I think any money we get for Ross will go towards balancing the accounts. Any players we sign will be free transfers. Don't expect any star signings, it is not going to happen. Hope someone has stayed in Leeds to put Paddy Kenny through his paces. What did he bring in his lunch box. Is that why he missed the plane, he was still finishing his lunch from the previous day.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think Kenny was hiding his lunch up his jumper.

Ponte
Still blabbing on like Victor Meldrew!

Hockaday is coach, he coaches the players given to him. He DOES NOT source/buy the players that's the managers job, hence manager-coach 2 different people.

I didn't want hock as COACH but give the guy a chance, either support your team like TRUE Leeds fans do or keep dragging them down that will work wonders for team moral.

Hi ed. Do you know if we have a sell on % clause for Snodgrass? I'm hearing he's signed for Hull for around £7m, could be a nice little bonus!

{Ed003's Note - like I said earlier I have no idea sorry oxford.}

I think the players we will sign tomorrow are cira the Italian goalkeeper cannot remember his name and moltz

I believe we have signed very very few `decent` players for quite a few seasons now. Zalukas, Wooten, Peltier, Green, Stewart, Hunt, these guys just did`nt perform and I just keep thinky why?. Zalukas showed a lot of promise but then the gremlins seemed to move in overnight and he was shocking from then on.

We can only hope our scouting staff/systems seriously improve because I feel we have wasted money the club can ill afford on poor players, unforgiveable!.

If Ross McCormack should leave I wish him all the very best and thank him for keeping us in the Championship with his goals last season.

MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree totally with your comments. After all BmcD was supposed to be a chief scout years ago and he signed all that rubbish. Disappointed were letting Stewart go, thought he was very poor last ssn but in that gutless side almost all of them were sh**e. I think Stewart will be pretty goid given support & service at right times, not just when midfielders were scared of losing the ball. He will prob be amazing for his next team esp when visiting ER like many others inc barndoor billy. Think Messi would have looked crap in last ssn side , as for Ross if going PL I wish him well, ifnot going to give him hell on return to ER

I reckon we will have a small squad this season, a lot of youth and a few Italians. I wonder if we will make a couple of big signings or look at the lower divisions for cheaper wages. I'm happy for the changes it's about time someone is trying to do something about debts and hopefully take us forward. Got to get behind the team who ever ends up in it!

I am finding the cull of all the terrible players very refreshing, we have all seen the overpaid players with a bad attitude over the last 2 seasons.
Sorry to see Ross going but let's see what the squad is at the start of the season before we panic,
Finally any chance Austin can join the exodus

Noticed a picture of RC talking with hockawho probably 1st day back after training. Anyone else detect hostility in RC's posture, clearly doesn't like the new regime. As much as I like RC and all he has done for leeds I think his presence would be a problem for team cohesiveness and undermining the coach. Shame RC can't manage the change but this happens in football as in life. Shame, we need a minimum of 6 mill for him, more like 8 for true worth and we will be ok with any replacement(s)2 quality signings realistically for me.

30 Jun 2014 19:36:11
On fulham site they are odds on to get rc for 4million hope that's not the case we should hold out for 6-8 million but why fulham surley that's a step back for ross could understand if he wanted to join prem club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One word answers your question - WAGES!

Ed will we receive any money for Snoddy transfer to Hull?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A there is no mention of it I guess we aren't yet another example of total mismanagement from the ex owners.

Who's going to keep us up next season? Noel Hunt? I don't think so, looking at the squad of players in Italy your looking at a very poor squad bar 2 or 3 this squad was nowhere good enough last season and unless major quality comes in expect more heavy defeats than wins. Today's Leeds fan equals easily pleased with no passion or aggression give me the Leeds fan of 89/90 any day.

