whatever anyone thinks we are not good enough to go up or get through play offs like i keep saying i dnt care if we lose even though it hurts its the way we lose i cant accept ! none of our rivals are playing well and we still cant take advantage which tells me we dnt want it bad enough roll on next season mot !!

Absolutely gutted about today! Shocking performance again. I honestly don't think becchio is good enough, soon as a defender gets the better of him his head drops. McCormack is very inconsistent. All other teams have 1 or 2 players with pace. We may have andy white but he doesn't look to have an attacking head on him and doesn't use his abilities in my eyes
Disagree imho opinion becchio is one of the players we have got who has got a football brain. if beckford in that season we got promoted had a decent football brain and played of becchios flick offs he might have become a half decent footballer but the bloke was to lazy and nearly cost us promotion. if warnock can get us a rod wallace to play alongside becchio we would have a decent strikeforce again
Second poster - you're having a laugh? Becchio's first touch is appalling, he misses far too many good chances and his passing his worse than his first touch. He does put some effort in, granted, but he lacks quality.
The problem, in reality, is our player budget. The recently published accounts show a playing budget of 35%, that's HALF what the FA recommends as player spending as a percentage of revenue. If we were spending closer to the FA recommendation we'd at least be able to compete in the market. As it is, good players go elsewhere and we've ended up with a huge squad of dross due to the scattergun approach - a kind of transfer 'hit & hope' policy.
Warnock has the experience but will Bates really give him the 4 million in transfer fees that Warnock says is needed?
We live in hope I guess, because that's all we can do...
I think warnock played a blinder,in his latest interview,he has put the rather expensive problem right in Bates"s corner,now its put up or shut up Bates in the summer or the little respect you did have at Leeds will be lost along with a quality manager and half your first team.Heres one Leeds fan waiting for the summer ,watching Baters splutter and run out of excuses
Just to put my head in the firing line I'd be inclined to give Paynter a chance alongside McCormack. Becchio's first touch is awful, he can't hold the ball up without throwing himself on the floor and for a striker isn't that good with his head. Paynter has been here a couple of years without much of a chance (other than Grayson trying to play him as a lone striker)! so why not give him a few games; he can't be any worse than Becchio.

Maybe we should play a normal formation, i was at ER today and mccormack and snoddy looked all over the place, plus white should be on the left. And becchio needs more support, my eleven for reading game would be....

I've been to every home game this season and I thought it couldn't get any worse than Tuesday nights 7 3 drubbing but this was sole destroying. NW is right there were 21,000 of us there today and we didn't deserve that. I felt sorry for NW as he has come here with a fantastic reputation and I have to say to nearly every Leeds player you disrespected the fans and your manager with that performance. To us wearing the White shirt means something that it just obviously is beyond your comprehension. I'm absolutely gutted and you have spoilt my weekend cheers !

Unfortunately only 5 or 6 of the current squad deserve to pull on the Leeds white shirt. Only 5 or 6 are good enough to get Leeds into a top 6 position. I think NW is now realising how big a job he has in the summer, and he needs to bring in at least 6 quality players. We are now less creative and attacking than before so are no longer going to outscore the opposition, which is worrying when we are still likely to concede with a fragile defence. This season is a write off, squad not good enough to compete consistently and even if we did manage to scrap a play off position we would be put to the sword by Brum ir Blackpool etc.
Lets hope NW has it in him to rebuild this Leeds team to something that is worth watching again.....HE HAS A LOT TO DO!
I feel sorry for Warnock as he's been asked to make something out of the drivel he has been left with and without having the luxury of bringing in any of his own decent players. I'm so angry with this squad and how they feel that they can just turn up and put on the white shirt with no effort. They haven't a clue what it really means to be a Leeds player and how honoured they should be. Looking forward to Warnock showing them their p45. Roll on next season.

Absolutely shocking performance throughout the team today, Becchio was throwing himself all over the place for 20mins at the start of the game and then when he was being fouled the ref wasn't interested, the defence looked fragile .. Lees and Bruce got caught for pace and lost there man to often,Connollly doesn't want the ball, White does and can't keep hold of it,Clayton was none existent,Brown kept giving it away,Snoddy and McCormack couldnt get into the game..In all Warnock has a busy summer coming up but once he installs his own squad I still feel he will be the right man to get us promoted next season.
Who disagreed.. Are you against Warnock .. Did you attend today's game.
I suspect people were disagreeing with your comments about the ref. Becchio wasn't being fouled that much - he dives - a lot - it's embarrassing.

Absolutely. Larry was getting two points a game out of this lot which would still have us around the top 6. Things have been much worse since he was sacked and people seem to be absolutely blind to the fact.
He had his best players sold from underneath him, or offered such poor contrast that they went elsewhere.
Needing a goal with 6 minutes left so the manager takes Becchio off - why bother? Why not take a risk and take off one of the woeful centre backs - Lees was doing his best to gift them a goal anyway.

At least the current manager recognises what a striker is. larry got barn door in to replace becchio what a genius grayson was.
In fairness Paynter was banging them in before he came - it looked like a good decision at the time. In any case, all managers have mixed transfer records, especially when forced to shop in the loans & freebies market.
Barn door was banging them in so was Austin. Barn door has scored 1 in 2 years Austin is cracking them in like nobody's business. Grayson triumphs again.

Season over.. Frustrating to drop points when teams above us are gifting us with opportunities to take a playoff place.
Season was over when we let Max, Bradders & Kilkenny leave mate. It was then compounded by letting Howson go, further undermining Grayson by letting 4 of the 5 people at the heart of his team go. Then sacking a good manager, trying to replacing him with a freebie called Redfearn before being forced into appointing Warnock by the growing unrest...
There's only one solution - Bates Out.
Yeah man,Bates out,Warnock out,bring SG and Smith back,thatll get this team playing again,get a grip,the players who left wanted to go,and most of these players who were crap under SG,are still crap,most are SGs players NOT warnocks,give him a chance to rebuild,and Bates will ack him in this,FFS give it a rest.
Totally agree the only decent players in the squad inherited by warnock are gary macs signings becchio and snoddy apart from lees, white and clayton and possibly maccormack the rest are not worthy of the white shirt. lonergan the way its going will concede more than last season but he was seen by grayson as an improvement on schiemickel. pugh was crap first time round he returns just as bad. odear say no more. brown to old. i could go on. the only positive to come out of this season is the sacking of grayson. and before anybody defends him and says he got us promoted i will always thank him for that but lets not forget that was more luck than judgement he nearly f****d that up.

i believe warnock is the right man for the job and next year will be a lot more victorious than this, at the moment the squad is not good enough and seems not to respond well to whoever the manager is, contract negotiations are up in the air and no one knows where they will be come summer, im sure there will be a massive re vamp in the summer as it seems most of the squad dont have the bottle to perform in front of a proper crowd.
I hope you're right and love your optimism. Wish I could feel the same...
