as debouchy's arrival at newcastle is close, danny simpson's contract is out in the summer, worth a punt?

It would be good if we could cash in on varney, nunez, kisnorbo, pugh, conolly, rachukba - surely that would come to 1 million

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I dont actually think all them players are even worth a mil. its embarrasing just give them to doncaster or something.

Wages for wat there on could add up and get a decent player or two

Agree1 Disagree0

All of players you mentioned won't even come to 100k.

Agree4 Disagree2

We could do buy 1 get 1 free offer!

Agree3 Disagree0

Unfortunately, most would go on frees as no club in the lower leagues would pay a fee and what will be quite high wages for lower league clubs..

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody gonna buy Nunez he's out for season.
Varney a flop lge 1 standard
Connolly crap
Kisnorbo well past his best
Pugh nobody will pay his 9kpw wages
Floppy hands no takers
Leeds will have to pay a %of contracts to get them out of club.
Kella74

Agree4 Disagree0

I think we should arrange a "developement squad" game in outer Mongolia, fill the squad with all the deadwood players mentioned above and then just leave them there, nobody will miss them :o)

Agree4 Disagree0

Can't Kisnorbo do a job any more?
He was immense against Man U... ok, that was a while ago.

Agree0 Disagree2

If nw couldn't sign who he wanted should have played kids who would die for the shirt . instead he brought in varney gray and uses brown and brought peltier . should have played kids then waited til Jan to bring in the quality he wanted with new boards backing Karl mot

Will you all stop posting rumours around about becchio and byram are leavening because Niel Warnock and GFH Capital will not sell the import players less there is a big problem.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Correct, and mick jones said yesterday that byram is staying at Leeds

Grant leadbitter and chris eagles. 18 assist between them, left to right thomas-austin-leadbitter-eagles
Both less than a million, id say pretty good mid to be fair ?

Believable9 Unbelievable2

They would both be very expensive and leadbitter wouldn't come. I think we tried to get him last year on a pre-contract but boro offered him more.

I posted a few weeks ago that c wood was Leeds striking target but we could not compete with lecister.(I got told we could and I'd made it up ) I said we will end up with King, But he wants to stay at Brum.Hope it's not going to be knock back after nock back. And Warnock will not be sacked this season, it was part off the tearms involved in the take over. Only way he goes is If bates drops them terms.

Dont think there in to much of a rush to spend the cash
they will wait until the end of the season, They will spend the next few months touting for a new manager
and they will have someone in mind

Why are people saying that GFH dont have the money? How can anyone possibly know this? If on February 1st we haven't invested at least 4 million then i'm with you, but give them a chance. They are an investment company after all, plus if Mr Haigh is a leeds fan then he will want us up. I do sympathise with the NW haters though, I was happy when he came but obvious doubts from player selections and strange tactics. Maybe he will prove us wrong in January and get rid of Brown, Pugh etc, if not I would love to see O'Driscoll here cos his sacking was a joke. MOT, Vinny.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

That was good till you suggested o'Driscoll

Agree4 Disagree1

Because there has been no indication from the manager of any imminent arrivals, or significant negotiations. hopefully that is just because they don't trust him with their money, but who knows.

Agree1 Disagree1

We jusrt signed ryan hall. thats an arrival in my book.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeh we sign players then bench them. Great improvement and even better sign players that are already playing but are no improvement on what we have.

Agree2 Disagree0

Theres been plenty of indication about arrivals. NW has said he is in talks with Stoke, Swansea and West Brom over Tonge, Tate and Thomas as well as admitting we were in for Chris Wood and saying he expects two new players to be signed in time for the Barnsley game on the 12th. How much more indication do you want? He can hardly publicly name his targets and give a date that they'll sign.

Agree3 Disagree0

Mcgugan and boyd already in talks , for all you whinging doubters

Agree1 Disagree2

Imo O, Driscoll would be ideal. Very underrated, he got Donny up on a shoestring with very good football and when they were struggling they had about 15 injuries and he got the sack. Then hes doing a good job at forest and gets sacked. He plays nice football and signs players with potential. Most will disagree and thats fair enough but just my opinion, Vinny.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have nothin against o'driscoll and think he is a good manager, just had hoped for someone who got some experience of prem football with contacts with established prem clubs and does play good football....

