Sorry guys but I don’t think we will make the play offs this season. There is a big gap appearing between top two and the sixth place and there is a gap now between us and sixth, so go me it’s going to be a learning season and then next season we should be more consistent. Look at Boro they spent a fortune yet they are behind us, so it’s no disgrace to be where we are. I know I’ve changed my tune towards this season but if we show some progression with stability then it’s all good. MOT

I agree Woody. I know Radz said the target this season was the playoffs but as I've said before, we have a new regime and players that are new to the championship. Having said that, 3 or 4 additions in January in the right positions and you never know!

Woody, Wex, there is a long way to go and I too aim for the stars but reality bites and accept that to just fall short (again) is no catastrophy. So long as we retain continuity, cohesion and a plan we will be well served to be a front runner next season.

3 or 4 in January in the right position would get us top six . We have looked loads better in the last few games. We still need a number of additions to be good enough for automatic and the not to yo-yo. We are working on the foundations across the whole club . Really good to see a few decent results after such a poor run added to the fact that we did not press the panic button. Villa got lucky really, we should have been 2 or 3 up

On the whole agree guys but not sure if big buys in January is the answer. Unless we have a cert then consolidate this year, buy in the summer and push next year.

Come on guys, its the start of December, a lot of football to be played and a lot of twists and turns to come, far too soon to give up on the play offs! How often are the top six in Dec the same at the end of the season? I think we have a team good enough to make the playoffs, let's see where we are come the first of Jan and go from there. One team always comes on a run into the play offs, why can't that be us?

I’m up to 6 dislikes Whiteman about my above post! Even Swadlad gets less dislikes than me! 😂😂 in truth it would be a bonus if we had a blast in the playoffs but we need to build and build again before we are ready to roll in the Premiership, Brighton, Huddersfield, Swansea, West Ham, etc etc are all struggling and they are way ahead of us, so as long as it keeps us in with a shout of the play offs then great but we do still have a long way to go and no quick fix of 3/4 players in January will fix that! Let’s grow and enjoy getting more consistent and let’s look forward to a solid push for promotion instead of stop start season! MOT

Nice one Whiteman mate, I’m seeing more of what your seeing on that pitch! We are not crap but we are not great, at best at the moment I would say average, without Alioski and Siaz, Vierra, Phillips sometimes and Hernandez sometimes we would be stuck! But I have faith in Radz and I think we could be another Brighton, stick with TC for a couple of seasons and a couple of set backs just like them and then promotion. The last thing I want is for us to go up and then down again, that would be a disaster! Let’s go up at the right time and stay up! Simples eh mate! If only. MOT

Think Ekuban still needs to get match fit, the goals will follow. Thought it was Felix and Coopers best games. Coops appeared to slightly hesitate for their goal, if he hadn't could he have blocked it? Hope Saiz doesn't run out of steam/tire and loose some form as he tries so hard. Thought Aliosi got fouled early on and am undecided if he really wanted to know after that. The recruits on loan are not bringing anything to the squad add in Stich and Cibicki who we have nothing from either and the squad is a little light . On the whole we are edging ever closer if a little slower than we would wish, We still need those few players who will bring us up a notch or two .

Mostly agree with you PA, at least we are moving in the right direction. As for recruiting I can see reasons for not spending in January. Unless a long time target becomes available cheap it may be wiser to wait til the easier marketplace of summer. Assuming we can keep our assets intact for next year.

It was a disappointing result last night although not a disaster by any means. The frustrating thing was that Saiz decided to have an off night and although better than Villa for the most part we allowed them back into the game and didn't create enough chances and missed out when we did. The frustrating things stood out. Ecuban is strong, quick, runs the channels and holds the ball up. He can even win balls in the air. Downside? He can't score. Lassaggo. He can do none of those things. What can he do? Answer - Score. Vierra had an excellent game last night. What can't he do? Pass accurately. Saiz? Can do most things Downside? He wants to do it all and often doesn't play in colleagues when he shouldaand over does things. We're almost there. We need a striker like Ecuban but who can finish; A left back that is actually a left back and an attacking, strong and experienced midfielder with a good pedigree. We could do very well.

Got to agree with you Hess. A solution I have for Ekuban is to recreate the Clarke/Jones partnership with him playing the Jones role and a. n. Other playing the poacher role. The main stopper on that thought is TCs love of the one upfront system.

Exactly. One up front is ok sometimes. Why not throw 2 up top and shock opposing teams by a change off system. Ecuban head on or hold up and play in lassago to finish . simples. ⚽️⚽️⚽️👍👍😂. would definitely play 2 up front at home next . go on TC. surprise everyone.

Ok so we got past the villa game, Tc still in post, the play offs still in sight and David O Leary still in his taxi somewhere on the M62! December is the month where we shoukd be capable of lots of goals and points. Lodged in the top six by New Year and the chance for Feliz to settle the nerves, ekuban to deliver on the promise and Lasogga to come back, slim, fit and eager! Then we can spend a bit of Santas Christmas money where needed and progress smotthy into a top two place by the end of the season! No probs!
