Good job he didn't mention refs or robbery, then again he's Leeds so probably get a ban anyway.

Villa certainly looking red hot. We still have 8 points over them though. As well they were slow away.

Another random Mad Frank post
Jack Clarke the new James Milner same head down winger with a goal in him who will turn into hard working midfielder
Don't sell him.

Clarke's better at going past people than Milner ever was.

If you said one Wilder would draw this weekend and the other would lose, who could say they knew it would be the Bronze Deontay who would draw and the Blades who would lose? Probably only Bielsa knew.

Seen a lot of comments about how small our squad is but i am not sure it is. We have had more than our fair share of injuries and not just out for a game or two but out for months. We are still second which sort of shows we do have a strong squad. If Derby, SU, Middlesborough or Derby had suffered the long term losses we have i doubt if any of them would be in the top ten. Yes we are playing young ones but they have proved they are good enough. Huffer, Halme, Shackleton, Clarke have proved they can be counted upon. I would have no worries about Odour, Gotts, Stevens, Edmondson stepping up if needed. Look at the players who are waiting for games, Baker, Roberts, Harrison, players who some other sides would love in their team. So no i do not think we have a weak squad but yes i agree we could do with a couple of additions in Jan to get us ready for Premier league. Half our defensive line is missing but we are not leaking goals. Our only problem is scoring because although i always expect us to get a goal we should be scoring a lot more than we are. If the argument is we should not be relying on U23s then why are they there. It used to be called the reserve team changing it to Academy should not alter what is expected of them.

Bige Makes a refreshing change in boasting a class manager and coaching team. When O'Leary was manager, he once made a remark that he so desired Lucas Radebe to remain with LUFC that he wanted his feet encased in cement. Whilst kinda silly from the Irishman, I'm of a similar view to the Argentine. He's a perfect fit for our club and the work he's currently doing is so good especially with the injuries it would've been considered close to impossible at the beginning of the season. As for January additions, in terms of the outfield, bring me that Gomez fella and I doubt anyone in this league could stop us. Given the rise of Halme and the recuperation prospects of Brown Bamford and Swiss Army Knife, that's all we need in George opinion.

Agree 100 % above.
In Sheff game. The commentator said
Bielsa was world manager of the year with the argirs on 2000 and something.
The man is special. He has belief. And the players believe in him
Average players that have passion and unity. And are beating most.

Villa did us a favour last night, bit of a gap opening up, need to keep winning and widen it even more. On the down side I can see Villa being the team to beat as Smith seems to have them firing on all cylinders.
In Bielsa we trust MOT.

Villa have a good squad with plenty to call on. Bielsa has worked miracles with our players but his liking for a small squad may see us call short especially with the injuries mounting up.

Yes its nice to see a 4 point gap to third. Hope Brentford hold W. Brom. Puts a bit of pressure on the chasing pack. This next month will test everyone.

Mezzer1, his liking for a small squad is part of what makes Bielsa, Bielsa and what helps create a right knit group with a great attitude. He has his chosen first team squad but also all the under 23 players at his disposal as well. He knows that a core group of players are getting the training, enough game time and a grounding in the right game plan.

I think we might be surprised in January but it will have to be the right players with the right attitude.

Agred Spanish the squad should take into account the U23s, many of whom are nigh on first team quality. I would never say no to a QUALITY addition in January but will not panic if we start February with the same squad (and no injuries)

Great win again, they had a lot of the possession but not too many clear chances, big credit to defense and BPF. Thought their keeper had to make a few decent saves but great pressure for our winning goal.
Think PF did well but seems very nervy with balls into box, every corner, I get worried. Think we need an experienced keeper brought in to help him out, would love Heaton.
Great to see that Izzy and Bamford getting closer, hope Izzy is special and can create for the team, need that spark as alioski not good enough. Still feel we need 3-4 players in come Jan, GK, CB, winger + striker.
Bielsa has been amazing with the team and he can get us promoted this season but needs more depth.
Hope ailing back and on form, bring back Coyle as cover.

Agree with virtually all the post but the bit on Alioski . We are 2nd in the table and he has been a constant starter, he has been good enough to help us get to where we are. His role and playing time might change from here on in but he has played an important role in the story of this team and I think he will continue to throughput the year.

Agree with all of that Shad but would be happy with two good signings and everyone back fit. Spanish agree Alioski been a part of team to get us where we are but where would we be if Clarke was 2 year older. Alioski is not playing good enough and he is capable of a lot more. How Bielsa handles him is fine with me but if he carries on with his present form he is not the man for that position.

Shadwell Brown has the capability to be world class.

02 Dec 2018 17:21:58
Got to agree with most of the posts. Alioski for me flatters to deceive. He looks good going forward but but his two major flaws are so very important. For goodness sake, somebody take him aside and teach him when to make a run. To try to stay onside. Secondly his end product for a winger leaves a lot to be desired.

I would never say no to a Quality addition but with the quality coming thro the ranks, the quality on the treatment table and the quality we have out on loan we are not doing too bad for the future.

George mate that’s a bit extreme. Not sure how many times you’ve seen him play? I’ve seen him play twice and he’s a very good player but to say potentially world class I believe a bit strong. I do think he can make a difference to our side on return from injury.