So i have just read an article about Leeds losing out to Leicester in signing the Kiwi goal scorer Chris Woods, Due to Leeds not being able to match Leicester's 1.25 million winning bid with the fee rising to a possible 2 mill. I find this quite alarming that the new owners are not capable of competing with the Foxes, According to Warnock no one can compete with the Foxes in this League, so just what does this say about GFHC ? So the question is were all the rumours true about them having no money, January will tell the true tale one thinks......MOT
MJB66

Believable7 Unbelievable4

It says we aren't spending crazy money on a striker who is no better than what we have already

Agree4 Disagree2

Cardiff can compete with Leicester they spent 12 million quid in the summer on players more than leicester spent.

Agree2 Disagree2

It's not so much the transfer fee, as the wages. Leicester are willing to offer £25k plus for low level championship players...house of sand as we know.

Agree10 Disagree0

When leicester's benefactors get bored the club will completely self-destruct. I'm glad our owners are building something sustainable that could exist without them - paying chris wood 30k a week, or paying beckford 38k is not that.

just as long as they don't do a bates and farm out our all our good players i'm happy. we'd be top two right now with any two of johnson, snod, howson, gradel

So warnock has a record 7 promotions. Well I say behind every good man is a great woman. My point is that his coaching staff included a certain Keith Curle who is no longer with him so does anyone else think he was the man behind his success. Look at the wise, poyet combination. Once Poyet departed we lost it. Also what about the Clough, Taylor combination, Clough was nothing without Taylor. Just saying. I like all Leeds fans want the best for the club.as soon as possible.

Believable19 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2012 20:17:52
I posted a very similar comment last week and this is something that has concerned me since Warnock took over. I feel this may have a lot to do with the fact that Warnock suddenly seems absolutely clueless.

Agree4 Disagree0

Keith Curle you are talking crap mate. he's only worked with warnock for a handful of years..

Agree0 Disagree6

He is a defender by nature, where we are lacking and also has a good record of winning away from home, again where we are lacking. Just saying that the combo of them both is something that we may be missing.

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 17:56:58
Getting back to basics our defence is not good enough.

Before new players we need an excellent defensive coach. Arsenal brought back Steve Bould, why can't we look for ex world renown defender. Get organised.

Then look for prem defenders not getting games but still have the skill and desire for championship.

Our midfield lacks creativity we need someone who can turn a game with the correct pass or movement. There are plenty who currently sit on the bench of premiership clubs.

I think Warnock is wrong I believe two of our three strikers currently will score goals given the right service. A third striker who once he's had games will do the same.

Our home form is not bad 7 wins in the league 4 in the cup
3 league losses but one of which we were down to 9 men, and 2 league draws which means we have made more points at home than the bottom three clubs have made in total.

We have the best away following in the league so believe the players with the right mind set (play away games as if they were playing at home) using our fans could change their away form.

Honestly I think we need four players and an excellent and experienced defender to become our defensive coach. {Ed037's Note - I agree, someone like Robert Koren or Mark Davies would be perfect in midfield (no chance of getting those two though!)... and i think we have the makings of a solid defence, they just need to be taught HOW TO DEFEND!}

Believable9 Unbelievable1

How about putting the call through to the chief himself, ..Lucas. ( Radebe, not The Cat!)for defensive coach, then if things didnt work out end of season for NW re promotion, Lucas could simply take over.
Obviously untested but i think he would make an excellent manager.

LLHB MOT

Agree11 Disagree3

Lucas did say not so long back that one day he would love to manage leeds.

Agree5 Disagree1

I'd agree Lucas as a defensive coach, but why oh why do we always want ex-players as managers when they have little or no experience. We can do better than taking a punt on an ex-player as a manager, let them be remembered for what they were good at.

