. I hope we win the league next year. We need to be back in the premiership,it's the only place to be. Critism of the owner and the way he treats employees, his anarchistic way of running the club and negative publicity he brings with him, does not makes those of us who take such a stance any less of a Leeds fan than those of you who defend the indefensible.

Agree2 Disagree2

29 Apr 2016 11:40:18
Our club is a brand and a fan base that's all no assets other than players and a name that was running at a loss before Cellino. The only reason Leeds exists is because Cellino put his money into Leeds. So it's not our money. And again I ask WHO ELSE IS GOING TO BUY AND RUN LEEDS.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Apr 2016 15:28:09
It's still running at a loss and we've thrown £300,000 plus down the toilet. As for the great saviour, bates claimed the same. There was no buyer back then. Cellino may want the best for the club but hasn't got the skills for the job. I ask again who would buy a club which is in court every month with unwinnable cases? There were interested parties but who wants to mop up after Cellino's bungled job. Just because someone turns up and becomes owner that must mean we should blindly support every madcap bungaling attempt to run the show without fitting people on board.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Apr 2016 16:19:26
It's cellino who has been moping up someone else's bungled mess.

i find all this stuff a little dull. I care about leeds on the pitch, without mc we wouldn't be on the pitch and thanks to mc our results on the pitch have got slowly and surely better. we was on a downwards curve on the pitch now thanks to mc the curve is upwards. I do wish he would stop with media but then the media will always find something won't they, I suggest us fans stick to the positives and stick to the players who cross the line and don't worry about off field stuff until it affects us on the pitch and by that I mean we go back to our old home before mc which was league 1.

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Apr 2016 12:26:27
Fine mopping up! Cameron Stewart, Gibbs,Lucy Ward. Just how much of Cellino's mopping up do we have to put up with. More court cases to come and more money wasted on lawyers. The problem BW is that with all these extra costs we will have less to put in the pitch. We also have no head of recruitment, no-one running the academy, no scouts and Cellino and his sons in charge.

i have to say deda I do see a good vaild point to your post and do not disagree. i'm not sure if this money comes out of leeds pot or mc's back pocket either way it is not ideal. I just have to try and stay positive if I think about it too much I will cry as I don't have much else to live for, if you knew my mrs you'd understand.

I hear Evans Evans has been upsetting th decent bloke Belusci. That, coupled with playing Bamba in his place, deserves to get big Steve the sack (or no extension on his contract) . He can take his sombrero with him.

I believe you are right. One thing Bellusci is very good at is gifting the opposition easy goals from his blunders. Good player but won't change. Still thinks he is in Italy where you get a lot of time on the ball. Bamba can be as bad but his defensive errors are soluble through focus. On yer way blubbering Bellboy.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Apr 2016 16:54:40
George, the problem is with bamba, he's likely to trip over the ball or slip or something amateurish. Bellusci is more of a footballer, much more . Yes, he makes the odd mistake but no more than bamba . You seriously cannot tell me you think bamba is better . I mean he looks more like he should be head of security or something. He'd be a better bouncer than footballer for sure.

No-one minded that wonder goal he scored the other day. Bellusci is a better footballer than Bamba. He is also a better defender but what I take exception to is Bellusci's errors which are far from the odd one now and again and always lead to a gilt-edged goalscoring opportunity even Billy Barn Door would score. Given his training field antics and he probably wants to be in Italy anyway I say sell him and buy 3 new central defenders in the summer of British origin who are more the no-nonsense type defenders who enjoy keeping clean sheets not prancing around.

Trouble is lancs belushi is throwing his toys out of the pram and what can Evans do but stand his ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2016 19:56:52
I understand what you're both saying but surely a good manager like say pearson would have him sorted as he'd be terrified of making a mistake, it's all about getting him to focus properly. Knowing when to play football and when to hoof it is what a good coach should be instilling into him . George, I know he's laid on some gilt edged chances but I wish they'd all fallen to billy barn door, we may have got away with it then .

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2016 20:32:46
What I like about this site is the banter. Make a statement - sarcastic or not and it always generates a good response. Byhe way upsetting a player is usually not a reason for sacking a manager. Do I think Bamba or Wood are good enough? Definitely mot but that's just my opinion. Should players storm off if they're not selected? Definitely not.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2016 20:34:21
me and george in agreement. Bellendchi is not a great footballer he flatters to decieve, a lot of his passing is wayward, he plays only for himself, every tackle looks like a card and every game looks like a massive mistake, one thing no on can argue with surely is the team looks far more solid when he is not in it?

