Looking at recent posts including my own and maybe to rain on everyone's parade. It's a bit early to be talking of promotion and signing players for premiership football. We are close but not even in a playoff place. let's try keep our feet on the ground. Having said that we could not be playing Norwich at a better time here's hoping that we are not calling for Monk to be sacked before Xmas and in April we are in a. Higher position but until then let's be happy with making progress.

I was thinking same about Norwich.

Just re read your post Wex. I actually mean we couldn't be playing them at a worse time. After a 5 nil defeat.

Corky Norwich couldn't beat us with an extra man the other night.

Cork, you prefer play Norwich if they won their last match 5-0? Last team they want to play right now is Leeds United.

George Norwich are one the top sides in league. They will be all guns blazing after Brighton defeat. i'd take a draw all day.

I agree Cork. They were in my top 6 start of season. I'd rather they were on a losing streak when we get to play them than continually outplaying the division. I'm hoping for a draw.

Agree. Draw would be a great result there. If we get 3 or more from Norwich and Newcastle I'll be well pleased.

what talk of going up when in top six we need to sign players that are good enough for prem .

30 Oct 2016 11:44:50
Exactly, need more players like Jansson and Hernandez, internationals with experience at the highest level. Think Nugent would be a great signing.

Agree0 Disagree3

31 Oct 2016 12:54:56
Nugent is rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Oct 2016 13:31:24
i haven't seen or heard much of Nugent recently but he used to be pretty decent didn't he?

We should be looking at Wells and Rhodes.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Oct 2016 18:38:48
As Lancaster said. Assombolnga geezer would be nice.

01 Nov 2016 12:54:23
Lancaster and Cork, that bloke is contracted to his club until September 2021. Take a big fee to acquire him. Not going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Nov 2016 17:37:06
And Rhodes would be a snip I suppose?

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Nov 2016 18:03:22
True that Cork. Rhodes would probably command a fee in the region of 7m imo. Wells fee around 4m.

01 Nov 2016 22:06:28
Sounds about right George them fees. Just hope we in shake up come new year and maybe MC will spend the necessary.

well win is a win but wood needs to be careful penalty down the middle again if I can see it goal keepers will soon.

If the keeper had contact with that ball, he would have been in the back of the net as well!

bull wasn't peter lorimer.

31 Oct 2016 09:33:26
Not all of his penalties are straight down the middle and he hasn't missed one yet so don't see the problem. MM.

31 Oct 2016 11:09:32
Somebody always has to find fault with Woody, now it's because he's scored a penalty! the mind boggles.

Good post MM.

31 Oct 2016 19:47:05
Did I mention Lormier? He took that penalty a treat, if you think he can't hit a ball you are deluded.

Only way to stop a Lorimer penalty is not to be human.

The Awakening! This year above any other year over the last decade of mainly frustration and misery feels different, the cliche all the pundits go on about our club, really is beginning to happen before our very eyes. The players know it and more importantly they BELIEVE it, thanks to Massimo's brilliant decision of hiring Garry and the equally impressive Pep clotet, what these 2 guys are doing is methodical, systematic, individual man management, But what impresses me and I suspect lots of our fans and undoubtedly massimo himself is the psychology he is drip feeding the players, for the shoring up of the defence is there for all to see, not just the CBs but all of the back 4 and CDMs, getting the players to compete consistently, the banishing of the fear of playing at ER, the clever way he has quietly Brought the fans together almost like we are an extension of the team is masterly and inspirational, to show the character and never say die attitude of never giving up till the final whistle is purely down to our management dynamic duo, yes my friends and fellow leeds optimists, there is an awakening, the club will rise from its coma and March defiantly on the up, and no one will be able to stop this train with our growing momentum as we stream roller into the top 6, there maybe a few pit stops on the way but rest assured the driver of the train will get us up to full speed again, Enjoy the ride my friends, Enjoy the ride! 😎.

A sober BW would be proud DJ! 'Tis true. We are prem bound soon. Top 6 this year Tbh. I'm thinking Newcastle. Brighton should die top 2 up. But rest is open.

Great post dj and I totally agree. The juggernaut is creaking into motion at long last . I feel that if we can get a striker in January we'll be unstoppable. However, I don't think we should be going for Rhodes as a few have suggested, he seems like yesterday's man to me . I think if forest are nowhere near play offs we should flex our muscles, go for it and sign Assombalonga. He has pace, something we lack in wood and Ant and knows where the back of the net is . He's very much today's man . Enjoy the ride guys we're beginning to look like a real team . Let's worry about loans becoming permanent at the right time . Mc is no fool I'm sure he'll sign all those up that warrant it . We know who they are .

a drunk or sober bw loved that post, very true, even if we don't go up it is so good to see progression after the barron bates rapes years MOT.

Dj the beast is awake now time for some coffee. we should see if loan Barton as Rangers don't seem to want him (I say loan as if he acts up his gone) are midfield is a bit hit and miss but injuries and lots of games are not going to help . A handful striker Nugent, Grabbon .

Dog lad I have said before if he's available and we can keep his temper and his mouth shut he would be worth a punt, it's no coincidence that he was difference and helped get QPR and Burnley promoted, the Question marks as I mentioned above are his big mouth (usually on Social media) the red mist and would he upset the applecart on the training ground and in the dressing room? All big questions mate 😎.

barton is tried and tested and successful in this league. a no brainer and would make huge difference i'd take even with his soppy big scouse gob and wally hair cut. nugent is bit passed it now ain't he? (that is genine uestion as do not know his recent form at all) naki wells would be my choice if we can afford him.

Dj I agree hence the word loan, he was Burnley's best player week in week out in Champ and we need someone who can control a game week in week out . We seem to have players in that area who are excellent one week and quiet the next . I totally get his behaviour at times has been a problem and his own worst enemy saying that Burnley didn't seem to have any issues only after Rangers got hammered has there been an issue and I can only guess that he was vocal to some people about that which may not be his job but if certain players were dire .

Massive credit to Gary Monk, Wooten and Belluci are looking like 2 totally different players.

Lol. Even wood looks like a diff player.

30 Oct 2016 10:37:06
good point, everyone was talking about how to make wooten and bell-end-chi play better, it wasn't tactics or coaching you just had to change the name on the back of their shirts.