Agree7 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 21:41:41
I know it is not always the best idea to go for ex players for manager but in the case of the Chief i would make an exception. I feel he could restore the trust and pride that has been worn away in the last few years. He could grow in to the role and bring the kids along as well. They could be known as Radebe's Rugrats!!

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 17:51:32
Guys i have to say i genuinely feel Warnock isnt big enough for the club, for me he has to go before he spends our funds on utter rubbish!! his style of play is from the 1970s and he still persists in playing long ball football with one striker, i cant see it myself and then we have at least 8 players that for me will not get us promoted, the likes of kenny, peltier, diouf, varney, white, pugh, brown, pearce are not good enough at this level and i feel they are holding us back and byram needs more experience before he gets thrown in at this level, he is a great prospect but is too gung hoe and gets caught out often as his ball in the final third isnt good enough yet and we get caught out down the flanks every time, its just my view and i feel we need to galvanise the team in all areas

Believable3 Unbelievable11

If you think diouf isnt good enough at this level then your deluded pal

Agree14 Disagree5

We need to build the team around Sam byram and give other youth players a chance along with experience to help them along with

Agree7 Disagree2

30 Dec 2012 20:03:12
I agree, we have an abundance of young talent, Cairns, Killock, Gimple, Taylor, Turner x 2, Thompson, Payne, Lenighan, Dawson, Poleon, get them involved now, if they are good enough they are old enough.

Agree5 Disagree1

Only Dawson and Poleon are anywhere near the first team

Agree1 Disagree3

It's not a question of whether diouf is good enough mate it's a case of playing him wide or in midfield behind strikers he doesn't score enough to be a striker Karl mot

for me Warnock as got until mid January to turn things around with a few million to spend .if improvement is shown by then he should be given another few million to really push for promotion but if no improvement by mid January then he should be sacked

Agree3 Disagree4

Why give warnock millions and until mid January then more millions then until end of Jan, I for one have seen enough of his tactics to say i no longer want him as Leeds manager. Even if we had enough money and bought the Man U team he would still have us playing long ball and keep our best players on the bench. Warnock is passed his sell by date.

Agree7 Disagree1

I too am a season ticket holder and have been for a while and i pay £520 a season so i will moan about the team when i feel they play mediocre football, and ill moan about the manager when i think his team selection and tatics are wrong....
you need to stop worrying about what other fans are doing and concentrate on your own individual support

Agree10 Disagree4

Ed007 maybe not pal but let's get it straight how many games you been to in last 12 months and does your wife no you spend all your time dressed in her clothes sat at the PC pretending to know anything about football {Ed007's Note - So which big team do you follow when you aren't watching Leeds?}

Agree3 Disagree2

A true fan is not one who will settle for years of mediocrity and as well as a season ticket you can also set up a direct debit into Bates and warnocks bank accounts. The reason there is unrest with the fans is because we do not get value for money (in fact it is only the fans that are actually worth watching...well done blue santa's) If you want to settle for average go to Huddersfield, I want the best at Leeds and at this moment we aint got it.
If you pay fror a season ticket you are the customer and you have bought the entitlement to moan if you want?? Go away dog botherer

Agree6 Disagree3

Haha well saiddd mate

Agree4 Disagree0

Ermm have we or have we not just been taken over?.fair enough you pay your money but come on we've been under bates for how long, finally after all the f###ing about for the last year we have rid of him from a decision point yes we have been poor yes we need players in but at least give Neil the chance to build a team with some cash if at the end of feb where in the same position then start questioning his position.