Hess is clearly bells agent/ love child/ both

there is no other explaintion for this.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Apr 2016 00:13:01
Bermondsey? A Londoner or ex pat? Whatever. If you've seen as many Leeds games as I have you would never say that we are 'far more solid when he (belusci) is not in it (the leeds team) '. Look at the goals against column when each one has played. Bamba playing is an accident waiting to happen. My point all along is that none of them are good enough. I just believe that Belusci and Cooper are our best pairing. There is a lot of prejudice regarding Belusci. He is not liked for some reason. Bamba; Cooper; Wood; Bridcutt etc. make mistakes regularly every game but they are brushed aside and forgotten about. Belusci makes one and its analysed to death. We have a very average side with lots of poor performances. Let's be more even handed and don't just have one scapegoat. I will also side with anyone being unfairly criticised particularly when others don't get the same treatment.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2016 07:19:23
Hesslian

Your right to say that Belusci is a better footballer than other defenders. He can carry the ball forward better than them. But is he really a better defender? He regularly gets caught out of position,is not good in the air and his temperament is bad. He's always walking the tightrope of a red card. He gets involved in a ruck to easily and players wind him up so easily.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Apr 2016 14:33:42
Hess, what does it matter where BW is from? You don't need to have seen every game to realize the Bellusci is a liability.
Terrible in the air, wayward passing and an accident waiting to happen is how i'd describe the man.
Ive only seen six games live this year and another dozen or so on the box and Bermo i'm sure about the same. Plenty of minutes to see how bad he can be. So you don't really need to live in Yorkshire to give judgment on a player.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Apr 2016 15:58:31
The problem is that none of our centre halves are good enough. The question is ' which is the best combination? ' I've seen most games and just that and seeing who concedes the most goals clearly shows that Bamba with anybody is the worst option. Cooper and Belusci is the best. Cooper has improved a lot but funnily enough if you watch the games makes more mistakes than Belusci but not as many as bamba. unfortunately Belusci is usually in the thick of things and can be exposed. He had a really good game against QPR but in the end he was left exposed by a mistake in front of him. He was the only one in a position to try and sort it but gave a penalty away. It was a harsh one at that. That's all that was talked about after the match. Nothing about other mistakes and rubbish play. IT just seems that some fans are blinkered. I'm no great Belusci fan . It's just that there is worse in the team and its clear that we need much better.

I think Cork is bang on, it doesn't matter where your from, we're all Leeds so I think you should apologise to BW. See Speedy is not jumping forward to defend his partner in crime (just what happened to that bromance) We are mid - table, so what does it matter,if we were 4th from bottom and a couple of points above relegation or 7th with a chance of the play offs then make your point. I hope someone offers some money for him and wish him the best. Remember, NOT EVERYONE CAN BE FROM LEEDS BUT THEY CAN STILL BECOME SPECIAL BY SUPPORTING LEEDS.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2016 17:23:30
I see your point Hess. They have all made too many mistakes this season, including Cooper even though he has come on a lot. But when they are all on top of their game I believe Bamba is the best as he showed last season. He reads the game well, is strong and good in the air but for some reason this campaign has let errors into his game and some awful errors as well. Complacency? Probably. If only Bamba AND Bellusci took the no nonsense approach of Cooper and defended first and foremost they would make a decent CB pairing.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2016 19:44:42
cork firstly I would like to say thank you for defending my honor something speedy has long since done, I think speedy is a bit of a s""t and moved on to pastures new. I don't think hess has to aplolgise as I can see the point to people who see every live game compared to myself. I have seen every live game twice as I tape them and watch them again sober the next day (yes I am that sad) and seen four live games three away and one at home.

i do have to admit a bit of blind hatred towards bell and even if he played well I am not sure I would see it as I do dispise him. however I do think every tackle looks like a booking, mistakes are common and that cooper is our best defender and he looks better along side bamba. I think he passing is wayward and for every good 50 yard pass (and he does have them in his locker) there is five 25 yard aimless passes. I also think he plays for himself. his double roll over skill when 4-1 down to huddeslfield at home when he had a bad game was just not on and if I was a player I would of had a word over that. I have to say I even prefer wooten as wooten is poor trys hard and makes mistakes, beelll is decent dosent try hard and makes mistakes, for me wooten is easier yo forgive.

the only person in leeds who I find harder to forgive than bell is speedy as he has rproper changed I don't feel like I know him any more.

Can anyone shed any light on the proposed cash back offer from Cellino?

I've read a few comments on here and other sites saying that if this comes into play (i. e. not reaching play-offs) , the reduction will be off the following year's season ticket price.

I've not seen anything on the OS or anywhere else that says this, so wondered if anyone knows something I don't or are we just speculating?

It clearly states 'refund' on the OS which implies money back. If it was money off next season it would have to say so, or risk falling foul of the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) , which I have had dealings with and know how petandic they are.

So, to me, this looks like a genuine offer of cash back, which if so, I applaud, as it shows clear intent from Cellino to get us out of the Championship and back to the promised land of the Premiership. Anything else and Mr Cellino will be in a whole new heap of s***e as I'm sure the FA and others will be watching intently.

Good point Mick. It's been the topic of many discussion at my work. It does show good intent to me regardless of whether it is a refund or money off the following season. I intend to renew this year and I would the following regardless of where we finish. However, if Mr Cellinio does deduct it from the following seasons ticket price who's to say he won't increase those prices by 25% 😀
