Not a rumour but more of a question-do you reckon kaspar deserved the barrage of abuse he received last night? Top keeper who didn't really want to leave but made us a few quid

Believable11 Unbelievable3

He got the abusive for ignoring the kop when we were clapping him at the start of the 2.nd half

Agree8 Disagree1

No i suspect he didnt, will be the old 'son-of-scum' thing i guess. Dont see the point myself. Imagine if we did the opposite and cheered all ex players. Looked what happened to Beckford last season. Got cheered, opposing manager subbed him!

Agree5 Disagree0

I didn't agree with the chants or abuse Kasper received. He was a victim of the Bates, pretend to over them a contract they refused we sell them brigade. It is however true that at the start of the 2nd half Kasper walked towards the Kop, who were showing him a respectful round of applause, and he simply turned his back on them w/o acknowledgement. I don't condone what happened, but he appeared almost nonchalant to the fans. He should remember we didn't sell him, Pappa Smurf concocted that situation.

Agree9 Disagree2

Kasper was a victim of his own surname, and i dont think he was THAT good, his shot stopping is good, but his decision making was hurrendous, hed get beat from 30 yards and get in the left backs face

Agree2 Disagree1

Singing your just a sh*t b****** was a bit harsh tbh im sure that Man U dont think of him as one of there only after all he played for City and Leed united so i highly doubt they love him

Agree0 Disagree0

The abuse started in the first half, so How can you say it started when he ignored the Kop at half time ?

Agree0 Disagree2

He deserved every bit of abuse he got he used leeds has a stepping stone!

Agree0 Disagree2

I can say he got the abuse for ignoring the kop in the 2.nd half because before that i didnt hear any abuse towards kasper from the kop or the other stands... my statement was in answer to the abuse i heard and the south stand wasnt loud enough for me to hear saturday

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant believe he ignored the kop applauding him how rude. remember our chant we gave to him, 'ya dad's a c**t but your alright' u all should have sung ' ya dad's a c**t and so are you' lol abuse the ex leeds son of a c**t who ignored your applause! abuse him more when we visit the king power stadium when we score 5 past him, we should be in a strong play-off spot by then :)

Is it true that GFH are taking ideas on transfers and other stuff, because I saw by accident the goals by Gradel against forest and we need him back just for his passion and love of Leeds. I don't know why we don't sign more African players because we had some good'uns in the not too distant past. Anyway can someone give me the details for this. Please can you not put this in the questions page ed because no-one will see it?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Yup, whoever gets the biggest vote - we sign. Then they are doing a survey to ask us all what tactics they should use. Then we are all getting red buttons on match day. As soon as 60 percent have buzzed, they will bring a sub on. Good times ahead. {Ed003's Note - haha,it's the future :/ }

Tell u why people are staying away its obvious 30quid to get in I remember paying 50p in boys pen. By the time you've paid fuel carpark and couple of pints its 60 quid probebly nearly a days wage for many people compare that to how much players are on. People can't relate to it anymore even our crap players will be on 2 or 3 grand

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Surely it isn't rocket science to see that 30,000 people paying £15 generates the same cash as 15,000 paying £30. Twice as many people to spend money on food, beverages and club shop.

If I can see the business sense in this, why can't our leaders? We would certainly get a bigger crowd if prices were more realistic and in tune to the economic climate. MOT Ron

Agree9 Disagree0

If we had 30,000 rather than 15,000 there would be greater stewarding, policing and staffing costs. its not as simple as that, even so it makes sense to have more people in the crowd than not! making it cheaper would do this

Now the takeover is all but complete Norwich city have decided to publicly come forward to announce that they are the financial backing behind GFH Capital, and that they intend to rename the club for the start of the next Championship season 'Norwich City B'. This would fully commit 'Leeds' to the role of feeder club as Norwich look to continue working towards sustaining Premiership football for years to come. Ultimately this would take away any chance of the former 'Leeds' team progressing any further than the Championship, but Norwich saw that the fans already had limited optimism and are fully accustomed to underachievement. The above facts and previous transfer history made the mediocre team ideal for Norwich's future plans.
MOT

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Your about as funny as anthrax, its Norwich who are filled with Leeds cast offs, who we will surely pass on our way up,and them down.