Agree1 Disagree5

If Warnock is given money and builds a team only for him to be leaving in may for someone else to come in and dismantle the team to put their own stamp on it, it does not make sense. Warnock should be given the green light for loan deals then if it goes nipples up then we give players back if there is promotion the new manager could have the opportunity to keep them on

Agree4 Disagree1

30 Dec 2012 20:41:10
People pay alot of money week in and week out to watch our beloved team play , or try to play , football or should i say hoofball. Is this site not a place we can vent our anger at a shambles of a team , of which i have sujpported through good and bad , for over 40 yrs. We have a manager , and i use the term lightly, who is seeing out his days until he buggers off in May ( i hope well before ) and has no passion for this club. We deserve someone who will kick the players @rses when they put in dire displays like they have over the last two games and others before that instead of saying ' ah well they are a better team than us , onto the next game '
People aren't bitching , its called passion for a club that we all love and hate to see playing worse than a bloody Sunday league team and players that thinks its funny to be 4 goals down.
P.S if i didn't 'bitch' on here our lass would get it

Agree4 Disagree0

Ah Ah....plebs? Classic! Vinny.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 21:34:20
Exactly, get Kenny and Brown out of the team now, they don't deserve the privilege of wearing the shirt. I would rather see Cairns and Thompson anyday and if Warnock condones their behaviour by continually picking them get him out too.

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 16:53:41
I'd get rid of Warnock asap, he is only used to managing small teams and QPR would never have gone up without Tarrett in the team and the vasts amounts of money spent. The Leeds team of 2 years ago would beat the current team, easy. We need a young hungry manager with vision.
Take your pick of these two up and coming managers..

1. Paulo Di Canoi.

2. Gus Poyet.

Give these 9 million to spend and we would go up.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

30 Dec 2012 17:20:53
I would love to see paulo di canio, i aint too keen on poyet myself or di matteo! another name for me would be radebe if he fancied it!! we need more flair, warnock is clueless, playing has beens like brown and varney and long ball football!! awful!!

Agree4 Disagree3

I'd have Radebe as a defensive coach not as a manager without him being a coach or assistant manager first me thinks.

Agree5 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 19:03:12
Personally i would not worry that it would be Radebe's first job in management. I think he would rapidly install a sense of pride and belief in the club again which is exactly what we need. GFH, if you really want to listen to the fans, cock your ear in this direction!

Agree1 Disagree1

As a Leeds fan fan of almost 40 years i must say i find it totally laughable how all the so called fans are turning so fast on NW, Have you all forgotten he had to build a complete new team, yes admittedly they weren't his first choice players by a long shot, and weren't the players we wanted to see, but thats what we have for now so lets stop slagging them and Warnock and get behind them.

Agree2 Disagree4

He didn't have to build a complete new team at all... he chose to do that. He's actually spent rather a lot of money. Yes, he's signed cheap and free but each of those freebies will have had a significant signing-on fee and wages.
Quality, not quantity is what we're missing and what we have been missing for some time.
Warnock will not provide this and never will. Finally, other Leeds fans are waking up to Warnock's lack of longevity.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 16:39:17
whats the bets that after QPR's humiliation at the hands of Liverpool, Rednapp get shut of some deadwood. Guess where they will go??
Hill and Derry to name only two, still better than we have already.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

30 Dec 2012 16:12:13
Warnock shoud go his win ratio is not good, loan signings and old pros will not get us promotion, we need a manager who will bring on and keep the youngsters and who has a good eye for a player in
the transfer market

Believable6 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2012 16:05:28
Message to Warnock: The definition of insanity is repeating the same mistakes over and over and expecting a different outcome (Michael Brown, Luke Varney, the long ball etc.) And selecting Lee Peltier as club captain!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Do you watch matches? Brown and Varney have been our best players

just a thought, if warnock went what about kenny jacket?i know some will think no way, and i can understand that but millwall have always been hard to beat are well organised and he has done well with little money to spend, i think he would be a decent candidate, at least we would have a bit of bite about us plus he seems to get the best out of his squad,

Believable4 Unbelievable6

More to do with the Millwall atmosphere than manager that makes them hard to beat.

Agree5 Disagree4

I championed for him on here when Grayson got the push. Good call I think but part of me now thinks we need to aim higher if the investment is there

If gfh decide to let Warnock stay and sign a few players he should only have a few games in the new year.im guessing if things don't change soon he will get the sack after January

Believable2 Unbelievable3

NW won't get the sack. He has a contract til the end of season. If GFH-C are bright enough, they should simply pay off NW for the remainder of his contract now and back a new manager well-versed in modern day football. NW can still walk away with his head held high citing mutual consent. Maybe give him a little bonus for enduring a year of lies from KB....

