The praise of Viera after so many previous complaints highlights one of the Hecky main tasks for next year. Consistency, has been conspicuous by it's absence for most of this season. Every few games each player has shown that he posseses all the right abilities. The only problem is that they haven't shown it collectively, often enough. Why, I do not know. I am neither a psychologist nor Leeds United manager. What I do know is that if it is not improved, lack of consistency will be our downfall again next season.

One good game doesn't mean he's guaranteed to play well every game. He's been poor for most of the season. The problem is both our CMs sit back, we need a box to box one.

He's 19 7 years off his peak. In most clubs he might not even be near the first team yet. From reading what PH said about him he's in good hands Good rest in the summer, strong pre season and he'll be saving us £5m in transfers at least Don't right off Phillips yet either Heckys babes 😉

Saw on twitter they were tearing alioski apart yesterday then I read that hecky gave him different instructions at half time and he ripped it up. He had a assist in the goal. My point is we tear into players for playing poor but they could be just following instructions from the boss as proved when hecky told him to go wider then cut inside behind the two strikers and caused them problems.

His best position is cutting inside, but for some odd reason we keep playing him on the other side. Not sure why "fans" keep slating him, he has 6 goals and 5 assists. What is a good return in their view?

Martyn he could be such a much better player if he read the line better as he gets caught off side a lot and stayed on his feet more.

Agreed he's a bit lightweight mezzer but in all fairness we play him out of position everyweek as we do to a few others I:E beradi and Dallas. I've watched him at international level and he tears teams to pieces in his natural position. One of our biggest problems this season has been sticking with players playing out of position and just doing OK instead of getting a quality player in to play in their natural position if that makes sense.

Sounds like they weren't good against Norwich and could've easily lost. Hopefully they will be lacking against us and we take advantage. Ekuban needs to stop wasting chances. Cairney will turn into Messi as usual.

How did we play? Was hoping for better win but beggars can't be choosers spose. Wat were plus and minuses? Whose error for goal? Goalie still looking good? Did lass and eukaban play well together?

Aussie! We played ok for periods and uninterested in parts not a great game to excite the magnificent 35k crowd. Pluses pablo and samu when he came on stopped them putting us under pressure, minuses okane and our players passing too rushed and sloppy, lassoga not interested couldn't get off the ground and too lazy, Ekuban has some great strengths about his game and i was pleased he got his first goal but he really needs to spend time on his finishing and should have had a hatrick, i would hold him back to spend an hour after training just working on one on ones, central defensive lack of marking cost us a goal and Bailey couldn't do anything about it and really didn't have anything to do save wise throughout the whole game, ekuban played ok but lassoga didn't look bothered to me Aus 😎

Summed up nicely by Thames! One thing I would say is that we need to stop giving away stupid free kicks. Their goal came from a free kick given away by Berardi which was needless and silly. I know afterwards we need to mark properly etc, that’s a given, but it makes it that much more difficult for them if they don’t have that opportunity in the first place. We saw against Cardiff how weak we can be against set pieces/balls into the box so gifting them with opportunities seems a silly thing to do and it’s something we can train for with a bit more discipline.

Agree Thames and Matt. Maybe in the summer we need to get in one or two CBs who will be commanding at set plays. Hopefully we have them in Struijk or O'Connor but if not buy them in. At the same time drill the outfield players to stop being silly in front of goal. Agree about Lassoga. If he scores he pays for himself but if not he is just excess baggage. I would not push too hard to keep him at the end of the season. In fact I would persevere with Ekuban/Grot for the next few games. Happy for Ekuban and his goal but mentally he is not a clinical goal scorer. His goal yesterday was pure luck. He took a swing and luckily, somehow it found it's way thro a forest of legs and into the far corner. If you give him time to pick a spot he fluffs it. Gets caught in two minds and either screws it wide or tamely into the goalies arms.

We need to sign Helander, his contract is up in 2019, so he won't be too expensive. Promote Struijk or O'Connor as fourth choice. I really hope we don't sign Pennington on a permanent, but I think we will. 😩

Yeah just watched the replay of their goal and it was okanes man! He let him get sway from him and didn't put a header in to clear it!