Agree11 Disagree0

Reasons crowd down.....we have been removed from the leeds public's view by the removal of live radio to the masses, people who used to follow the whites no longer have access to media coverage so they lose interest, bates priced a lot of families out of the picture with massive price increases during times of financial restraint, we isolated the next generation of fans by making it difficult financially and following via the media the whites, exposure to other teams made our kids follow their progress, even hitler was smart enough to used the power of propaganda the sway the masses and get fanatical support.we need a massive push on customer satisfaction by making it affordable to lads and dads who listen to games they can't attend and wet the apatite and create a a new generation of fanatic, my advice is to the new owners get match day back on radio leeds, lower the prices and keep the fans informed, no more secrecy, buy some quality player and show willing and re shall reap what you sew and win back the massive fanatical fan base you have lost. i rest my case........... goodnight zzzzzz

I'm Leeds through thick and thin and try to go as often as I can, work permitting.
Buzzing at the moment and got a good feeling for the season, still had a few weeks ago as all teams have a blip.

However I just wana say I can understand why attendances have dropped, it's not because we ain't a big club, because we genuinely are, unlike someother so called big teams. I just believe some fans are just prioritising, prices are extortionate, 1 more pay day till Xmas for a few people, we have a fascinating cup tie ahead, a tasty game against boro before Xmas also, people say you should be there everyweek, yes you should, if you can afford it which not everyone can, or get the time of work, or both, people will disagree or say not true supporters but that's my view....

Ben

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Two true pal, funds are just not there at the moment for ppl, this time a year 2 games a week in the Championship plus Cup games charged at top prem prices, are going to cripple most pockets even the singles out there, Get xmas out of the way and hopefully we will ALL Start flocking back into ER.............. MOT

Agree4 Disagree2

While i understand it can be hard for some people to afford to go every week, i still get the feeling if we get promoted this season, we will be back to 35000 avg gates......... so how come people can afford to go when in premiership and not championship???

Agree1 Disagree2

Forgot to sign off...............otleywhite!

The crowds are down because we are not playing well and there is no real excitement or prospect of success at the minute, if we put a good run together and get up in or near the playoffs the crowds will return.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Warnock out... in July. we can't risk him being at the helm for our return to the Prem if you look at his record.

Agree3 Disagree7

2 great results, yes. Has it changed my mind? No. I'd love to be proved wrong but I still think, long term, we're going nowhere under Warnock. If we get up, the hoof ball will bring us straight back down. As the last poster said - look at his record in the premiership.

Agree3 Disagree0

You didnt go to the last 2 games them, there was no hoof ball there, when we have the right players we can turn it on as well as the best of em

Agree2 Disagree2

Yes I did - as I have been at almost every home game for over 40 years mate. I thought there was plenty of hoof ball and the Palace result flattered us somewhat. They should have been out of sight before gifting us that first goal.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Only a suggestion . if the board came out and said their doing away with £31 a time cat a games (last year- donny , burnley , barnsley , brum , cardiff etc ) it wud be a sign to the stay away fans that we are not being shafted anymore .

If we look at the signings of Kenny, Tate, Austin etc.
Warnock clearly has a list of players that he wants for each position.
He often bids for the same player even when he moves clubs.

Just looking back at some other players he's had his eye on at QPR/Sheffield/Palace etc.
And some players that he's signed in the past that fit the bill at Leeds
Maybe some of these are still on his radar

Danny Graham, 27, ST (Swansea)
Andrew Davies, 27, CB (Bradford) (Previously Stoke)
Stephen Quinn, 26, LM (Hull) (Played under NW at Sheff)
Shaun Derry, 34, CDM, (QPR) (Played under NW at QPR)

congratulations leeds utd for a cracking performance against leicester last night. hard fought out gritty performance.
tate/lees were outstanding, byram and norris were excellent. allround great performance by everyone, even brown whenn he came on. why did'nt warnock replace thomas with hall - like for like, just keep that option of a left winger to be a threat down the flank/crosses for becchio/norris & green.