I would like to see a "go for it" approach against bolton
Ashdown in goal
three at the back Lees Tate and Pearce
five across the park with Byram on the right and Thomas or Hall on the left Norris or Austin and Green in the middle with Diouf playing between them, he could be the play maker we are looking for?
up front Beccio and McCormack
Full on attack getting out to the wings diouf spraying it about from the middle
This is not ideal but the best we have:o(

Looks balanced to me, and 3-5-2 is the best way to play against the popular 4-5-1.

I sit down when I wee, as I cannot trust what my backside will do! Maybe an age thing. I cannot trust what NW will do either ....

Im with most of the leeds fans on this one, i think warnock ius definately the right manager because its neil warnock, he has been there, done it and the master of promotion. i mean i wish you leeds fans would stop moaning about the signings being terrible and that the football is drab and that we are losing nearly every game, and had the worst thrashings the club has ever seen at elland road since warnock joined, who Cares! its Warnock and you wont find better manager than him around. who cares if the team are obviously rubbish, i like the most leeds fans i speak to think we are much better off now than when we were vying for promotion with grayson. grayson never had it did he! he didnt know how to defend! at least warnock is a big name.and who cares if we relegated, we have warnock! in warnock we trust. ps graysons signing were terrible! at least warnock has brought in world class players and hes definately the right manager to take us forward, especially with him retiring at the end of the season. may i add the coaching staff of ronnie jepson and ronnie jepson plus ronnie jepson is world class. class defence, attack, ball control coach. long live warnock.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Funny man, who do you support?

Agree4 Disagree3

First reply man.....The original poster is right, we are interested in results today and as it stands Warnocks win ratio is pants to say the least. His reputation is not winning us matches, the points and goal difference do not lie, take a look and if your happy with that then you may as well support Huddersfield. Take your lack of ambition elswhere.

Agree6 Disagree1

Is that you Neil?

Agree3 Disagree0

I think there is a hint of sarcasm in the original post !!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Original poster, lufc fan, I apologise for my sarcastic rant. I was having a go at the leeds fans who actually worship Warnock and claim that we are still going to get promoted and that Grayson was rubbish. I can't believe how many fans I have to bit my tongue with who still slag Grayson off and hype up Warnock when the proof is in the pudding.last season I attended every game and actually enjoyed the matchday football. Even the Birmingham game when Simon got sacked I thought if we had took our chances we would have won that day.then Warnock came in, and after the forest game, I coukdnt attend another game that season. So far this season I've supported him, been to every game until after the Watford game, I cannot bare to watch the football that is ooffer from the club.£36 a games a lot of money when you have a family and budgets. I coukdnt even find it in myself to go to the Chelsea game. Watched it on sky instead. What we had under Grayson was that spirit of promotion and ambition to get promoted again, that spirit left soon as he got sacked. I'm not saying get Grayson back, but the current management team is not working. We need a fresh approach.a big name.a bit of excitement.an exciting player or two coming through the door.I'm not talking tonge, Thomas, Tate. Tell me this , whose looked better in goal for us this season Kenny or ashdown? Ashdown for me. I'm envious of Brighton, bridge left back ! Makail smith up front. Watford vydra is superb.chalobah? Where the hell were our scouts? Another rant over I can go on forever.

I dont think there is much wrong with our defence, its our midfield that needs sorting. Brown is pants. We need a creative midfielder and a player like gradel on the wing. If can win balls in midfield other teams will just walk through us, like yesterday. No service from mf for our forwards either.

