new poster to site.
having been a leeds fan for all all my 61 years. been through the good years and now in these . let's say darker times but still sacking Redfearn is not the right option at this time and as for MC we shouldn't whine about him at least he cares unlike everyones favorite uncle ken and that bloody gfh group. having said that the game tonight was hardly watchable

must agree with most of the posters.
Why persevere with Dukara No positive affect on the game needs to be replaced with someone who can hold the ball or a proven poacher (yes I know that relies on service). At least someone with an assured touch. If he has no great faith in Sharpe or Morrison then let's have a look at Montenegro?
The midfield is okay and potentially our best area but (as with all the team) needs to play with pace. The defence falls short so needs a holding midfielder/defender patrolling in front of them. Again, as the current lot also fall short how about Bellusci in front of Cooper - Del Fabro? (or any permutation)
Am I reading too much into it or is there an untold story on Adryans stamina?
Not played as much as some players yet by Redders admission he looks "leggy" and when he is tipped to start does not come on until it is virtually too late to affect the outcome.
Can I ask that whenever our midfield get the ball then run at their defence. Scare them. Do not take your time and look for the perfect pass. Do not play it back or square, any mug can do that, you are better than that. Prove it.
Whilst I agree that changing a manager mid stream is not the answer I must question team selection and tactics, especially away from home. Also the lack of Plan B or C. Also the lack of changes when things are clearly not working. I still have faith though we are too close to the R word for comfort.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed but we are also close to the drop zone. Too much emphasis on pretty football - need to get stuck in and let them know who is boss and take control - it's becoming a joke. Give some of the bench warmers a go - at least they have been performing in the reserves and seem hungry for it!

Mercifully, as it happens, I was out for a meal tonight so couldn't see the game (Don't think I'll bother watching the recording). My questions are, which I hope someone can answer: Why do Del Fabro and Montenegro keep featuring on the bench but never get brought on - AND WHERE IS SLOTH?

30 Dec 2014 22:48:48
we seam to use the same 14/15 players not working same tactics we play the same way every game even when we have a kick off everybody to one side and long ball into corner and who gets the ball they do might as well let them have kick off save time don't the players watch other teams prem games see how they play and learn

We were OK for the first 40 mins. Football is cyclical - Steve McLaren can sit up in the stands on his 'phone as long as he likes but who can forget 'the Wally with the Brolly'? Wigan did us a favour tonight - Alex Mowatt it will get better. You've got ten days to get Neil Lennon and Bolton sorted. Ready steady go.

Absolute garbage the main problem is we have these Italians who are an absolute waste of space bianchi offers absolutely nothing bellusci with his orange boots can't tackle and can't head the ball perfect centre back material berardi also offers nothing we are in a complete mess. Same team every week sorry redders time to fall on your sword

Obviously readers didn't read my post regarding sloth del fabro and Monte needs to grow some balls and start these surely can't be any worse than what we got mowatt and cook need a rest and we need width and defence oh and possibly a striker none on target league one here we come

When asked before the game ' what would be the key to winning the game ahead'? The obvious answer would've been to score more than Derby & play better & create more opportunities etc etc . Redfearns answer was 'Workrate' yea right . therein lies the problem again we concentrate more on workrate than actually creating chances & taking them!! inmho.

Men against boys I'm afraid. Young legs ran out of steam and That coupled with an inability to make a pass stick, poor first touches and a lack of concentration and then reverting to lumping the ball long when you're up against probably the biggest set of defenders in the league. Derby are a class act and show what you need in this league, it's not a team full of boys! At least my predicted 3-0 was wrong, every cloud has a silver lining eh!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2014 21:45:15
Whats that now 8 points out of possible 30.
Not good enough is it!
All things being equal redders should be gone!
BUT we've tried new managers and where has that got us. need consistency.
Listen to game on 5 live and savage was calling for a leeds change of tactics at half time.
Guess like is stated time and again on this site we need a plan b.
But think we need a plan A and B
We got a plan c

For once then I agree with savage but please never mention that erm bufoon again

Well I have been supporting Leeds for 51 years, and I am lost for words or answers,
How many times do we give the ball away, how many free headers do we give in the six yard box over the last six years, how can we be two nil down and not bring your best player on till 80 mins.
You cannot keep playin cook and mowett in midfield match after match, great young players but need to learn there trade ,
How can you not have a shot on target,it's very very sad,
All you could here on telly, yes could not get there before comments come in,was Leeds fans singing as always, best fans shit team

We can't rely on mo watt and cook avery game. They're young, they're both great players but we lack both strength and creativity in mid field. We need to able to rotate them at that age. It's not academy football. We need to be able change things around play a different style if needed . That was a rotten display. I'm shocked how bad we are. It's very worrying

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree we were so poor, Redders needs to change formation and players as he is not getting results, we seem to have no idea, plan and even heart never mind skill.

