Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

29 Sep 2013 22:09:09
I am not calling for bmd out, but having put up with the crap of the last few seasons I've actually got back up to Leeds and started to get behind the team again.

Unfortunately nothing has changed on the pitch, we win a few games and then go into nosedive and start struggling against teams we should beat.

GFH either need to pull their finger out and spend some serious money of fxxk off and let someone in who will.

I am fed up hearing that 'we need a striker' or 'we are going to get someone in' or 'bmd has money available' or whatever this weeks spin phrase is? Just bloody do it or do one?

Either put the money up and get a couple of decent strikers in or do one and sell up to someone who realises we are heading the wrong way down the table (yet again).

Not rocket science is it?

And for those of you who start saying we've only played 'x' amount of games, how many games do you need to lose before you realise promoion becomes a mathmatical improbability/impossibilty?

It's not just about Leeds losing points, it's about the other teams taking them? If we lose 2-0 to Millwall it's 6 points gone, we lost three and they got three? We should be three points ahead of them and we are three points behind them = six points to catch up?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you not think that if there was some1 out there who was loaded and had plenty to throw at the team and actually wanted to buy us it would not have already been done! There hasn't been some billionaire who wants Leeds or they would have bought us by now! Why don't you invest? It sounds so simple when u talk about it

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post, spot on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely gfh must know plenty of rich billionaires being investment people themselfs, the guy is right they are the owners of our club so must decide iff they really can afford to keep us or not .

Original post is correct.

Money, money money, must be funny, in a rich mans world! If money was available we would have our players and paying top dollar wages! We are where we are! I would love to wave a magic wand and make it all ok but can't! What we need is a better performance from what we have! If the other team have better skill we need to run them twice as hard, be fitter and take our chances where they come up! Whilst the players we have are used/played as BMD is playing them then we will not win matches. We need to utilise what we have better and the players need to grow a pair, work hard or lose their place! Having said this, I would rather have a club than be in administration, I am truly gutted and continue to take the flack but am forever Leeds. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

For 'Stanners'

OP here, if I had the money I would have already done that.

I seriously believe there ARE people who do have the money to buy GFH out and invest in the team, but GFH don't seem to be able to understand that THEY need to invest money into the team to make any serious difference to last year, and the year before, etc, etc.

I think one of the comments here puts it better than I did, fork out or fork off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly mate I am as frustrated as you and want the best for Leeds I really do, but all I am trying to say is if there is somebody out there who wants Leeds, who has big money and willing to spend it on Leeds, they would have got in touch with gfh and enquired about buying, and if that was the case I genuinely believe they would (flip) sell straight away, so what I think is they haven't had a rich buyer interested!?

do you think our goalscoring problems might be improved by a good winger rather than a striker? surely varney and smith would fare better with some good crosses from the wing as our play is too narrow.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No not really, they get chances now and can't hit the target, but that's just my opinion MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if you want the owners to sign us a couple of players think its about time fans started doing there bit no excuses for tuesday ticket are cheap the club needs income without fans turning up you can forget about signing anyone

Fifa 14 post here seeing as the Fantasy is probably going to be better than the reality for a while.

Career mode, LUFC as club. Obviously,

Sold: Norris, Tonge and loaned out 3 youngsters.

Bought in: Rowe (250k), Januzaj (750k) Obertan (650k)

Scored 7 in the first lot of firendlies, with Poleon, Mowatt, Dawson and smith contributing.

Any other experiences out there.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep, I sold Norris for 300k, hall for 400k, drury for 140k and loaned out youngsters as well.
I played all my friendlies and only the only player scoring was poleon. So I tried getting le fondre: rejected.
I then signed becchio. He was doing everything in his first 3 games. Apart from scoring. Finally he scored the winner against wigan. I went crazy. Transfer deadline day now and hope to sign a winger. Looking at sammy ameboi on loan. Kenny isn't very good on fifa. Pearce is a tank

Agree0 Disagree0

To first reply I got fifa14 on Saturday and it doesn't have mowatt on it so what u talking about.
Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd season I got albrighton Carayol goodwillie smithes cisse from fc sion a few youngsters

Agree0 Disagree0

Delboy - you need to download updates and then on career mode use download latest as squads.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mowatt is in the game, are you playing default squads or downloaded the latest. I use him to cover RossM behind the front 2.

Just got rid of Tonge and Diouf, brought in a chap called Afobe from AFC to add to the 3 in the original post. He will be my rotation player with Poleon. I use Smith or Varney as the other partner. Classic slow guy, fast guy scenario.