First time post ! but as a genuine Leeds fan for the past 40 years I guess I feel like the rest of you. There is a couple of things that anger me .. 1 is that we all know football is about scoring goals ! so to see that we had our 1st on target attempt in the 91st min yesterday says it all. 2 have you noticed the goal difference column, not just this year but the last few years have been the same, yet it has never been addressed. 3 Only my opinion but any great sportsman or team need three things .. Ruthlessness, passion & quality (Hate to say it but Ferguson & Schumacker sum that up for me) but what do we have year on year 4 It baffles me how the likes of Wigan can compete and remain in the prem for the last 7/8 years and yet our great club has become anything but these days. And finally I live in Swindon, Paulo de Canio was furious and tore his team to shreds the other week when Swindon 'beat' top of the table Tramere 5-0 why because we missed a penalty .. his passion, desire and ruthless streak is what Leeds need. It just baffles me that for several years the management just seem content to keep this great club in the doldrums. Something has to change as it is just isnt acceptable .. but sadly i can not see it happenning at present.

Believable17 Unbelievable0

Agree with you about di Canio, warnocks teams have been labelled in the same way over the years......not sure what has happened over the last few games

Why is it every time we play someone (Leicester, Cardiff, Hull, Palace) Warnock says they're the best team in the league. I don't care if they are all I care about is Leeds and he should be doing the same. We need some better players or this will be the league we are staying in. Brown is awful, Varney is awful, Ryan Hall has played well once yet we sign him..... I'm very confused as to what is going on?? We need players that are going to get us promoted not warm the bench. 4/5 key signings are needed or we may as well ride out the season and go fresh in the summer.

I think DJ Campbell would be a good signing as his loan at Ipswich is up in January he has 10 goals in 16 appearances and has a bit of pace, would be the perfect complement for Becchio. Warnock likes him as he signed him for QPR and he has already looked at a Premiership striker that's done well on loan in Chris Wood plus he has said he expects 2 new players in by the Barnsley game on the 12th which coincides with the end of Campbell's loan. A possibility I think and would be a good signing too.

I am worried that we may not get the financial backing from GFH that we all think we are going to get. Looking at warnock against forest and against hull he looks like a man whose given up hope, just standing there with hands in pockets, not as animated as what he normally is. This tells me that hes been told that not much money will be available to him in Jan and if this is the case it wouldnt surprise me if we see him walk in the coming weeks, i think he got his tactics right yesterday its just his team selection that wonders me, he insists on playing brown but with brown in the team we dont create anything and to leave out becchio and thomas is very disappointing, like i said i dont think GFH have got the money and i think warnock will walk, i just hope this isnt the case because i still think warnock is the man for the job. MOT.

Believable6 Unbelievable8

I didnt see any tactics yesterday, just hoof, hoof, hoof. It wasnt until the 91st minute that paddy rolled the ball to a Leeds player instead of wellying it into the air. Something needs to change desperately

Agree11 Disagree0

Again thats down to team selection. look when we have tonge he goes and takes it from the centre halves or from kenny, he then gives it to thomas diouf etc. with brown and austin in the team together we are forced to hoof the ball. Kenny and the centre halves dont feel confident in giving the ball to either of them so you tell me what they are meant to do?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest gfh don't have a pot to piss in

Agree5 Disagree5

I think gfh are going to be worst than old ken they mite splash the cash when their is an upturn in the world markets as i think thats where the money comes from so it dont look good for us boys and girls for a year or to yet. bulldog

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm actually more worried that GFH WILL back Warnock.
Hoping they give him nowt this season and invest heavily when a professional football manager gets the job in the summer

Everyone seems to be hating on warknock but to be fair he's probably done the best of a bad situation, look at the money he had avalible. I'm sure the squad wouldn't be this poor if he could really add the players he wants. I personally don't believe we need a striker yes add pace but we need creativity in midfield, and a defender to sure up defence, of the loanees how many would you keep I'd only consider Tomas as when he can he was good.a little dip in form but everything was going though him.

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Warnocks record at Leeds is worse than Grayson's and he has had more dosh to spend?? explain that for me please!

Agree24 Disagree1

More money? I don't think so.

Agree4 Disagree19

Warnock's competing in a much tougher championship. No comparison.

