Hearing all sorts of rumours of players in and out this summer, Pugh brown Norris drury Kenny kebe Morison tonge green all to leave, players coming in is just rumours at the minute but the names I've heard is ibarbo (unlikely) tabanelli (very likely) and that avelar defender, also Bradley Johnson is linked with a move back. Also some players from lower divisions Edgar, pringle, sam winnall.
But who knows. Have to see what massimo cellino does.

If Cellino keeps Calgari for another season, would that help in the loaning/ transfer of their players to us. As a short term fix while other financial matters are being sorted? Any ideas?
If he asset strips them then he may find it hard to sell the club which will drain his resources surely?
Good point

These are the players I believe are good enough to be of use to a promotion winning team within the next two years.
First XI: Warnock, Pearce, Byram, Murphy, Smith, McCormack
Subs: Lees, Austin, Stewart
Squad Players: Zaliukas, Wootton, Mowatt, Poleon
Then there is obviously the youth team (not sure who wil be good enough for next year?)
Therefore: (going off rumoured signings)
a couple of keepers- Daniel Benteley and maybe Gomes?
Left back: Avelar and/or Tommy Rowe
Experienced centre back- Astori (please!) Webster?
Holding centre mid- any suggestions?
Attack minded centre mid- Dorrans, Adryan?
Wingers- Aggard
Strikers- Ibardo, Hogan
I also think we should look at some Norwich players back (in order of preference)- Snodgrass, Johnson, Howson, Becchio
For me the 2 key areas that need addressing are wingers, central midfield and attack.
Regardless of whether or not Cellino spends big there are 10/11 players out of contract, I expect 4/5 more to be sold and so I think we can expect a lot of players to come in.
McDermoot said him and MC prefer permanent signings rather than loans but loans are a good way to acquire high calibre players for a low expenditure.
What are anyone's thoughts on any of this? These are just my views and I'm not saying any will happen so no replies regarding that please.
Cant see Dorrins being released by west brom as he`s getting game time.
I can't agree with keeping Lees, I think its the heart ruling the head because he's made it through the ranks. in reality he spends most games doing an impression of a rabbit caught in headlights, he's destined for league 1 IMO!
Good post by OP and smart comment about Lees. I'd still keep Lees but it's up to him to improve. I am very optimistic for the future. With the right signings, we can threaten top 6 next season. It's the spine of the team that needs sorting most. Quality keeper someone to play with Pearce and someone better than Austin. Then you got a team. Add pace on wings to that and you mount a play off challenge.
Trev- that will depend on who west brom bring in over the summer and how much cellino is prepared to invest. If not him then maybe howson/Johnson?
Bakers Boy- that's why I'm not saying start him, put him on the bench then he has to improve to force his way onto the pitch (he is still quite young)
George- exactly my point, spine and wingers and we are probably going to challenge next year.
The huge thing we need is wingers, I know Ross has scored 30 this season but big Matt Smith & wingers would easily push that north of 60 if we signed two quality wingers, you look at a lot of games we've lost this season and the manner in which we've lost them, we've been absolutely devoid of ideas. Buying wingers will give us the creativity we need.
I agree buy wingers, but they need to be quality. We've all seen what happens when you get any old winger in!
If they're no good we're back to square one.

Hi Eds, can the next poll be. Does anyone feel sorry for Norwich City? I'll start the ball rolling with NO, NO and NO!
Thanks for the poll on my shell suit. I would donate it if it wasn't such a babe magnet. Also it's got some purple piping down the side (classy) so I don't think Mr Cellino would allow it anywhere near ER. shame!
MM
{Ed001's Note - cheers Mick, glad you appreciated the poll. I read your story the other day about it and it left me in stitches. Thanks for the poll idea. You know you Leeds fans and Villa fans have a lot in common these days - both hate Norwich yet are nowhere near it!}

Was just thinking the same myself, speedo. I think Carbone has been employed to do what bm isn't, getting youth team players into the first team set-up. He will probably be fast tracking them and getting them to man up. When Warnock wanted to buy Burke, he was told there was a shortfall in the accounts of millions. This is the only reason Brian will survive until new season. Leeds United have no money and a lot of debts. MC is right though, the accademy is no working very well. Expect more of them to be playing next season and a fair few on the transfer list or on loan of the present senior players. We have to stop losing money . A million a month will kill us, eventually.
I am a fan of MC when it boils down to it he is a business man. He has said 2 seasons to the prem, I think that he will do the fundamentals first get us profitable. Bringing the academy lads on is a cost effective fix, of course as long as they are good enough. 3-4 good signings and some of the lads from the academy plus some of the team now and it is a sensible, sustainable approach.

Got a feeling that Signor Cellino has encountered more financial problems at LUFC than he realised. Even though he's a wealthy man he has spent a lot of money and by the sound of it it's only the tip of the iceberg.
I don't expect him to buy Elland Road or Thorp Arch in the near future unless he sells Cagliari and I don't see him spending silly money on transfers either.
I think he intends to bring in some Italian players and develop the youth players. I would love to be proved wrong but I think he's got enough on his plate sorting out the club's debts. Speedo4eva MOT.
I tend to agree cellino's realised that he has bought a lot of problems and mcdermott is the least of his worries .but I am sure he is capable of sorting all the issues before next season .

Top 3 Players this season:1.Ross. 2.Smith 3.Pearce.

Leeds are looking to sign highly rated rotherham united winger Kieran Agard in the summer. He is out of contract, but he has scored 25 goals this season in all comps. He is a very tricky pacey winger so ticks all the boxes.
So did Stewart.