Believable11 Unbelievable3

So you say brown came on and gave a great performance , we won, but why didnt he put hall on to replace thomas instead of brown, jeez , some people

Agree5 Disagree6

He put brown on to close off the game defensively....personally I would have carried on attacking by putting hall on but NWs tictacs worked so no one will complain

Agree3 Disagree2

Just because he believes that brown did well, it doesn't mean he can't question or agree with the decision.
Original poster I agree with you, for me offence is the best form of defence. It takes the pressure of the defence.

one thing dawned on me last night when i was sat in the north west corner at kick off.I looked around and realised we are not a big club anymore. probably have'nt been for a while but for me seeing 17000 fans there just realised. Where are the fans who were staying away until takeover. A one club city its a joke especially when you look at a little club like brighton getting 24000 on the same night.
leeds fans should be ashamed of ourselves.
i bet if we get to the play off final at wembley the plastic fans will appear.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

I thought that myself. Was only my 3rd match of the season (I don't live in Leeds so travel is expensive and current times) pre takeover we had larger crowds than last night. Hoping it's just the mid week Christmas period money wise keeping people away. Hopefully new year we can get back to 25-30k or maybe not. Wonder how many true fans we have. I'd say a lot of the early 00s pre relegation fans were glory hunters as Leeds were the cool on form team

Crmd

Agree3 Disagree1

It occured to me while I was sat at home last night watching the results tick over online that, wouldn't it be nice to be able to go to Elland Road more often, perhaps if I stopped feeding my kids or paying the leccy, I might manage the stupid premiership prices I would have to pay but, alas, I made a commitment to my wife and family that I would remain a PLASTIC fan, which, i presume, means that the only way I could afford it would be to do it on a credit card. I have a life, I love my family and I love my football team but obviously not enough for you REAL fans. I apologise if my decisions offend you, I thought maybe you might be happy that the club has a brighter future now but, I guess not, some people will always find an excuse to have a good whinge.

Agree18 Disagree0

I was there last night. As I am every home game as I have a season ticket. The problem is I think is one of cost and Bates etc...but just generally we have had a decade of disappointment followed by disappointment, layered by crushing disappointment. Most people have written off Tuesday night home games, as it's been over a year since we last won or kept a clean sheet. It'll take time for people to believe again. The last two games have been a good start, but January and GFH's true intentions will be the true acid test.

Agree11 Disagree0

Think you will find we are staying away till Bates is out, not takeover. He's still there, still in charge isn't he? Question answered.....

Agree2 Disagree11

Tickets for those games should be loyalty based.

Agree1 Disagree0

Take the Leceister fans out last nights crowd, probably only 16,000 Leeds fans attended last nights game, What is the answer to get fans back, is it Still because Bates is at the club, Ticket Prices, the Team, the Weather,Can't be bothered, I'd love to hear some reasons why.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately I can't come at the moment as food as taking precedent over football. Sorry if my priorities and that of many others are wrong and football should be the one primary concern.
In case you didn't know, the majority of people in the North are not very affluent at this current time (the south has always been more affluent anyway).
When a ticket is the price of a months money for food at work, or half a months travel it gets to the point where it is no longer financially viable.

Agree3 Disagree0

I started supporting Leeds when I was 9, 46 years ago when I lived in Norfolk. I went to university in London and got to see them when they came down to Arsenal, my mate was an arsenal fan. I moved up to Sheffield after that. Still I knew no other Leeds fans. I got a job in Bradford in 91 and came into contact with other Leeds fans and started to go to ER with them and up to this year have missed a couple of matches. There has always been something to fight for be it good or bad. This year however I lost hope of progress under the Bates regime. I still seek out every crumb of news on Twi**er'aggregation sites an all other avenues. I still live and breath the whites. With the new regime I once again have hope and from Ipswich onwards will be at ER every game. Call me what you want, I don't care, but that is my honest reason for absence for Sept, Oct and November this year.
BigMartLUFC

