Who would take o Leary or Grayson back now to work with redders?

Oleary would be better suited because of the kids but a new manager is not the answer. Better players is.

RIP Leslie Silver. Leeds through & through. Will never forget his joy in dressing room at Bournmouth in 1990. God bless

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah good shout Degsy. Top man who had the balls to sack a Leeds legend and appoint a then virtually unknown Howard Wilkinson. RIP Leslie, thanks for the memories.

Happy New Year all
MM

Agree0 Disagree0

It was actually Bill Forherby who sacked the man

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for that Untouchables, but I'm pretty sure Silver had something to do with it so why split hairs?

Does redders realise we haven't scored a single header all season. This is something that must be addressed or we are heading for division 1. We need to loan a couple of players from the prem. a commanding centre back someone like Richard Dunn or clint hill a winger like Nathan dyer and a big tall striker who can hold up the ball and cause problems and score

No great surprise that with zero wingers. Reason why we lose regularly because we so predictable and it overloads central midfield. We require superior recruitment of playing personnel.

1423 , I have been saying this for weeks mate, in fact we haven't addressed the centre back issue for maybe a few seasons. We have shipped way to many goals for a long time

Wingers wingers wingers. If we can all see wot needs changing then why can't the manager? I've not heard any mention of us being linked with any either just more foreign players who may or may not take time to adjust to both English football & the championship. Quite worrying really. Our fate is in our own hands but not convinced we are up for the fight.

Most fans keep saying we need experience, but look at top of the table Bournemouth, how much experience do they have? They just have good players. We have Warnock, Sharp, Tonge, Pearce, Austin who are probably more experienced than anyone in their starting XI. Face it, a lot of our players are simply overrated by our fans.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Possibly Bournemouth got it right on and off the field and we haven't yet.
Heres hoping!

i keep hearing we are after a central defender and a striker.the reason I think the defence is conceding so many goals is we are asking too much of the full backs expecting them to provide attacking options and also get back to defend. if we had more width ie two wingers our forwards would be a real threat and I could see us climbing the table -just a thought from a battle weary leeds fan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Same thought, everytime we attack we are left wide open at the back, the longer the game progresses the more tired the full backs get, a naturally gifted winger with pace would allow some breathing space.

I think it is obvious we are now in a relegation battle & some of the signings brought in during the summer are not good enough, however is anyone else like me concerned with the lack of opportunities being given to other squad players, we are continually putting out the same team week in week out & they are not getting results, surely it is about time to give other players a chance to show what they can. We got a result at Forest & sometime's you need to get lucky or win ugly to kick start your season & I cannot for the life of me think why Redders changed the team against Wigan a decision that clearly back fired. We are too soft right through the spine of the team & we are too easy to play through in midfield & I think it is time for a change.

Agree Shaggy

First - anyone who keeps doing the same thing week after week and expecting a different result is dillusional - change is required.

Second - Footballers run high on confidence, so why Sharp, Morison and Doukara - no confidence. Montenegro scoring regularly for youth team - full of confidence and raring to go used as a bench warmer - ridiculous.

Third - You have to seriously consider the coaches ability when the defence still look like they have never played together before and keep gifting goals. They have had more than enough time to gel so why are the problems still there?

Fourth - As other posters have said we are now in a relegation fight - I think we are good enough to finish mid table but do not see the steel required in the team to do it in this division, we get bullied out of games.

Finally - the best fans in the land deserve better, we need some steel and some pace in the January window, I think that MC and NS will see to that. On Redders, for me the jury is out - he needs to step up and make things happen and he needs a plan B when we go behind.

As always I remain optimistic about the future but next season not this. This season is about stabilising and staying in the Championship.

For a plan b you need a plan b team. with no natural wingers how can we change it. not confident in don Celino and his side kick. another forward and midfield player WHY.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two great posts. In full agreement with you both

Can ii ask how we are getting all these loan to buys in jan when we have max loaned in bit puzzled no wingers no hope 4 me lufc4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to doubt Don Celino I think he as done brilliant and did not mean to slag him off. My point is Neil Redfern is the manager he sees what he as got and what he needs to improve his team. Its no good a third party stepping in and just signing players that will not fit.