Agree2 Disagree17

Warnock has spent more on his fullbacks than Grayson had. Two outstanding fullbacks NOT

Please define a "tougher Championship"?
Are there fewer teams promoted and more relegated? have all the players become better all of a sudden? if so the England team is going to be a good one this time round. It is the same second tier as it has always been stop making excuses for the manager, he was brought in to do a job, get us promoted. All he has done is ship out Graysons team and replace it with the same crap. OK your going to harp on about him not having any money, well he knew that when he took the job and still told us he is looking to get us promoted. All leagues are tough if you do not have a good team and we certainly fit that bill at the moment. Are you crap at your job and blame the tools?

Half a mill for pugh! Can't even give him away-nuff said

Agree1 Disagree0

Pugh bad signing I agree but warnock has paid more for peltier and I would be mad if I found him!

Agree5 Disagree0

Over 1m wasted on Pugh and peliter, plus since whites new contract (pay rise) he's hardly played. Reckon this current squads wages will be higher than Grayson's squad.

I don't understand why Warnock is targeting a striker? We have four good strikers as it is, we need to be buying a left back, a centre back & a creative midfielder! Oh how I long for when we had Becchio, Gradel, Snodgrass & Howson attacking. Imagine that with Austin and Green holding then a back four of Byram, Lees, a fit AOB & Lichaj in front of Kenny.

I can dream can't I?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

AOB was rubbish rather have Pearce

Agree5 Disagree3

AOB was good when he first joined. But like Tate and every other defender that joined on loan over the last couple of years (e.g. Robinson), 4 games in and they play sh!t because our defence coach (if we have one) is sh!t. If I was Tate, I would get the hell out of ER and salvage his career at a football-playing club. sawfeet

Agree2 Disagree0

AOB was absolutely phenomenal for the first 6 months of his contract, then he got injured and came back with all his problems and was never the same..

Come on GFH get the cheque book out, we need six QUALITY players and dam QUICK! PA

Believable17 Unbelievable0

GFH Don't have a lot of cash to spend, so it will be more loans and only spend what cash is raised through transfers out. In other words - same old, same old !

Sad to see the team performing like a 'yo yo'... up down each week with no consistency. I like NW and some of the payers seem ok but results worry fans, owners, investors. Inevitable that too many losses will write the season off and NW will go. Can only see attendances dropping off and frustrations are already showing. Next 3 are Bolton, Barnsley, Bristol. If we fail to get at least 6 points I think Neil needs to evaluate his position. Crack the whip and get them performing or take a hike.

Look guys I am a Leeds fan through thick and thin and adore our beloved club but lets be real for a second. GFH are not gonnna spend stupid money this window. So all you dreamers linking us with Malouda and other mega earners are in noddyland. We must put our trust in the future and bring in some young blood ready for next season, people who actually want to wear our famous white shirt instead of looking at their pay cheques. Our current squad is nowhere near good enough to make the playoffs so lets blood the youth and go full tilt next year. MOT.

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Wow a realist great shout lets get a couple of decent players in for this league not people wanting a major wage ........... Kevlufc

We do not know what GFH mean by stupid money there perspective on stupid may be higher than ours!

No Leeds fan wants to get on the manager or the players back BUT conceding 42 goals in a half season statistically is relegation form not promotion form. Ask yourself a question and be honest if you had just spent £52m you want to make £8m available =£60m spent plus future wages.......what would you do ? The line between a bad and a good investment COULD rely on one decision who do you trust to get success for you??

If warnock did get sacked does anyone think Paul Lambert would be a good replacement. I know he's doing rubbish at Villa but took Norwich up from L1 and Championship and then did good un the prem with them. I think he would be a good pick.

Believable10 Unbelievable18

30 Dec 2012 11:02:52
How can anyone click no to this?? Paul Lambert would be a fantastic choice. Have we forgotten what he did for Norwich in this division?

Agree5 Disagree9

Lambert will turn it around at Villa. Very good manager.
Highly unlikely we'd be able to tempt him to Leeds

Agree1 Disagree1

Once Villa sack him, which knowing Villa won't be long he would jump at the chance to manage Leeds, still rather have Warnock though..

