Despite my other post here, I am also very proud of our players in the main, the fact that my local landlord who is a staunch Liverpool supporter admitted the best team didn't win says a lot? I was watching at a pub and it seemed like a home game, never heard a single Liverpool song all night! Marching on, hopefully, the future is bright, the future is white! Keeping the faith Leeds4alongtime.

I think Pontus is great but Ayling is getting better and better. For me our best signing. Played really well last night as a team. Need a cover centre back. Creative midfielder. Charlie Adam? Crouch or Rhodes up front. Let's think big
Thoughts?

I think Crouch would be a backward step. Need someone to grow with the team. Won't get Rhodes don't think. Have we anyone coming through from the youth teams? Great performance on Tues night. Good things ahead with a couple of good signings come Jan, MoT.

Me too Leeds4alongtime. I started supporting Leeds when I was 6 and I am now 56. I live in australia now but still woke up at 4am to watch the match shown here at 5.45. Just as excited as when I was a kid. I love our club. Wish I had moved to Leeds rather than this country. MoT forever Leeds.

Last night could have gone either way for me. Both sides had opportunities to put the ball in the net and on more than one occasion. Positives are that we have a young, fresh, exciting squad which we can look to and go to games last night and be hopeful for a win. If we play week in week out how we did last night, at this level I can see top 6 being realistic. It's going to be a good year if the players keep their tails up. Roofe, Sacko, Cooper, Taylor all performed well for me last night. I think woods finally getting plenty of service, hence being our top scorer by a landslide, and with a fully fit midfield and a sharper defence we shouldn't have problems scoring goals and winning games. Negatives are that we have reoccurring injuries in big players who can impact a game for us massively. Needed hernandez, bridcutt and Pontus last night, would have been a far more interesting game. To hold on for best part of 80 minutes and for 10/15 have Liverpool on the ropes shows promising signs. To top it all off the fans were great, and I'm loving the Garry monk chant! Bring on Villa, MOT.

Am so proud of the boys last night. I expected a loss but did not want a bad one and we certainly avoided that, giving as good as we got, in every department. The goalkeepers we have both have their own qualities but as a shot stopper Silvestre is unequalled. Surely a strong gk coach can sort out his distribution problem. As for the rest then medals for all. With reservations on Dallas (good worker but far from exciting) and Wood, poor first touch, cannot head and the rest very average.

have to disagree about wood, last season top scorer, this seasons top scorer, he is no viduka but very good at this level. what can he do to get people off his back? where people slagging off chapman back in the day when he couldn't do anything and was very average footballer but was top scorer year after year.

Wood is well on his way to 20 plus goals, we need more goals from other areas Roofe is getting better with every game for me Antonsson as more ability and will do more damage than Doukara.

Great point about Chapman bermo.

30 Nov 2016 18:57:47
I watched Chapman a lot. Wood is nowhere as Good. chapman scored far more goals in a higher division and his positional skill and eye for goal were excellent. Wood is scoring a few but he is a player who leads the line and scores a few. In that respect he does create enough or get in goal scoring positions enough. He is the best we have though at the moment. though. He is no Chapman. Wish he was.

Wood is not a prolific scorer but he is a work horse and has kept double the amount out than he has scored! I like him, just wish he could get his first touch and heading sorted. Perhaps we should try him behind Roofe?!?

wood is knowhere near as good as chapman but chapman was limited did people moan about him was my uestion as he was no viduka? wood is the best we have and consistanly scores a lot 12 goals at this point is great and last season top scorer. I don't get how anyone can slate our onsistant top scorer like champan was more my point I was not trying to put them in same class honest.

I realise what your saying Bermo. I remember some fans saying Chappers 1st touch was awful and he wasn't mobile enough when he first signed. A slight improvement on big Pearson some said. They soon ate their words!

As I have suggested before If you swap Silvestre for Greene you will get an improvement in some respects but lose out in others. They are both suspect from High balls Green because he is a flapper and Slivestre because he is a flapper and is not decisive when he needs to attack the ball coming into the area. Green is a good shot stopper but not as good as Silvestre. You pays your money. Decent performance last night. Sacko showed he can make chances from his pace but, as he has done on a few occasions, his shooting is awful especially when he is through on goal. Given his poor shooting ability it's very frustrating when he doesn't set up team mates when he has the chance. Only consolation he seems to have potential and if he is anything of an athlete/footballer he will get better. The worrying thing is, at his age, I would have thought he would have already learnt how to hit the target when in space and with time to spare. I Still think we lack the cutting edge. We are better than we were but that the frustration. We get so close to making the breakthrough, and it's there for all to see, then a bad pass or wrong decision blows it. As Monk says that's the next step. Villa, on Saturday, will again show us how far we've come. Hope we have at least one of the senior players back- Dallas isn't included in that sentiment. If Cooper plays we will definitely concede at least one.

Some good points Hess, it's not a bad thing to have 2 keepers of similar abilities, keeps them both on their toes. Sako is a frustrating player but if his passing and shooting were better so would his price tag and he'd be playing at a higher level. With a squad without injuries Dallas and Cooper will be on the bench at best. We are moving in the right direction but expect more frustration in the near future.

in a very disagreeing mood today so do apologise but how can you say if cooper plays we will conceed? cooper has shown how good he is when he is not playing opposite the walking mistake that is bell-end-chi. Cooper played well against newcastle and was great against liverpool- we kept a clean sheet against liverpool while he was playing then conceeded two when he was off. I think pontus is great as is bartley so not saying cooper should start but as a third choice centre back he is great and maybe the best third choice cb in the league.

Have to disagree. I said we usually concede and we do when he is playing. He plays well enough but then unfortunately goes missing and we concede. We didn't against Liverpool and that was the exception and he didn't stay the full 90. There have been other times when we were secure at the back and we almost immediately. You are right though he is the best back up centre half we have.

So Lucas backed us and Newcastle to win. And the actual results were? Now I'm not saying he's cursed, or implying that he's the child of the devil or anything ( probably) , but I do think now is probably the right time for him to start donating his betting money to a more worthwhile cause. I can take cheques or bank transfer or paypal. Whatever works best for you Lucas . You know in your heart it makes sense mate .
