As a parent of young kids I find it extremely frustrating when the schools have to close due to snow. Are we teaching the next generation to be wimps or do we need to teach them to toughen themselves up? They always blame H&S, the roads and footpaths around the school are dangerous, we'll get them gritted. People make it football grounds safely and there's very few top flight games these days called off due to the snow. The department for education should contact the fa to ask them how they deal with a light flurry of snow. Ffs, I work for a Swiss company and they're all laughing at us, it seems the uk comes to a stand still at the very sight of snow. Do you think Churchill in ww2 thought I shan't go fighting them on the snowy beaches? One of my soldiers might fall and sprain their ankle.

Agreed speedy. Defo gets my eldest to calm down. My youngest is still working her way up to the harder stuff, she’s only just been weaned onto the Baileys 👍

When it's snows now they talk in centimeters when I was growing up in the sixties and seventies is was feet deep this country is pathetic and embarrassing when it snows especially down south.