Ros was our saviour last season yet again we sell the only quality we have. Just hope we bring genuine quality in. MOT

Chin up kopshop. I seem to remember when Smithy and Viduka left the same was said, also Beckford and Becchio. We don't know yet who will step into Ross' boots. I would reserve judgement until business is done and the season starts. We need players who are committed to Leeds, if not, adios. Cellino has shown his commitment with investment and turning the club inside out to empty out the mess that preceded him, at least give the guy a sporting chance. Ps I have supported Leeds since 72!

Top years late sixties early seventies, Gelderd boot boys, Wrecking Crew, brings back memories

Agree0 Disagree0

Kopshop
Give MC a chance, frozen bank account, transfer embargo, hidden cameras, sale of Calgari, hemorageing of money @ ER/TA, LUFC losing £1 mill a month is just a few things he's trying to sort out.

He said give him 2-3 yrs to get us where we belong, Rome wasn't built in a day mate that's where we went wrong in the past.

Well it looks like were going to be saying adios to ross .
whilst I will be eternally grateful for his effort and goals last season, for the rest of his time here he has been average at best .
If we could get 6 - 8 million for him I think it would be good business .
Just heard Pillsbury have pulled out of a deal for padded kenny as he was too fat to be their doughboy!

He has had one good and one excellent season with us but it looks like he is going. He would have been in Italy otherwise. If we get at least 7m it is good business. there is no point trying to keep someone who wants to go. His loyalty last season was commendable in one way but we had to buy it with a bigger contract. No player is bigger than the club and we can't keep throwing bigger and bigger contracts at him for fear of losing him. It's time to move on and the squad will hopefully be better for the money we get.

I'm sorry. My daughter has pointed out thast weight is not an indicatiion of character and does not necessarily render Paddy Kenny a bad athlete. Stop this stereotyping.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry DRT, but that superb athlete laughing as 6 goals flew past him deserves all he gets .
sorry to upset yer daughter .

If he is not fit for work then he should be suspended without pay - disgusting - nothing professional about that! As far as character then he is clearly weak willed and lazy!

Worrying as soon as Simon Austin broke the story as he has the ear of Cellino. Would appear that RmC raised the issue during the round of face to face meetings when the move to Newcastle was mooted and then turned down. Interpreting RmC tweetage, he's remained doubtful about committing and perhaps MC has had a chianti moment with Austin on the phone. Anyway. he's likely to be offski and let's see what Salerno can do with a few millions.

Paddy Kenny not travelled with Leeds to Italy, has anyone seen the pictures of him on news now .
Who ate all the pies

30 Jun 2014 12:25:56
He hasn't travelled to Italy because they where unable to squeeze his backside into a plane seat.

Agree0 Disagree0

He went to the airport but the pilot said they hadn't enough fuel on board to take kenny lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He actually boarded the plane but it was then too heavy to take off

Didn't the Hock make some comment last week of getting rid of excess baggage? Well here you go.

Dont Panic! Ross did his bit last season and if we get a fistfull of dosh its a good leaving present. Its all about Leeds not any one player. Over the last decade we have had owners who have not had Leeds at their heart and that is bound to filter down through the club. But now we have an owner with vision and passion for our beloved club, that too will filter down, we are in a much better place now than we have been for years, so buckle up and enjoy the ride guys and gals

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said mate. I wanted us to build a team around Ross but if he is determined to go the price must be right & tbh anything over £7m is good business. No way he's worth that imo. I thank him for last ssn but doubted he could replicate. Good luck to him & we move on MOT

TA, TA Rosco! Thanks for keeping us up last season.Right mc n and mr nobody over too you! see blackman on plane(stewardess maybe!?). On a brighter note young Skelton on flight, good young defender, just hope the injury hasn't affected that!

Well if Ross goes would be a shame very good player at this level, kept us up last season. Would hate to see him at another championship club but if it's the case I hope he doesn't get booed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Harte
No good keeping a player that don't want to stay for one reason or another.
If he goes to another championship club I for one WILL BOO HIM as he's not bettering himself, if he selects a premiership club then fine and hope it works out for him.

I agree with you as well. He said he wld leave only for PL football or words to that effect. Give him hell if he goes to championship side
