what a difference a day makes eh? Yesterday we were going up as champions and today relegation fodder. Calm your emotions guys and gals there is much more football to be played yet. as a lot of us have said let's wait until we are a bit further on in the season and we will know a bit more about where we really are.

One swallow doesn't make a summer but neither does one raindrop make a Tsunami.

Nobody is saying relegation fodder Alf, what it has done is really highlight the fact the squad is wafer thin on quality, something I guess most fans already knew. maybe Biesla will realise now that shaunnesy isn’t great back up for Pontus/ cooper/ beradi, and that Harrison is t ready for that level, and based on what we have seen neither is Baker, he does have a lot of energy but needs to use that to run in behind defences. Forshaw back will help, but I think we def need another winger and fwd.

Bamford was really poor last night, he lacks pace and gives lots of needless freekicks away, looks nowhere near a 7 mil player let alone 10,I will be gob smacked if he can return anywhere near 20 goals. Harrison and baker still learning the game, as are Shackleton, Pearce and shaunnesy, and there in lies our problem, we will need more experience and quality to last the course of the season, seriously missed pablos guile and composure last night. thought we could have gone 3 at the back in the 2ndhalf, didn’t really need Phillips at side of Pontus, fair play to Preston the first 20 mins, they were really aggressive, and pressed us all over the pitch, forcing a lot of errors, other teams may employ similar tactics after watching that.

I’m not a fan of Bamford really. I thought from what I’ve seen he is all puff and not much bite.
A lot of changes to make though.
Let’s hope first 11 return to winning ways.

Totally agree Mighty. Big worry we could not get a goal against ten men. Lot of running about but no end product. Not enough men getting in box, crosses not picking anyone out. Showed how much we need Pablo and Saiz. Baker not up to the role, lot of work but creative? Not sure why we bought Roberts, was hoping he would get a goal to maybe give him incentive but deserved nothing last night. We did make 9 changes though and most on the pitch have not played since last cup game and a couple back from injury. But if they want to get in first team need to a lot better than that.

Aus to be fair to Bamford he did not get much service last night. Think if he got a run in first team he would score goals. Do think that he needs to add to his game, create space for others and positional awareness. Bit of savvy needed but if a ball is played into him he will get on the end of it, just needs to think what he does with it next.

I think it took Roofe more than a few games to show us what he could do. Only Shackleton and Pontus came out of the game with any credit last night.
Bamfords job was a bit like being top man in a human pyramid when all those below you are having a mare!

Needs to get a few more opportunities before we write him off. Hope he gets some time on Friday and scores a belter!

Yes he has had a lot of clubs but so have a lot of other players. He has proved he can score in this division and maybe just needs the game time, which he has not had over the last year or so, and a good coach, which we have, to get him back to his best. Not saying he was my first choice in transfer market but i think he can do the job. Big question is if we carry on in the league the way we are is he going to get the chance here, do not think Bielsa will change a winning formula, but it don't mean he is crap.
