Klitch broke Dutch league record at weekend with 11 assist in one game. Not given enough of a chance?

30 Apr 2018 20:47:35
Not 11 assists in one game, it was chances created. A record previously held by Eriksen

30 Apr 2018 21:48:06
Ok, not assists, but chances created. The same as Pablo has created more chances than any other player in this league, this year, so yes Martyn, worth another shot, defo.

Assists, chances whatever. I knew what I ment lol

Well, if people keep on saying give Hecky a chance next season then Klich has to have a chance

Agree2 Disagree0

01 May 2018 07:49:53
Agree, bring him back and give him next season, there was a lot of hype about him. He got injured and never got a chance, maybe a new manager will get beat out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2018 09:10:18
Played out of position as many are at leeds and critasised for it

Agree2 Disagree0

01 May 2018 13:38:11
I think he only played once or twice Martyn and never got a chance to find his feet.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 May 2018 17:53:33
True Alf. He's more an attacking creative midfielder and we been playing two defensive style players there

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2018 19:29:54
Agree Alf. To make an informed decision on any player he has to be given a run.

Bartley suffers a second knee injury in eight months. Given Swansea wanted Β£8m for him, that is far too much money to spend on a risky signing. Get Helander in for next year.

Agree SG a fit Bartley is just what we need but with a bad knee would have to be put thro the wringer by our medical team.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 18:27:51
Barts got another serious knee injury, so let's hope he goes to brum now. Puts paid to that one, then!

30 Apr 2018 19:18:16
In all honesty I think we got the very out of Bartley when he was with us, he played every game then went back to Swansea and it’s all gone pear shaped for him sadly!

30 Apr 2018 21:49:49
Yep Mike. Feel for the fella. A football career is short, and he's lost a lot of it lately.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 23:54:02
I agree Brightwhite, he doesn’t deserve his bad luck as he is an honest and hard working footballer, the likes of which are few and far between at Elland Road!

01 May 2018 09:33:03
If he's injured then we're bound to sign him up ;)

My hope is that Hecky is keeping his powder dry and his options open (forgive me) . In his mind he knows 100% who to dump but does not have the means or opportunity, yet, to act. Given the summer he can recruit players with the right skill and mindset then dump all the bodies that he feels have let him and the club down. To have replaced all the failures with young guns over the past few weeks would have been a step too far. Too much of a gamble for both him and any young gun concerned. I therefore look forward with great interest the "released list" this summer. I bet there will be one or two surprises for us all. I still believe that with only 2 or 3 auspicious signings and some internal promotions we will have the impetus to challenge next season.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

30 Apr 2018 15:27:55
You in la la land leo. Hecky doesn't have managerial skill whatsoever so he won't improve us even if he succeeds in eradicating the deadwood. If you sincerely think only 2 or 3 quality signings are needed for a promotion push you are utterly deluded. 7 signings of quality are needed.

30 Apr 2018 15:44:18
Hopin for the same Leodis. going to be either a very interesting summer, or bloody awful one! ? Just waiting to find out which it is! (Mystic meg predicts responses starting with "it's going to be bloody awful if Radz / Orta / PH / all, have anything to do with it! πŸ˜‚) .

Spot on Bright its the blind leading the blind no confidence in any of the 3 my season ticket money is staying in my pocket nothing short of utter shambles

30 Apr 2018 16:18:53
I know where you are coming from George but let's have faith in some of the young guns. If you split it into thirds. Keep 3/4. Promote from U23s, 3/4. Then add 3/4 new (quality) signings will see a turnaround and a promotion push. If not you are overlooking some of our promising U23s (and loanees) The likes of Ideguchi, Roberts, Machuca, Dalby, Wilks, Shagnessy, Coyle Denton etc. etc. All I am hoping is that 3 or 4 of them come good and so far so good. Yes I agree a major shake up is required but let's see what the summer brings and let's see how Hecky performs next season with his team, playing his way.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 16:40:03
Leo. You keep posting this 2 or 3 shrewd signings required guff. Does your keyboard not have a one or a zero? Surely you mean 12 or 13. Or more realistically given Ortas success rate, 20 or 30

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 17:36:19
Must agree speedy Heck has shown no sign of managerial skills team selection subs motivation plus hell still have to deal with Ortas new bunch of naff recruits if things stay the same itll be another season waasted the buck stops with Radz i'm afraid because his decision making has been farcical

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Apr 2018 17:38:04
In my view for what it's worth, we have no hope of any success next season with Heckingbottom and Orta involved. After early promise I am losing faith in Radz as well.

Look on the bright side, Luke Murphy will be back next season to bolster our midfield options :)

I thought same thing Notts. On form of current players, he'd take a place on the bench sadly.

George. Even more sadly. He might start

Klich just created 11 chances in one game. The last player to do that in the Eredivisie was Christian Eriksen. But yeah he's nowhere near as good as O'Kane, Phillips and Vieira. πŸ˜‚

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2018 11:55:27
Always rated Klich, and he is showing what he is capable of. Do not think we used him right. We play everyone out of position though. My only concern is he would not have as much space in championship but class players adapt, that is if they are given the time.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 11:56:35
Pretty sur with could do that in the Dutch league πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

From what I've seen of him I'd agree with your sarcastic post :) apart from O'Kane, rather have Murph back

All of the loans out need to be given a chance in pre season, and shipped out if still not upto it.

I said i would give him till the end of the season before judging him and now we are just about there must say Hecky is not the man for the job. It is not just the results and performances, although woeful, that have made me come to this decision. Its also his inability to lift the players and gee them up. He is forced into playing two young ones, Pearce and Paudi, who play better than the ones they replaced, then puts them back on the bench for no reason. He has young players travelling with first team with no intention of playing them in games that are meaningless and ideal to blood them in. I believe he is just a yes man and and doing what he is told. Young ones being around the first team gets their names in the papers and ups their profiles. If he thinks they are good why not play them or is it media spin. Do not get me wrong think quite a few young ones are talented and deserve a chance but we are not using them right. He had the time to blood some of these over the last five or six games but all that's happened is we have talked about how good they are and seen nothing. Now we will take them to Burma and give them all malaria.

01 May 2018 05:28:55
Absotively posilutely agree with you 100% Bige. He is playing to get a result so he can save his own skin. Last week he showed zero interest ineveloping the team or the yong ones. The onge good transfer we need for next eason is a Manger who canbring the best out of the players/team.

30 Apr 2018 09:32:22
Stop with all this talk of Andy Yiadom. A supposedly chased by the big boys. Good at left and right back. Do we need him on the right? Ayling/Coyle (Berardi) . Do we need him on the left Pearce/Denton (DeBock) or are we saying to the young guns, thanks but no thanks, we will buy in answers to problems. So much for giving youth a chance.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2018 10:08:25
He was the worst player on the pitch as well the other day!

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 10:08:35
Berardi and de bock will be sold, and Denton, so will Anita, and Denton will be put on loan.

Agree0 Disagree2

30 Apr 2018 11:26:01
Yiadom is dreadful. Being constantly linked with Barnsley players says Heck will still be in charge next season. Another season to write off then. πŸ˜‘

Paul Heckingbottom calls for a "change in mentality" Why didn't he do this 10 games ago?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2018 10:33:12
Calls for a change in mentality but continues to pick the players with the poor mentality. I accept he has limited options but will need to take responsibility next season for picking players with the right mentality with coaching them in effective game management.

TC had the same players playing decent football so hopefully PH isn't here next season.
