Ive no idea who BMD wants to sign, nor has anyone on here. but we must trust him whatever he does,. i'd love to see le fondre, Shaun wright Phillips, beckford, maybe gallas? Not prem quality anymore but good enough for us, just ideas, shrew leeds

Not prem league quality but good enough for us? Give ya head a shake lad

Agree0 Disagree0

I ment I don't think gallas is good enough for spurs. don't u think he would do a job for us? Compare him to pearce

1st give yourself a name it takes a minute,
GOOD ENOUGH FOR US - wash your mouth out with soap lad, I wouldn't take that fair weather mercenary if he was free.
Those days are over we want and need younger hungry players not peeps on the way out, that is how you never go up.

Guys

Just been looking through the players we have and the only ones out of contract have been out on loan this season, except Bromby, who is also out of contract.

Looking very likely we will need to move a few on to make any serious signings.

Based upon what I have seen both home and away this season, I think rightly or wrongly, but my opinion, the following players should be moved on:

Adam Dury
Jason Pearce
David Norris

Not major wholesale changes, but players who I feel can't step up next season.

I think we need

1 x midfielder, with experience and some flare and passing ability

1 x solid centre half, to play alongside Lees/Pielter

1 x Striker to give competition to Morrison, who I think will be a major hit next season when fully fit

Using Hall and Diouf as wide men, I still think we need another body out there either left or right.

A playing budget of around £6-8M would probably get these players in, but we need them early pre-season not the late charge like last year

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pearce and norris will stay, good solid players

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearce and Norris would be good squad players. I agree we need another decent Centre Half, somebody who can bring Lees on. Peltier is no CB. I know he has played in there, but we bought him as a right back. I don't think he did bad at right back on Saturday. Doesn't bomb on like Byram, but for me Byram would be best suited right midfield.

I think we need to have a big clear out this summer. My ideal and realistic team would be:

Kenny
Peltier R Dunne R Johnson Warnock
Byram Dorrans McGuigan Burke
Doyle C Austin

I would get rid of Austin, Brown, Tonge and all the other fringe players

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is a team that would be capible of doing well in the pl.

Agree0 Disagree0

You kidding? drop Tom Lees? Dunne and Johnson, both old fashioned Revie era style centre halves but you couldn't have both in the team, far too slow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good job you're not manager, we'd be relegated

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say this is realistic when Dorrans was valued at £5 million in January and god knows what Charlie Austin will be

Agree0 Disagree0

Too much FIFA??

Agree0 Disagree0

Roger Johnson has been rubbish for the lady couple of seasons!

Agree0 Disagree0

And we don't want Doyle either. We already have strikers who don't score! The reason Wolves are on the way down is because their players are crap so why would we want them all - we did that with Pompey under Colin & it got us no where

Agree0 Disagree0

That should say last couple of seasons not lady?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunne is going to be 34 at start of season NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we don't need more pensionable rot

I'm so sick of watching one of the true great teams in english football struggle along playing boring football with boring players and If anyone has a go at me now for not being a true fan you are wrong, i'm realistic and annoyed. The Leeds I know would be attracting exciting new talent and at least one player who's name is recognizable. We don't have much money and I understand that but getting rid of all our talent and getting players like Drury and Tonge is a joke to Leeds United. WE ARE LEEDS. MOT. NEW SEASON, PLEASE TAKE US TO WHERE WE BELONG.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stop whinging, we played within our means at the time, support the players we have, and I was brought up in the days of bremner, giles and clarke, but know times have changed

Agree0 Disagree0

We can only play with what we have. We don't have big money, so hopefully Brian Mc can pull a few lesser known gems into the fold. As for style of football, it has been poor, but we have a new man in charge and from the three home games I have seen he looks to be trying to pass a little.

saw a link the other day to a list of players out of contract this summer.

The list was HUGE - If memory serves there were something like 16 players from Wolves alone! Quite a number from Reading and QPR also.

PLUS any number that would command quite hefty transfer fees from the Prem if they weren't out of contract.

Point I am making is that I believe with FFP starting next season the BIG investment we will see will be in wages, and hopefully we might attract some of the Out of Contract players like:-

Chris Brunt, Gary O'Neill, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Dean Whitehead, Ryan Shotton, Even Andrei Arshavin, or Kolo Toure.

There will also be any number of Prem teams that will send players out on season long loans because they are not in their 25 man squad.

Good Manager, NO Bates. suddenly Elland Road looks a more attractive place to be. MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"NO Bates. "

Sorry to disappoint you, he's around for another three years yet mate, at least - unless nature takes it's toll first.

Seen a whole lot of transfer targets now the season is coming to an end, just thought I'd get my suggestions in, some more realistic than others but we can dream, so here goes (not in any particular order):

Wayne Hennessy (Wolves)
Roger Johnson (Wolves)
Christophe Berra (Wolves)
Kevin Doyle (Wolves)
Albert Adomah (Bristol City)
Joby McAnuff (Reading)
Adam Le Fondre (Reading)
Charlie Austin (Burnley)

Obviously there are duplicates for positions and all would not be required but the players above are all more than good enough for this division and add plenty of experience without requiring a zimmer.

These are of course just my thoughts, others will, as entitled to have their own opinions.

You obviously like wolves players. I have quite a few friends who are wolves fans and Richard Johnson has been there main target for stick. he's been terrible yet your the 2 nd post linking him to Leeds. mmmmm no. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Not much of a dreamer are you, 5 players from clubs relegated to lge 1, feeling of deja vu

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here - Just because Wolves were relegated does not mean they have awful players, they've had (like us) a rough ride of it this year, 4 managers in 2 seasons is ridiculous, how on earth can these players settle in to a routine. Wolves going down is much the boards blame as it is those kicking around the little white ball on the pitch. They don't turn into bad players over night, Hennessy a Welsh international, Berra a Scottish international, Doyle an Irish International. As for Bristol City yes they aren't particularly great, but Adomah has been their one shining light and why not grab the best of a poor team, many other clubs do it and will continue to do so. We now have a manager in who hopefully has better man management skills than these players have been used to over the course of this season and could well get the best out of them. As both teams are looking like being relegated the players in question could well be available on the cheap. Charlie Austin would be my main target tbh, a proven goalscorer, something we really do miss, him alongside either McCormack or Morison is good enough for this division easily, let alone if you manage Le Fondre who was Readings top scorer in the premier league last season. It is all a matter of opinions, I'm sure Mcd has his own targets, these are purely my thoughts. MOT SussexLeeds

Hopefully mcd will do a big signing first, $2mill job to show every other player out there, we are serious. Show some intent and our other targets will come, especily now mcd is here. Warnock couldn't attract a bee with a jar of honey let alone a decent player ( diouf and warnock apart).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol arn't bees attracted to pollen not honey! only joking but do agree with your points.

Ausman its not about going out and spending milloins. There are plenty of top championship players out of contracts its just about gfh spending big wages to bring these lads in. Ie 20 grand a week men instead of the 5 and 10 men we've been used to. So point is use transfer money for wages instead. Mot.