That should be fine for now, with a goalie planned for January (Kenny retiring at end of season), probably going to go with Smithies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just signed will Hughes for 1.2 mil plus Tom lees played a few games and some of his stats have decreased!

Ed - just wondering if there is anything solid other than paper talk to becchio, and anything other than rumours to the albrigthton links? And one last question as I have not currently the finances to make many games this season, are we playing as bad as our results suggest? Any info appreciated mate. {Ed013's Note - As far as I know its paper talk mate, but the board are working towards a signing, just unsure who}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the performance issue, it's deteriorating by each match, with yesterday being the worst.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh dear, I know still early days but makes you worry. Hope hey start getting better as I will be able to start affording to go again in a months time!

To those posters who claim leeds will sign becchio you are well off the mark as he does not match BMcD requirements. He is not young, hungry, affordable wage and we won't be able to afford him in january. Not bring negative just realistic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree about that we won't be able to afford him but hunt is no good as well not young or hungry

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree about hunt but he was signed because BMcD had previously worked with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Brain has said we need more pace

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Hunt then, is he young and hungry,

Agree0 Disagree0

Did I say that hunt was a good signing? Unfortunately hunt and BMcD go together like kenny and warnock, even if it contradicts his principles

After a reflection on yesterdays game, I still see mcormack playing out of position.we do need an out and out striker, I keep seeing a player who caught my eye earlier in the season and he still keeps scoring.Take alook at Billy mackay from cally thistle. in scottish prem.We may not be able to get him yet, but in my opinion would be a great asset.Bechio could do a job, but only a short time loan. What worries me more is the non inclusion of noel hunt, he was an ex premier striker, works for the team, but doesn't play a part. I can't understand why byram is not pushing up and supplying our forwards, as we have a good right back in peltier. Bringing matt smith on at the end of the game, I would rather get the goal and take control of the game to secure points . As we never start the game until the second half or until the opposition score.I do trust mcdermott and believe we are at the start of a new era, we've all had dissapointments before, much greater than this run, its a long season, so we can stick together and see it through. mot.

The way he missed a sitter from 6yds his position must be in goal or at boro with 2 million spent on a quality goalscorer or winger!

Marc albrighton to join monday from villa. Bm also tracking the becchio situation. Could rejoin leeds next week after claiming he'd love to return.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Get over Becchio pal, no way B McD would pay 1.8 million for a reject who can't make it into an average Norwich side

Agree0 Disagree0

Your crazy mate if norwich are average then what does that makes us stop living in the past

Message to the owners:

You claim you are looking for a striker.
Well Lucciano has admited that he made a mistake and wants to come back. A proven goalscorer, a diferrent class to Smith, Varney or Poleon.
Either make an attempt to bring him back or be exposed as totally unambitious, failing to provide the manager with a reasonable opportunity and taking the fans for persons.
Love this club but am really starting to struggle with what we have to put up with, especially seen as I bought into the idea that those days were gone.

And before you get on my back. I prove my loyalty by going to the games, backing the lads and singing my heart out.

Time for them to prove themselves.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Brian Mac has already stated that the Board have backed him and he will get someone in if the right Player or players ( in his opinion, not ours ) become available . I have my opinions who I'd like to see and so does everyone else, but its Brians opinion that counts .

Agree0 Disagree0

Sing as much as you like pal but we ain't bringing Becchio back, bang average and we need better

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang average? Who was our top scorer the last 2 seasons? If he is bang average what have we got now?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2013 13:52:43
Becchio a LUFC modern great but not sure he is what we need as he's not a prolific scorer. OK last year he banged in a lot but let's not forget 6 or 7 were penalties and previous years he was a 1 in 3 striker. Then again that's probably better than we got at the moment! Would welcome him back though as to be fair he only left to try and further his career and get a hefty pay rise which I am pretty sure we would all do the same in similar position. MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The reason he wasnt prolific before last season was because he was working hard creating the goals for beckford but still scoring a good amount of goals. In his first season in the championship he scored 20 goals and in his last half a season he scored 20 he's only had one season where he didn't score that much. Not too bad for 5 and a half years. I still think he along with a few January signings would have taken us up last year but this year could our year and his year

Agree0 Disagree0

Another problem with becchio is he hasn't played regular football and will take 5-6 games to get upto fitness
has he even scored a goal since he left in january.

what if he doesn't score the goals us fans crave? will we be on the owners back to send him back to norwich and get a more prolific scorer in?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2013 13:35:18
Becchio not even on bench today?? Maybe he's in talks with Leeds??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or maybe he's just not good enough

29 Sep 2013 12:50:05
Id love Albrighton he is quick and would cause problems not
Sure about Beccio coming back, E banks Blake would be better

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would you want Ebanks Blake over Becchio now?