If he doesn't get a win in the next 3 league games then I can hear an axe being swung, if we haven't won by then we will need someone to keep us up

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2014 21:38:40
Here is my view of tonights game firstly we could never have won because incredibly we did not have a shot on target in 93 minutes that should set major alarm bells ringing, we did okay in first half but would have switched Cooper to left back and Del Fabro to centre half, Beradi did okay but always on the wrong foot and never crosses the half way line. The goal was three mistakes nobody tracked Hughes, Cooper missed the clearance and then poor control from Mowatt, just as we were getting close to half time and then regrouping.

We never looked like scoring and Doukara had a nightmare I counted at least six times that when he received the ball he gave it away, this frustrated me so much I decided to watch him carefully in the 2nd half to see what he did, this was it,

46mins- gave ball away
47mins- gave ball away
49 mins- lost marker at free kick goal scored
50mins- gave ball away
61mins-gave ball away
65 mins- subbed

He was dropped two weeks ago for being ineffective, we then bring Sharp in who scores, and then gets dropped two games later for Doukara.

Cooper. Gave the ball away himself three times in 10 mins in the 2nd half

Bianch- Ineffective stupid foul on Ibe that led to goal, no threat in their half, should not have started on recent performances and then gets subbed on 79 mins, Adryan came on and we looked far more dangerous

Sharp- never touched the ball when he came on I don't think

Overall a performance so lacking in confidence, if any players were watching with a view to coming, they would have been scared off, until we get players who can get wide and take players on like they had we are going nowhere, just hope we get the 4 players we need who play in the positions we need them. I personally think we are in trouble until we have a manager who is experienced and has control over the transfers, by all means get Salerno to do the deals but they have to be picked by the manager, we should have spent the right money on one when Warnock went. It is too late to change that this season but it has to be looked at if these performances continue through the season.

The only plus was the fans never stopped singing throughout, we all really deserve so much better than what we are getting.

Totaly agree markdavo what does bianchi actually bring to the team?? he must be good in training?? why not give montenegro a run out? we all know what the strikers we have are capable of which isn't right much why the hell didn't he start with the same team that beat them at home?

Watching game on tv and the commentator kept saying useless and I thought he was talking about Leeds.
Then I realised he was saying Eustace the Derby player. I'll have to get a new hearing aid!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - His voice did make it sound like useless lol.}

30 Dec 2014 21:30:28
Why is bianchi starting and getting game time? He can't pass, he can't run, he can't shoot, can't keep the ball. You have got adryan on the bench and Montenegro who I don't know much about but think he has pace. We have no creativity no pace no quality. Really don't see how we go forward from here?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2014 21:28:15
well another poor display from the once mighty whites.fullbacks kept too busy in defence to give much support to forwards .so no attack! we never look like scoring but the highlight of the game our wonderful support

Bellusci is a waste of time. Spends 90 minutes backing off, arguing or giving stupid free kicks away.

30 Dec 2014 21:17:44
Man this is getting annoying just go 4-5-1 with two holding midfielders, if we stop conxeding stupid goals and build from that we may actually get a goal. I would of brought on adryan for austin at half time as he has being a waste of space then brought mowatt central with cook and doukara on left, we are just doing nothing in midfield ans it needs to change. Put in the big money for someone lile commons from celtic in summer window if we actually survive this year. Yes I am ambitious

Same old problems with the goal conceded. Can't stop cross, weak defending. It never changes. If he continuoes with this system and the same players it won't change. Teams know how to play us they know our weaknesses. We will loose way more than we win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2014 12:17:47
Changng the manager again would not be the answer, in fact it wuld be counter-productive We need better players. Sadly the two people in charge of player recruitment (Cellino & Salerno) are not very good at it.
So basially we are screwed unless 3 other teams manage to make a bigger mess of things than Cellino has (whch is unlikely).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2014 20:39:39
Bic. I think your right , we can't survive on cast offs from seria b. we need players who aree proven in this league but we won't pay the money to get them so yeah at the moment we are screwed

Agree0 Disagree0

You are right, Massimo is to blame, love his passion but he has screwd us up by not understanding our league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Me, I blame the players, MC doesn't go on the pitch, are we really saying are squad are not good enough for championship?

sorry but the manger/players have to take responsibility, if we were mid table and needed to improve then I would agree with the MC bit needing to buy better players but at the moment it is down to the team and Redders.
No shots on target again this half, shocking and all a bit sad but maybe Derby can score an own goal for us to help us out a bit!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2014 21:03:07
Voices fm Eason yes, the players I can see are not good enough absolutely but cellino thought he could bring in players from serie b on a fraction of wages and be competitive . He is in charge of recruitment , he hasn't brought the right players in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree why can we not bring in a dexent coach. Redfearn is completely inadept at changing anything despite how obvious it is. Where is sloth? Why hasn't adryan started who did so well against derby last time? Why is sharp not playing in reserves? Cook and mowatt both need a break and austin is a waste of spaxe

