Here's one to ponder! Will we be proffesional and do our business early in the window or dither like in the past and lose out on targets to the likes of Boro and forest and the villans who, s transfer policy is to buy everyone so no one else can get a look in. ( not that it's done em much good )

Thoughts on transfers please!

I would have thought Bielsa has made his thoughts known on the targets but whether we get them might be down to price and contract negotiations and that can be the cat and mouse bit that slows it down. Easiest way to get what you want quickly is pay over the odds to the club and pay silly contracts, now known as the Seth Johnson method! Can’t see us doing that again!

George's transfer targets for the window are Westwood, Reach, Gomez and Dack.

Honestly, I see one maybe two additions at most

GK with experience

Maybe a CM

Otherwise carry on regardless.

I know a few people are sticking up for BPF but I see quite a few big issues with him. The biggest being that we have kept loads of clean sheets recently and yet he still is't confident. He's constantly a bag of nerves when the ball comes over the top, when corners come swinging in. It just never changes.

Moving on. freekicks. That's three now which I can remember this season; Derby, Wigan and now Blackburn. All should have been saved, all were conceded. There's been no noticeable improvement from the lad this season and yes he makes some good saves but so should any keeper at that level. It's the extras which make you a top class keeper and he hasn't saved any more points than he has cost.

I hate saying it but the lad is a liability. He has made so many errors this season and will continue to do so I believe. It’s not like he makes tremendous saves to compensate for his mistakes either. His shot stopping isn’t great as often he gets a hand to a shot yet the ball still hits the net. From what I can see his only asset is his distribution. Like I say I don’t like having a go at players and obviously I’m not a goalkeeper expert but from what I’ve seen this season he doesn’t look up to championship standard.

He is capable. But prone to errors and although better than last couple of keepers, he is not mature or good enough for first team.
Has done well for us and will one day be good. But not now. We need a better keeper jan 1st.

Save money and put KP in nets, he'll prob do that well he will be called up to replace pickford in the England squad. Also so much fun watching berm squirm with his favourite player hugging the limelight.

@Louisb. Where would you spend it? As far as I can see we're scoring enough goals, creating even more chances. So stopping the silly goals must take precedence?

Ask yourself if we get promotion to the premiership this season would BPF be a starter for us in that league. I would suggest no, look to teams like wolves last season, went up as champions and brought in an experienced keeper for that league. So why not get an experienced keeper in now and let BPF learn from him.

We say it often enough on here, trust Bielsa! He was honest enough to say that he would have dropped him even when he couldn’t. My main gripe with Bailey is that I don’t see him commanding and shouting at his defenders much. Huffer actually does it more than him. I think we are definitely going to bring in a goalie, just depend on who it is whether he goes straight in or not.

Gk, cb, winger and siaz replacement
I think we should loan a gk like blackman again, for me a cb who's at a good level, cover for alioski as he is not consistent enough, send Harrison back. Siaz replacement to share hernandez work load. If hernandez gets injured we won't score.

4 million for the Newcastle goalie? Is he worth it? Is it worth spending that amount of cash on a goalie? Never seen him play. If we do, he has to play every week, the right move?

{Ed025's Note - £4m is buttons in this day and age spanish, wait till you get in the prem mate...the prices will blow your mind..