Corrrrr everyone so quick to moan after a few defeats, sort it outttt! you will all stop moaning if we win the next 3 games and get into the play offs. give warnock a chance he has not spent anything yet! Atleast we can see a bigger picture after jan, if we dont sign anyone then i will join all you moaners.

Believable9 Unbelievable14

We are not moaning because we have lost a coaple of games we are moaning because we have conceded 42 goals already this season, we are moaning as we have a crap defence , we are moaning as we have a useless out of date manager, we are moaning as bates is still our chairman, we are moaning as we have to pay premiership prices for average championship football, we are moaning as we will not get promoted this season due to our poor defence, we are moaning as we have had this crap for 8 years now, we are moaning as we have crap players like varney, brown and Peltier, we are moaning as this is a forum where you are allowed to moan , and we are moaning because we pay our money week in week out and have every right to moan. Do you go to any games? Because if you do, you really cannot have much to be happy about. Plastic fans go away. Mot.

I go to every game home & away, what exactly are you moaning about again?

What we have at the moment is pure carp.
Please imagine this plausible team

Kenny
Bryam lees Pearce White
Austin Tonge Green
Thomas Lambert Antonio

All managed by Gus Poyet.

Be chio, Ross, McCail smith, Tate, Norris

Is it just me or is that a team with flair, strength, pace, youth and experience?

Less than 2, 000, 000 spent.

Believable0 Unbelievable17

Less than 2m spent on which of lamberts feet? or the compo for poyet? or mcail smith?

Agree5 Disagree0

Aidy White at left back? That lad can't defend for toffee let alone the new improved contract he has. A midfield with Tongue in...average. I presume you mean Lambert from Southampton who scored again yesterday in the Prem League, so not available. And Antonio from Wednesday a bitter Yorkshire rival with a wealthy owner? Unlikely mate.

Agree8 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 06:14:14
Less than 2 million spent .how much you think Lambert and cms will cost ?

Agree6 Disagree0

Have you watched Pearce, lees and white try to defend? With the help of kenny, Tate and peltier they have already conceded 42 goals this season, we would be letting in enough goals with this defence to get relegated.

i really dont wanna hate warnock and i do think he has the know-how to get us into the premier league i mean cmon look at the mans track record , but to me it seems like he isnt even trying at leeds. His past teams have all had solid defence and he normally brings in some class players but wtf is he doin with leeds hes bringing in players tht are either mediocre or way past it (brown, kenny) this isnt the same warnock we're use to seeing at other squads and i think it would be in the owners best interest to look elsewhere for a manager who not only can bring leeds back to its glory days but WANTS to bring leeds back to the glory days....and i know its only been 2 losses on trot but cmon even when we win its a rubbish performance when was the last time we outplayed anyone? even when we beat southhampton and everton it was because they played poor not because we played well.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

He never brought in Brown. That was Grayson.

Agree2 Disagree0

Now he's got some real money to play with lets see what he can do. The first thing i say, is send Tate packing back home. I'm not surprised that lad carn't get in the Swansea team, CLUELESS!!!
We need a good pacey striker to put teams on the back foot when Becchio flicks it on. Sick of watching him do that and the rest just ball watch.
LETS HOPE 2013 BRINGS MORE HAPPYNESS!!!

Warnock however keeps playing brown and we keep getting battered whilst he continues to pick him, I suppose that's graysons fault as well?

I worried now. We HAVE to spend big in jan. if we can't compete with other clubs for players there was no point GFH taking us over cus the crowds will drop even more if at least 4 quality players AREN'T signed. Warnock is starting to worry me cus he hints we have no real clout or is he just being secretive. Hope it's the latter.
BTW this season is not the season even if we get to the playoffs we will not win because we won't sign 4-6 quality players in jan

Believable4 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2012 06:21:35
Warnock just means we won't spend 20k + pw on wages .if liecester want a player that bad they will win against any championship club.we won't over spend and until we get rid of the poor players and reduce squad we won't be paying much higher wages.
