Hope cellino can find the funds to buy back ER.
That would give us some stability and a saving long term.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe he has the funds and a certain person won't sell or if they do it's at an overvalued price?

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point Andy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't the ackers we got for McBadgekisser supposed to go towards buying back ER? I'm also hearing the banks are knocking MC back for loans. He doesn't have long if he's going to fulfil his promise…. fingers crossed…. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a point there Andy

Is it not in the contract that if we meet the pre-agreed price they can't refuse to sell ER back?

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know our presidents thoughts on TA! Do you think if negotiations to buy back ER don't pan out to his liking, he might decide to build a new job lot, ground and training facilities? Just a thought!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does MC need to borrow money to buy ER. I thought he was loaded.
Or am I being a bit thick?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok here is the low down so far on ER.

It is not about the money, he said he has enough to buy it cash but why would he need to as a loan would be less than half what he pays now and makes more financial sense. don't ask me why I have no idea. The 11m from RMC is going towards the purchase so it is only a 5m loan/top up. It is a fixed price for ER so there is no negotiation to worry about and the price is in the contract.

The problem if there is one is who actually owns it? A buddy who knows more than me has been doing digging and ER has been passed through various companies what KB and others have owned including his wife in various parts in the world from a council flat in Manchester(no honestly) to the British Virgin Isles. Some names keep coming up and these are
Krasner and Co borrow 15m from Jack Petchey, then sell ER/TA six months later to remove their personal liabilities on the loan
If you look at the structure of each of the companies they are involved in it does appear to be some kind of consortium. So far we have KB and his wife, Krasner, Alder, Petchey, Rabbi Weis, Auberry Weis, Benny Stone, Yvonne Allen.

I hope some of you know these names as I am clueless. ER has been passed to many many many shadow companies and trusts in various countries with many more people but these names keep coming up in different companies. So I guess it is not as easy as paying 16million and getting the deeds.

And one last titbit I believe Petcheys wife build Billy's statue!

Nice post Spain. Cuddly Ken must have been overjoyed when Cellino came along, after years of raking in rent from owners who neither had the clout or inclination to buy back ER, he suddenly has someone who can and that ownership becomes a very powerful tool, such as it is with Chelsea where the property he owns is preventing Abramovich from his development plans. You want to buy ER Massimo? Well, I have this radio station and it would be really nice if I had exclusivity to match days blah blah. His finger prints are still all over our club and its not a pleasant feeling

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting stuff guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Spain and vid

Stinks!

Agree0 Disagree0

Scoops
Yeh heard that rumour but who made the contract? Does the contract transfer from owner to owner?who is the curent owner?
I've said it all along we pay a few million every year to rent ER and Pappa Smurf won't give easy money like that up without a fight ;(

Hoping Redfern gets priced out by Cellino. We need an experienced manager. Gary Mac for me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Smitch
Noooooooooooooooooooo

If we need an experienced manager, why Gary Mac?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry have to side with george and speedy gary mac only experienced in getting sacked in leeds top five poorest managers ever not for me, maybe as a scout good eye for players

Agree0 Disagree0

I said noooooooooooo because I actually want Redders. For the rest of this season at least. Just think he's the right fit to steady the ship and make some progress at the moment.
If it turns out to be the wrong choice I'll be disappointed. But atm there is nobody I would rather have

Agree0 Disagree0

Redders in. The jigsaw is complete. Get the beers out and enjoy the ride

Colin was an experienced manager and in the words of George Whitebread I only have two words to describe his tenure "S***e" and "S***e"!

Agree0 Disagree0

Redfern got very lucky against Bolton and Boro. Bournemouth shoulda been out of sight after 20 minutes also.

We need a quality manager to get us promoted, not a youth coach

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't agree Smitch at all, although I'm not thinking of promotion I admit.
Given the owner and the current squad of players, I don't think there is any likelihood that anyone could do any better than Redders will

Agree0 Disagree0

So what experience has Gary Mac got?
I think that's what everyone's asking!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you will find the Boro game was under the Hocks stewardship Smitch, as was the Watford game you mentioned earlier. I think you mean Birmingham?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bournemouth was redfearns and I didn't mention Watford?

Agree0 Disagree0

Smitch
You did mention we need a manager/coach with experience like G-Mac, just wondering what experience he has??

What a difference a few months make!!

Now the dust has settled and the players have contributed um um to there new team, what do people think about selling McCormack & Smith now??

Be carefull you know Ross will be trying his damned hardest to put a couple past us soon lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who is Mcormack? But I do sort of remember that lad smith how is he doing? Never see him on team sheets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think I saw him kissing a badge somewhere down south

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a great price but would love ross up front with anutic if honest like douk but think ross is quality. that said for deal glad he went it was great money for good/above average player. smith offers somthing different if morrison don't step up to plate. still onwards and upwards love our current squad

Agree0 Disagree0

I think. I don't think. Leave it in the past, we have a new set of strikers, BUT, the most important thing, we have a team, every one a part of the whole. With Ross it was such a one man show on occaision

Johnny Giles now saying the fans want Cellino out and encouraging the League to get better lawyers to do it! Tellingly he says the moment Cellino told ex players they could be ambassadors and get free entry to games but nothing else turned his stomach!! That's the key point isn't it Johnny boy! Now feck off!

I love Giles but am totally pissed off with these comments. He makes a ten minute appearance on a radio show over here every Thursday. It's "off the ball" on Newstalk. I have sent loads of texts over the years about the bates regime with none read out. I urge you all to inundate the show with tweets, texts, e-mails etc for his slot asking him WHY he wasn't so out spoken when Bates was ripping the club. Show starts at 7 pm.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said Spain. I'll be texting in!

Consider it done
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Onboard Spain

Im guessing he's peed off because MC has stopped ALL the freebies ;)