Becchio a former fan favourite, knows the club, scored loads for us.

V

Ebanks Blake - broken ankle and broken leg at the end of April, released by Wolves because he couldn't get fit for the season. Still hasn't got a club for the same reasons. Hasn't kicked a ball since April.

Now which would you want?

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd give Ebanks a trial for sure, sign him up before some tinpot side beats us!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your joking. Ebanks Blake?
Now I'd love someone better than becchio but been as that won't happen I'd take becchio like a shot.
But it's important to get the winger to.
Hunt and murphy on bench. Shrew leeds

Would love to see becchio back at elland road

Put the bitterness aside. we're in a bad way at the moment, if Becchio is brought back it can only be a good thing. at least he knows where the goal is!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2013 13:53:46
Agreed. Get him back.
He only left because of that numbnut warlock pushing him out the door in yet another duff deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't know where the Norwich goal is though does he. We need better

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop picking on warnock Bechio wanted £30 grand a week and got it.

Would like Becchio back. People can say 'never go back' and 'let's look to the future' as well as complaining that he left. The reality is he left to better himself. He is Argentinian and not a Leeds fan. He is a professional looking to earn more, something I am sure people can relate to. Football is an industry and it's his career. People who moan because he left are just being unrealistic and applying their love of the club as a fan to a professional player. In fact he was loyal and effective over a prolonged period. Just because he left does not mean he has no affection for the club, as seems likely now with a preference to return to Leeds. He is also a proven goalscorer at this level and at this club. That's a priceless commodity. He knows the fans, the players, the pressures and where the goal is. I also think B McD would get more out of him than the tree goblin NW. He would be ideal. He is also a bit of a legend. Let's go get him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2013 13:56:56
Great post fella.
There should be no bitterness at all toward Luca.
He loved the club in much the same way as Rosco does.
That goblin monkey brain pushed him out. End of.
So let's welcome him back if the rumours come true.

Its happening

Luciano will be a Leeds player again next week.

No matter what you all say, we will all be singing his name again at ER shortly when he is bagging the goals. Love him or hate him for leaving, he is exactly what we need. A goal scorer at this level.

And before any says who will supply him we need a winger. His record last season was excellent before we signed Jerome Thomas

I know we have heard it all before but becchio says that his heart is with Leeds and wants to come back.

Wigan and boro are wanting him but Leeds is where he wants to go.

Norwich keen to offload on loan and 1.8 million move in jan

What's peoples thoughts? Is he the answer to our prayers?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd take tony yeboah or Rod Wallace at the moment anyone has more chance of scoring than the current strike force . We just need hunt to score one of his bum cheek to get a bit if confidence that all strikers need . Would play diouf every game at moment as he seems only one capable of producing a tiny bit of creativity that all other midfielders and strikers seem to lack . Hopefully this is just a confidence thing with some players but think the majority do not have it in there locker even on a good day.

Agree0 Disagree0

No pretending to know anything as a manager etc but my ideal team would be -

Kenny
Peltier wooton Pearce warnock
Austin
Mowatt Murphy
McCormack diouf
Varney

there is no point in crying over spilt milk, we can't change the past, the fact we have lost five of the last six. These are the same players who started positively, and are now suffering lack of confidence.Defeats to qpr, reading and burnley, were not deserved and we should have got draws.Newcastle out played us but they are premiership and have been playing well.Millwall however was a poor performance stemming from confidence sapping defeats where we could have got something. The players need to roll their sleeves up put the past behind them and give their all for club, fans and pride. The team may lack a quality finisher and winger, but we are being told that is being addressed, better late than never. It is not too late it is still early season and can be turned around. Many teams have recovered from poor starts to get promoted. For now it is up to us the one constant at Leeds [the fans ]to lift the players give them confidence to play without fear and get over this blip, until we get the much needed forward reinforcements .So let's stand [ ok sit ] together and roar the lads back to success MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think the fans can do much more, McDermotts name has been sung at every game, but managers live on results and if we don't start winning soon he'll be out.

Well unlike brian I have taken advantage of the loan market and brought in Alex's nimely from man city and sammy amoebi from Newcastle. I hope salah norruudin is telling the truth on twitter and Brian follows up on the funds being offered. The funds should have been put on the table on the summer though instead of now

Just wanted to say watched the four year plan film other day the qpr when they got took over wanted to get in premiership and they got there kind of reminded me of situation Leeds in know they ain't the best example how to do it sacking managers every 5 mins but they had a plan and done it think gfh said sort of the same thing keep the optimism