Agree1 Disagree0

I understand cost, family comes first. But please stop using Bates as a smoke screen as to why you can't be bothered to come. I was proud of the 17,000 last night. When we go up again, and we are playing in the Prem League, those of us who have stuck by the club will all remember last night, the Gary Speed remembernce was special. As was the commitment of the players and fans

Agree4 Disagree0

Why do people keep using bates as an excuse , he has no say in anything to do with Leeds utd anymore, he owns nothing, he takes no money, you are not lining his pockets by going, you are just hurting your club.if you can't afford to go, like i cant every week, then fine , but stop with the bates crap

Agree5 Disagree1

Until Saturday and the Palace game I hadnt been to ER since the Man Utd Cup Game, and had boycotted ER because of bates and ultimately his comments in the programme that night.
I will be at ER for as many games as I can make/afford from now on, against palace and Leicester it was great to be back and Ive missed ER like you would never know.
Bates has gone, it is now a new era, and one which all fans should support and give a chance by attending ER en mass.
If you cant make it to ER cos of personal circumstances fair enough, but your 'Bates excuse' is no longer valid. MOVE ON

Agree1 Disagree0

Guys, tuesday night games have always had bad attendences (people like me work nights through the week so i go weekend home and away), if we get some proper quility on the field in jan then maybe everyone will feel they are getting there moneys worth. We was a once huge club we arn't at the moment but we are definatly on the rise! get back to how we was or possibly bigger. Till then then we are championship side paying premiership prices to watch us play the likes of derby, brighton, peterborugh ect, instead of scum, arsenal, chelsea, spurs ect. You all see where i am coming from. I stongly feel we have a good chance in getting promoted this season NW is the perfect man for the job, wait and see in a couple of seasons when we are back in the big time it will be 35000-40000 average. Hope we can all stop bickering its a great time to be a leeds fan. Ben MOT!

A lot of people are already trying to speculate who will be bought in Jan. Heres my take on it. Firstly the loan players. Hall we already know will be made into a perminant signing. Tonge - for me he has been a surprise since coming on loan. i always though he was decent but his performances have showed me he is a really good versatile championship player. Im not sure if he will be anything more than a squad player in the premiership so i wouldnt sign him perminantly but i would extend his loan to the end of the season. Tate - based on the fact he hasnt played for swansea in quite some time and by listen to his interview when he signed for us on loan i do believe a perminant aquisition is possible and should be made. Thomas - I dont think it will be possible to sign him perminantly simple because WBA are flying in the premiership and are at the momement pretty much injury free and so WBA might want to be able to recall him from any loan during the business end of the season should they have an injury crisis. I do think we would be able to extend his loan until the end of the season.

In terms of people i would buy, i would on immediately buy George Boyd, who i think is actually transfer listed so a deal would be pretty quick. That would enable us to have three quick agile wingers in Thomas, Hall and Boyd - very creative. The only other person i would buy would be a striker and i am a fan of CMS at Brighton. He strong, quick and a solid finisher and with the right service he could score plenty. I dont think we need anybody else. The only reason i think we have been conceding a lot of goals is due to the lacx creativity we have in the final third meaning we just play hoofball and sit back and invite teams onto us for 90 mins. With these few signings we can start to attack teams more and relieve pressure on the defence. Also Rudy Austin will be back in January so will be like a new signing.

This is just my opinion - long post i know.

onwards and upwards MOT

Believable13 Unbelievable4

Just an opinion from me, if we buy championship players, where we gunna end up!? If we buy proven experience premiership players like the ones we have at the club now i.e thomas and diouf, who are marvellous for us if we scout for good proven prem quality, where will we end up? Just a thought, aim higher we are a big enough club

think we should do our utmost to keep Thomas he's been the catalyst for two great results since he came along with Tate who looks like a natural leader . good job WBA are flying or I don't think we'd have got him . a quick winger like gradel and I think we could be in real business
