Ok shoot me down if you want but my inner football manager is coming out. Why not try Saiz up front. He has the face and the ability to both score and create goals. Then we can have a attacking midfield of Alioski and Dallas on the wings and Pablo in the middle of the three. Then Forshaw and and Vieira/Klich as the defensive midfield two. With the defensive midfield told to make the tackles high up in our own half then play simple passes to the attacking 4 who can cause havoc with their pace and swapping positions.

Think alioski would do better up front imo, more of an eye for goal. To be honest I am bored of setting up in a 4231, and think that if ranieri comes thatll change. I can see him playing his usual 442, and playing Hernandez alongside Forshaw in the middle, and Hernandez up top with Edmondson, saiz and Clemens on the wings, oh a man can dream.

Doubt he would play someone like Edmonson up front all season, he is only 16 after all. I would put Hernandez and Roofe up front as this would give the pace and the power. Then Edmonson or Clarke coming off the bench

Dallas and Hernandez def bit part next season and Saiz and Alioski will have to again prove their worth. Alioski prob the best of the four form wise. None good enough as strikers.

I'm hoping that Pablo is going to be doing his coaching badges and being shown what Head Coach/Manager is all about. It's time we had some continuity, recruit from within, has to be better than just chancing it with whoever is available.

Hernandez created more chances than every other player in the division last year! He will be critical, particularly if we get a decent striker.

We need a quick thinking, quick moving poacher next season if we are to really capitalise on the quick thinking brains of both Hernandez and Saiz. They can both slot the passes thro if only we had a nimble CF to play on their wavelength. Someone brave in the box, good first touch and lightning over 5 yards.

Totally agree Leo. And to clarify, by "every other player", I meant "any other player". even Pablo couldn't create over 5,000 chances in a season!

Loris . that sounds like Mr Marriott :)

If Hecky gets sacked after coming back off his holiday, does that mean he will go on another holiday?

Anywhere as long as he’s not one of these ex gaffers that spout shite about us. Saying we should do this, we should do that, sign this player, that player etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2018 08:11:26
Cant help but think if we sign the desired targets a 3 at the back would suit our new manager, just need someone in who knows how to play it. BPF Barts, Ayling, Jansson Coyle, Forhsaw, Klich, Pearce, Hernandez, Hernandez, Saiz LOOK OUT WOLVES WERE COMING

Believable7 Unbelievable3

30 May 2018 08:52:06
Possibly. Hernandez can’t do a full game. Is only an off the bench player

Time for Clarke and Edmondson and alioski to step up at that point then isn't it. I also hear were in for a lad from the Bundesliga called Clemens? right hand sided player, good at whipping balls in.

Whipping balls sounds painful!

Gotta pull you up on that one Aus. After his brief layoff, Pablo was one of the most energetic players on the park, aside from Alioski. And in terms of creativity, once Saiz went off the boil, he was the only real creative spark we had. You can't bench the player of this season simply because of his birth date.

My mates (all Leeds supporters) and I were sat talking watching the Champions League Final and one of my mates came out with this., Here’s a question for you all he said, “if LUFC did not exist and you as a teenager had a choice of all the clubs out there, who would you choose? and why? . my answer to a great question was Mansfield Town as my Grandad supported them and he always talked about the Stags. It’s just a what if, so no thumbs down and only honest answers need post! 👍👍

I would do what I did as a ten year old the first time and choose the best team about. I love the way man city and Liverpool play the game, top quality, extremely skilful fast attacking football. Man city prob slightly better. Thank god you didn’t ask the question when fergie was at United!

Actually happened to me Mike! 7 years old and dear old Auntie Eileen (not quite the ticket bless her) bought me a Leeds kit for Christmas only problem was it was an Everton kit ! So every time she visited which thankfully was not too often I was expected to put it on. So I think subconsciously I sort of developed a little soft spot for Everton. Tenuous I know, but my Grandfather and Father like the Devon lot ! So good old Auntie Eileen I say.

For me it would probably be Newcastle as my mother, grand parents and wife are from there.

IT would have been Sunderland for me, as my family were all from Durham but settled later in Leeds.

To be honest, I'm a 71 baby so growing up watching football late 70s early 80s would have to say Liverpool, great team

I'm a massive Liverpool fan and they are my second club after Leeds but it would have to be Bradford City (professional club - it would be Guiseley if we count non-league) because they are the next closest to where I was born.

For me, it has to be the mighty blues, Frickley Athletic. I'm a South Elmsall boy y' know :)