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2014 12:16:47
I think we should put Beradi into Byrams position & move Byram into the winger position of right wing. He is attack minded and he is good at getting into the box and if not scoring putting a few crosses in. He has got us a few pens from bombing in the box too. He can also help out at right back as he is defensive minded. let's face it we have nothing to lose by having a go at this. Redfearn or should we call him the 'diamond' geezer (fond of the crap diamond formation) needs to open his mind to other tactical options before we hit rock bottom. Still waiting to see what Steve Thompson has contributed to our poor league run aswell.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can't believe it but I agree with a lady for once in my life

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Liverlass, as usual. Doesn't look like we are getting any wingers this side of a long way head, so def worth a try

Liverlass for coach with Redders as assistant

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverlass that's a fair idea, also why not try a 4-4-1-1 formation with adryan in free role behind striker, midfield might get more of a hold on the game then! STW

30 Dec 2014 11:54:15
Every game now is must win, I'm concerned that the loan players might not have the fight and drive for it. 2 wingers is an absolute priority, just to give us a different angle to work with. I don't think redfearn should be sacked because it could rock the boat even more but he does need to pluck up his ideas, maybe a few new signings will help us with that!

Well its two massive dissapointments this xmas for me, and I`m not talking about the truth behind santa claus ( I figured that out in 1977 when I didn`t get a skateboard under the tree)
Firstly, AC/DC`s new album is pretty pants really. The greatest band on the planet has sadly lost its driving force through ill health and it shows ( all the best Malcom ) They may still fill stadiums and sell massive amounts of merchandise, but the back catalogue is what keeps them going. We can always replay "powerage" "back in black" etc.
This brings me to the second dissapointment Leeds Utd.
just like AC/DC. not everyones cup of tea but once mighty.
we have one or two shining lights but there is no Malc driving us on, no Bon Scott providing an experienced street wise head showing us the way to fame and success. The band will eventually pack up due to age, but Leeds can rejuvinate and use our past catalogue to inspire new glories. I`m getting very worried about our situation. could we be on the highway to hell (league 1) or are we going to 'stand up' 'shake the foundations" and be " back in business"
Lets wish for a happier 2015 for all whites fans.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Shame bout the new dc album trev, not heard it yet but ill take your word. its not going to live up to powerage or anything with Bon Scott.

Any honest predictions for tonight? I'm pretty sure Derby will feel they have a point to prove and we will have to be mentally and physically tough to get near them. I hate to say it but our best chance is to spoil the way they play, get behind the ball and sit it out for 90+ minutes. I still see 3-0 unfortunately. Please prove me wrong!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well Titi
The problem is it totally depends what team turns up. We could lose 8-0 or sneak a jammy point. But since we don't get the expected points against the lower teams, we are going to have to pick up some unexpected ones sooner rather than later or we are in deep deep doggy do. You'd have to be mad to make a prediction about tonight - I'll say 4-1 and hope I've got the score the wrong way round

I'm starting to worry, We are only going one way, it's a Status Quo revival, 'down down deeper and down'. We have to stop the rot somehow, and with the players we have.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And Status Quo songs are the most repetitive there are, so the signs are not good

I don't think it's rocket science. We are now one point above the relegation places because that's where we deserve to be. Be honest how many times have we played really well this season? Huddersfield? Derby? I'm struggling now.
Three coaches have had a go with this set of players and none of them have got them playing consistently well.
We may all be all shouting for Sloth, Montenegro, Del Fabro etc to come into the side but surely Redfern works with all the squad day in day out and picks his best eleven to start every game.
If we can only bring in loan players in January how committed to the cause are they going to be?
Not long ago I was very optimistic about this squad but I now really do fear the worst because I feel we are just not good enough.
Anyway a 6-0 win today with hat tricks for Morison and Sharp!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

May I suggest Redfearn has tunnel vision in terms of players and his diamond formation. I mean how many times must he play that formation only for it to fail.

On ssn app
There is a great piece called is irvine the issue around Alan irvines tenure at west brom
This for me is what I have been saying about Leeds all season
It runs parallel with us
Replace irvine for the three coaches we have had
Replace terry burton for Nicolas Salerno and replace there foreign signings of brown gamboa and blanco with biachini adryan bellusci beraradi
Time to realise lads the man accountable can not be replace but must be hounded out of are club before he ruins us and then abdicates his responsibility and cuts a loss with us citing other causes to his demise
